Girl time mini album

Hello! First of all let me wish you a happy Easter! I hope it'll be a good one and that Easter bunny will bring you some yummy chocolate and maybe some crafty goodies too. ;)

Today I have something else to show you ... Not a card, but a mini album. My friend Mimi also loves making mini albums, so we decided to do a mini album swap. I love her work, so I was really excited about this. I've already received her mini and it's fab. I love it!! And she's already received mine too, so I can post pictures of it here. :)

I've decided to use one of my favourite paper pads for the mini - Prima's Tea Thyme. The papers in that pad are gorgeous. I love the colours and the vintage/shabby chic look. I hope she does as well. Since we agreed to do a girly mini album I used a lot of flowers, lace and ribbons (most of them are from Crafty ribbons) in this album. Oh, and quite some butterflies too. You know I love those and making a girly album was a perfect excuse to use a lot of them. ;)

I took pictures of the pages in the mini, but not pages of the tags and all the pockets. But I also make a video and there you can see all the pockets and tags too. I will post the video in the bottom of this post.

Anyways, enough babbling. I'll just show you the pictures.

This is how the cover looks like. As you can see, I used big flower and of course a butterfly for the cover. So typical me! lol I made the flower myself and the butterfly came from my stash. I used stickers for the title.

And now let me show you the inside pages ... You'll see that I used a lot of different embellishments from lots of different brands. I mentioned most of them in the video, so if you want to know what I used, please check that. But if you still have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer. :) I also did quite some stamping (I used stamps from Stampabilities, Recollections, Graphic 45, Close to my heart and Viva decor) - mainly on tags.

Phew, that was a lot of photos. I hope you liked them!

And here's the video ...

I would like to enter my album to the following challenges:
Craft room challenge: In the garden - anything but a card (I used lots of flowers and butterflies and they can be found in the garden - I hope this counts; if not, feel free to delete my entry)
Bunny Zoe's crafts: Girly
Tuesday throwdown: Make something dimensional
Simon says stamp: Anything goes
Deep ocean: Photo inspiration (I chose flowers as inspiration - I used A LOT of those in my album)
Bearly mine: Girly pink
Pause dream enjoy: Anything goes
Sweet stampin': Girly (I used quite a lot of rubber stamps in this album - I stamped on each tag (best seen in the video) and also in some pages in this album)
Dream valley: Pearls and lace
Stampin for the weekend: Anything but a card (I used quite a lot of rubber stamps in this album - I stamped on each tag (best seen in the video) and also in some pages in this album)
Craft-alnica: Vintage

That's all from me today. Enjoy your weekend!
Hugs! xx

Easter blog hop at Crafty ribbons

Good morning people! What's the weather over there? I really hope you have more sun and warmer days than we do here. We got more snow (again! :S) at the beginning of the week and the temperatures are really low too. So much for spring! :S If only Easter would be nice and sunny ... But it doesn't look like that will happen. The weathermen said we'll be getting rain, rain and more rain over the weekend and for Easter. *sigh*

To shoo the thoughts of winter away and to brighten your day a bit, we are having an Easter blog hop at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog with a lot of fabby prizes and wonderful springy/Easter projects by DT. Trust me, you really want to participate in this hop. ;)

But before I show you what I made for the hop, I also want to remind you today also started a new challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog and it's a VERY easy one - the theme is "anything goes with ribbon". I hope you will come and play with us. :) For the challenge winner we have this great prize ...

Now, let me show you the card I made for the blog hop ...

I used a lovely stamp from Viva decor as my main image. I colored it with Promarkers and then I also added some Rayher glitter glue on it. The butterflies are cut from Artsy collage Nature collage kit and I added some glitters on their wings too. The blue paper I used on this card is from the same kit as well. The pink paper is from my stash and the brown paper is a recycled wrapping paper which I embossed with Cart us flower embossing folder. The pearls are from my stash. The circle and scalloped circle are made with my Spellbinders dies. I also used my border punch. Pearls are from my stash and ribbons are from Crafty ribbons. Unfortunately both ribbons I used on this card are currently out of stock (no wonder, because they are gorgeous!), but you might find the yellow one in Bev's bag and the flowery one could be in the jam pots.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Sweet stampin': Lots of layers
Crafty boots: Flowers
Pin and tack: Anything goes
I love Promarkers: Spring is in the air
Paper crafting journey: Ribbon or lace
Inky impressions: Easter or spring
House of Gilli: Anything goes with flowers and/or ribbon
My mum's craft shop: Spring has sprung

Now onto the rules of the hop ...

