Only 4 days to go until the gala

Yep,  it has been a busy couple of days just getting the last of my things made for the St James gala.  Heres are some of the memory boxes.  And here are a couple of the pocket albums that I have made.   I love these, they just so cute. Here is one that I have partly completed as a sample of  how the album can be used.       Hope to see you there. 

Memory Journal and box

Another week gone.  The weather is not that great at the moment so all the more reason to stay in doors.  The kids seem to pick up anything that is going around and when they are not well they are hard to entertain but with all that I did manage to  complete a couble of things over the past month.  First is a memory box and journal.   The box I made from scratch using cardstock and a very basic template.  1 and 1/2 inches (4cms) sides and the base 1/8th inche (5mm) bigger that the journal that is to be placed inside which for this box was 7 and 1/8th (18.2cms) So in this case, I cut a 10 and 1/8 inche square,  scoring 1and 1/2 inches in on all sides, I then cut a tab in each corner and folder up to make the box base.  The lid is the same construction but I reduced the sides by a1/4 of an inche and added a further 1/8th to the base measure to allow the lid to fit over the top of the box base.    The journal is parcel fol...

Here is another memory box for the gala.  I will make a journal to go inside.  I used the new Julie Nutting Doll stencil for the cover embellishments and SU designer papers to cover.    Watch this space for the journal.

St James Catholic School Gala preparation is underway!

It's that time of the year and the preparations for the St James School 55th Gala are underway.  I am working on Card packs and Memory boxes made from upcycled packing boxes.   Here are my first couple of boxes.   which started life as:  And this Memory box,   Which start life as:   Here are some of the card packs.  I hope to arrange a card making section,  The cards are nice and simply to make so anyone who wants to give it a go can come along.  Details will be in the St James Gala newsletter.

Yes,  Secret Squirrel Papercraft just had their crop and here is one of the off the page projects, inspired by Steph, that I completed.  The base box is from Tattered Angels.     I made the box so it could be stood in a bookshelve.  I will section the inner draw so the boys can place  treasures in their from our travels.
