Scrapping

I have been scrapping again lately but haven't remember to put them here so here are a couple of the latest ones I have done























This one was done for a challenge and we had a sketch to use for inspiration


this in real life one made with paper and elements I am really pleased with, that doesn't happen very often but when it does it give even more satisfaction that my digital ones.

A novel place to keep a pen

While walking in town today, my eye was caught but this person in front of me who had a ball point pen stick through her hair like a hat pin. I wanted to get a photo of it but she was reluctant to let me so instead I have done a rough sketch.
I love finding and recording unusual things and I think this was worthy of remembering.

Only Just Begun

I saw a layout on UKScrappers that really caught my imagination so with the permission to scraplift here is my version. The words of the song by the Carpenters were given to me, I feel, by the Lord as they came out of the blue. These were not the same words as the one I scraplifted.

New Camera

I have treated myself to a new camera today. I wanted one with a better zoom but didn't want to go to a DSLR because that would have meant, not only carrying a heavy camera, but also two extra lenses to get what I wanted, so instead I have gone for a bridge camera a Fuji Finepix S8100 it has a 18x optical zoom so hopefully I will be able to photograph birds easier and a super macro so can get to 1cm of the object

We had the opening of this new scrapbook club today and had an all day crop. I managed to get three layouts done all in real life not digital one so really pleased with what I did

Retail Therapy

It brilliant what a little bit of retail therapy can do as long as you can afford it. Today while in Asda I thought I would just have a look at the clothes and if I could find a nice brown cardigan I would buy it. I not only found the perfect cardigan for me, just does up with a tie in the front, but also a pretty pink top and a dress. I have not been able to find a dress to fit both top and bottom for years but as I have lost some weight this one not only fitted it looks great, or at least I think it does.
I have spent some money, I now need to go through my wardrobe and sort out what I haven't worn for ages or at least will not wear again and give them to a charity

The saddest sight on the high street Woolworth closes after 99 years so so sad that it didn't even make the century

Inspired

I felt inspired by a few words that someone in church prayed today and from that came this little pray in the form of prose.

Refresh me, revive me renew me by your Spirit Lord
Give me a heart that longs to follow You
Give me courage to face each new day and challenge
And to speak Your word into my very soul

I long to give You all the praise You deserve Lord
To honour You in all I say and do
To walk the path that You have set before me
Each and every day throughout this coming year

Scrapping instead of housework

To day I should be doing the tidying up, my scrapping room is so untidy that I can hardly get in there let alone do any scrapping with paper and things, but instead of buckling down to it I have been scrapping on the computer. Perhaps now that I have done this page I will get on with some work but I shouldn't hold your breath.

New Year New beginning

Well I haven't used this blog for a whole year as I had the 365 one going and everything went in there. think I may well reinstate this one, making it a place where I can put my musings and poems and anything else that seems right.
