Lace Bowl

This little bowl was so much to make! I'm think I enjoyed most my trip to Goodwill to find a bowl to decorate! The bowl I found is from Crate n Barrel and cost only $0.77!! It is cream in color. Pretty simple and pretty lovely! Also, the candle stick was only $.50 The cost of the lace was the most expensive. But, as luck would have it my local Hobby store had ribbon on sale!

The only tricker part was finding 100% cotton lace for my project. A little matte modge podge, glass glue and messy hands was all it required!

Zachary and his Nonnie collected the acorns for me!

$Dollar Store Hurricane's

I have been totally addicted to pinterest site online. It helps that they have an iphone app too! I have gotten all my crafty project ideas by browsing the site. My boards are full of ideas waiting for me to try out. I knew that I needed to get busy making things or else my pin boards would overflow and I would simply be a piner and not a doer!

The original hurricane's are inspired from a popular store and retail for $40. But,I was able to make them for $8 total! I made one trip to my local dollar store, found a few fall leaves in my very own backyard, Made a trip to my local craft store for some glass glue & frosted spray paint... well, here are the supplies I used.
As you can see, I used my cricut to make the mask for our last name "M". My cricut loved to be dusted off and used for once ;)

Originally I planned on using acorns to fill the walls of the hurricane between the candle and the vase. But, the space wasn't big enough for the acorns. So, Zachary helped me collect a few pretty leaves from our back yard instead.

The handmade hurricanes scream FALL is here!!

Terracotta Pots

I never knew that Michael's craft store sold terracotta pots! And, a few weeks ago, they were on sale! I gathered quite a few in my cart to make a few fall projects.

It was quite simple. I had chalk board spray paint laying around, so I painted the pots and their saucer black. And, I used just cheap white acrylic paint from my scrap stash to paint on our house number. The pansy's weren't on sale yet-- but I couldn't wait long enough for that! I am in the mood for fall and decorating is my mission! My front stoop is adorable, if you'll let me say that with out sounding tacky ;)

Happy Fall Y'all!!

September Card Swap

YOU wouldn't know it but I have been very busy crafting! I have so many projects that I am starting to feel unorganized. My craft room is full of Zachary's toys mixed in with my toys :) It is a great feeling to be productive but I am struggling with feeling overwhelmed by the resulting mess I created! It's time for me to clean up my mess and post some pictures! I am thrilled to share with you what I have been up to!!

Fall is in the air! Do you feel it to? I think this weekend is the first day of fall-- officially. And, I am loving it! As a family we plan on heading out to do some fall activities. It will be nice to be with my miller boys :) enjoying the fall weather.

This months card swap theme was "ING". Hmmm, you may be saying to yourself. Well, it could be anything active...sewing, cooking, reading, etc. My card was "Gardening"
One of the newest club memebers is an avid cricut user. And, because of her I have been inspired to use my cricut to make cards (see last months card too). This was a fun card to make. And, it was not as easy as I anticipated. But, I love the finished product.

I made a little political statement with my card too... with the "Garden Fresh, buy locally" statement. I thought it fit perfectly with my theme.
