We spent last weekend in Las Vegas. Although we have been numerous times, we actually saw lots of new things. We got a super great rate at the Wynn, and it was fabulous. And, it was right across the street from lots of fun shopping. What made it really nice is that we got rain for a couple of the days so it was nice and cool (well, cool for us!) Good food, a show, and great company.

I got some awesome news this afternoon. I was asked to join the Moments To Remember Design Team! Let me tell you- I am so excited to join such a friendly and talented group of ladies. Check out their site and message board for all the fun.
Well, I don't think I can go without posting a photo. A few weeks ago, I was intently practicing working in full manual mode on my camera. Took me about 15 minutes just to get anything beyond a blank screen. Here is my favorite from the bunch. Just ducky. Kinda how I feel today!

Mama's got a brand new bag

Whale Tote

I purchased a plain tote bag from Wal Mart (about $2.50.) I then added some red rick rack through the top with a straight stitch. After choosing the fabric (from my MIL, very nice freebie) I ironed on some fusible webbing. Then, I ran it through my Cricut using the Life Is A Beach cartridge. Next, I ironed on the pieces to the bag. I also added some hand stitching with red thread and a red button for the eye. Lastly, with some of the leftover fabric, I trimmed a piece and attached to the handle.