The rules are really simple ... You start at the Crafty ribbons inspiration blog. There you will find the list of all  blogs that are participating in the hop (we have some very talented ladies from LOTV joining the hop too - how exciting is the?!) and you will need to stop by their blogs too. At each blog (including the inspiration blog) you will find one word. You need to collect all the words and then make a sentence with them. Once you make the sentence, you should leave it in a comment at the inspiration blog. And if you get lost along the way, just hop back to the inspiration blog and check the list. All of you who will collect all the words and leave the right answer/sentence at the inspiration blog will go into the draw for two wonderful prizes ...

One person will win a whole bunch of gorgeous ribbons from Crafty ribbons.

And the other person will win a £20 voucher for the LOTV store.

But wait, that's not all!!! Each DT member will have a yummy ribbon candy for you too! Here's what you can win at my blog ...

I hope you like these ribbons. If you want to win them you just need to add your name with Mr. Linky and leave a comment on this post. It can't get any easier than this, can it? ;) I will post the winner here on April 3.

You should have arrived here from Carol's blog. If you haven't, go back to the inspiration blog. I'm sure you don't want to miss any stop. ;) Before I go, I should tell you what word is "hidden here". ;)

My word is BEAUTIFUL.

Now hop over to Tessa and Anke's blog to see what they created for the hop, to get the next word and to see what yummy candy they have for you. ;)

Hugs! xx

A card for a baby boy

Hey there! It's a midway reminder of the current challenge that's going on at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. The theme of the current challenge was chosen by Marianne and I have to admit I had quite some problems with it. She chose "one for the boys" as a theme and I am really not all that great at making boys cards/projects. So this was a tough one for me. At the end I decided to make a card for a baby boy. Many of my friends are having or are expecting babies right now and they are all (going to be) boys! So I better stock on baby cards. ;)

Here's how my turned out ...

I'm quite happy with the result. I used my leftover scraps of paper. The blue ones are from Provo craft, the brown is a piece of recycled wrapping paper and the white one is just a white cardstock which I embossed with Cotage floral embossing folder. The doily, confetti and gems are from my stash. The image is a Viva decor clear stamp. I colored it with Faber Castell pencils and added some Stickles on it. The buttons and ribbons are from Crafty ribbons - I used khaki grosgrain ribbon, light blue dotty baby ribbon and knit buttons.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges:
Creative card crew: Masculine
One crazy stamper: Anything goes
Mojo Monday: Sketch
Really reasonable ribbon: Flowers and ribbon (I used flower confetti and there are some flowers in the image too)
Tuesday alchemy: Anything goes
Bizzy Becs: Anything goes

Touch of spring

Would you believe we had snow this week again? Snow! After we had quite some warm and sunny days last week and we got fully ready for spring. Most of the snow is already gone by now though. I hope this was the last snow we got this winter. I've had enough of it til November or December.

And since I'm all in the mood for spring, I made a spring card which I will show you in a moment. But before I do so, I would like to tell you about a new blog in the Blogland. My super talented and super sweet friend started blogging in February and it would be awesome if you could stop by her blog and show her some love. :) Her creations are amazing and I know she would be over the moon if you would leave a comment on any of her posts or (if you like her work - which I have no doubt you will!) even become a follower of her blog

So, now on to the card I was telling you about ...

These flowers are from a Viva Decor stamp set. I've had these stamps for quite a while, but haven't used them before. To be honest, I even forgot I had them. *ooops* Shame on me. But I will use them more often now that I "rediscovered" them. ;) I colored the image with Promarkers and then I added some glitter glue on them. The butterfly and square are Marianne designs dies. I embossed the butterfly with Cottage floral embossing folder. The papers were all leftover pieces. The pink one is from Provo Craft and for the rest I have no idea where they are from, I'm sorry. The tiny crystal flowers, twine and string of gold crystals are from my stash.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Dies to die for: Flower power
Dream valley: Mother's day
Incy Wincy designs: Things that begin with F (flowers)

Enjoy your weekend! Hugs! xx

Good morning! Here's the card I made for the midway challenge reminder at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. The theme is "Anything goes with ribbon". I'm sure you all use ribbon on your creations so why not link them up? You have a chance to win this fab prize ...

And here's the card I made for this challenge ...

As you can see, I used a lot of flowers on it. :) The small roses are from Rayher and I made the big flower myself. Oh, and those yellos flowers are a TH die. Behind the big flower I used a Sizzix swirl die (a friend of mine was kind enough to let me borrow her die so I could cut out a few of those - I stocked up lol). The circle and scalloped circle are Spellbinders dies and the leaves behind the roses are ... Hmmm ... I have no idea. I just got a few of those cut out as a part of candy that I won a while back. The butterflies were made with my craft punch. The tiny dots on the scalloped wircle were made with Viva decor pearl pen and the tiny dots on the butterflies were made with my white gel pen. The sentiment is a Cloud 9 design stamp. Papers are from my stash (I just used some leftover pieces). Of course I also used a ribbon on my card.. ;) I used this gorgeous Love chocolate (dark chocolate) satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Creative card crew: Use ribbon
Crafty creations: Show us some green

We've had very beautiful and sunny last couple of days. I hope you did too! Looks like the spring is finally on the way.

Today I want to show you a card that I made for one friend that is celebrating her birthday later this month.

I used the adorable Tilda with big tulips stamp for my main image. I colored her with Promarkers. On the tulips I also used gloss gel from Viva decor. Hopefully you can see it in this picture.

Around the image I stamped with Kaisercraft postmarks stamp. For my card I used the lovely pastel papers from Provo Craft. Doily and lace are from my stash. I also used 2 different ribbons from Crafty ribbons. I used white french rose ribbon and sunshine seam binding ribbon. I also used 2 Spellbinders dies, a butterfly punch and a border punch.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges:

In memorium - a card for a very special person

Whoever said number 13 is unlucky couldn't be more right. I am not a supersticious person, but so much bad stuff happened in last month that I am begining to think there's acrually something real about the "unlucky 13". Or maybe it's just February, I don't know. What happened ... First my sweetie's dad had to go to the hospital because he has heart problems. Then I found out that my grandpa has cancer. The doctors cut it out, but they don't know if they got everything. And as if this wasn't enough, on 28 February (in the evening) my relative passed away - he had a stroke. He wasn't very young anymore, but this was still a shock. He lived in another country so we didn't get to meet very often, but we did stay in touch through internet. I was feeling really down yesterday. :( I had to keep myself occupied with other stuff because otherwise I could cry the whole day, so I decided to do some crafting. Crafting is like a therapy for me. For a couple of moments I can get away to the world of papers, colours ... The card I am about to show you is a result. I was going to make a sympathy card or a card with pastels, but I couldn't. I needed some positive energy, something bright. And when I thought about this (something positive and bright) the colours yellow and red came to my mind. Those of you who have been following my blog for a while, that bright red and bright yellow aren't really the colours I'd use on my cards/projects. At least not together. But this card is made with these colours ...

It's a happy card. Happy, because I know my relative is in a better place now and I know he wouldn't want me (or anybody else) to be sad about his death. He believed in enjoying life to the fullest. And he did well! I think he would like this card. He would prefer something bright and happy to something grey and sad. So I am dedicating it to him. As a celebration as his "rebirth". May he enjoy his life in heaven!

For this card I used yellow cardstock and three different papers from Provo Craft. For the main image I used the cute Rosie Posy stamp from LOTV and colored it with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. The pearls are from my stash. I also used 2 different ribbons - red satin ribbon and daffodil twill tape. They are both from Crafty ribbons. The corners, circle and scalloped circle are Spellbinders dies. The tiny butterflies are "leftovers" from the border punch that I used on my card. I made a banner myself (I just cut some triangles from different papers). The tiny flowers I used on the banner are made with my craft punch.

I think this card also fits the following challenges:
LOTV - Ideas to inspire: Birthday card
Designed to color: Tic Tac Toe (ribbon, banner, yellow)
Natalie and Amy: Diecuts
Scrap it girl: Recipe (1 stamped image, 2 punches and 3 designer papers)
Crafts and me: Dies or punches
