Grrrr .... I'm late with this post. :S I just noticed Blogger never pubished the post I had scheduled for yesterday. As you know, Thursdays are the days when the new challenge goes live at Crafty ribbons, but since I was away the whole day yesterday (I only got home in the evening), I scheduled the challenge post. Yesterday I forgot to check if it went live, but today I noticed it didn't. :S I'm very sorry about this.
Anyways, I want to tell you that the new challenge is "anything but square" and you have 14 days to enter your creations. I made something for this challenge too, but I will only show you next week for the mid-challenge reminder. ;)
Oh, and we have a great prize for you too. You know I love dotty thingies, don't you? I hope you do as well. Because the lucky winner of this challenge will win these gorgeous dotty ribbons from Crafty ribbons.
I hope you'll come and play with us. :)
Hugs! xx

Just a simple card
Good morning! How are you? Are you ready for fall? I am not. This is definitely not my favourite time of the year. The days are way too gray and it's raining a lot. :S I do like to see how the leaves are changing their colour though.
Today I want to show you a very simple card that I made.
I just love this Studio Light design paper and didn't want to cover it too much, so that's the reason this card doesn't have a lot of embellishments etc. I received this cute stamped image from my sweet friend and I thought it would go perfectly with this paper. I colored the Tilda with Promarkers. The flowers were made with TH Tattered florals die and with my craft punch and in the middle I made pearls with my pearl pen. The butterflies are made with my craft punch too and I used my white gel pen for the dots. All the ribbons are from Crafty ribbons. I experimented with the corners a little bit. I only have a Spellbinders corner die and even though I like it, it's sometimes too big for my projects. So I used my Fiskars corner punch and took a square piece of red cardstock and punched, so the corners got a nice look. And then I used those as the corners of my card. I hope you know what I mean. lol
Enjoy the rest of the week! Hugs! xx
I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Stampin' for the weekend: Feeling floral
Card and scrap: Use flowers
Heck of a challenge: Anything goes

Vintage challenge - midway reminder
Hello! For a change we have a nice sunny day here again. I love it! But it's still getting cold - we are only having around 20 degrees Celsius here. And last week I was still running around in a t-shirt. Quick change, don't you think so?
We are in the middle of a challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog and if you haven't already, we would love it if you came and played with us. The theme of our challenge is "vintage". The DT is now split into 2 groups/teams - one team will post their cards when the challenge goes live and the other group will post their cards in the midway reminder. I'm in the second group. :) So here's the card I made for this challenge ...
This is another card where I didn't use and DPs, just dark red and white cardstock. :) I stamped over the white cardstock with different snowflake stamps from Studio G, Stampabilities and Recollections, with Faded text background stamp from Stampabilities and border stamps from Hobbycraft. One one piece (behind the sentiment) of the white cardstock I also used snowflake embossing folder and inked the snowflake with my gold(ish) ink pad. The main image is a gorgeous vintage stamp from Recollections. I embossed it with Queen's gold embossing powder from Ranger. The big snowflake is a Marianne design die and the small snowflakes are made with my craft punch. In the center of the snowflakes I added crystals from my stash. The corner is a Spellbinders die. I also used a white doily, which I inked with my ink pad to give it a bit more vintage look. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and you can find it here.
I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Simon says stamp: Emboss it
Christmas crafting: Traditional Christmas colours (I used gold and red)
Lothian crafts: Use Marianne design dies (I used Marianne design snowflake die)
Stamp and create: Anything goes
CLP challenge: Sketch
Mark's finest papers a Heinrich company: Favourite technique (I am currently addicted to embossing and I just loooooove stamping too - in case you couldn't tell lol)

Christmas angel
Hello! How are you? Good, I hope. :) I know It's only September, but I'm already in a Christmas mood. Crazy, I know. lol The other day I have already bought a few bits for Christmas gifting and I've been making (mainly) Christmas cards for at least a month now. Can you tell that Christmas is my favourite time of the year? lol
Today I want to show you one of the Christmas cards I made. I went for a bit untraditional colours and I really like it.
I used the beautiful angel image from LOTV and the gorgeous vintage Merry Christmas stamp from Recollections. I *think* the DPs were a freebie in one magazine last year (or maybe 2 years ago?). I colored the image with Promarkers. On the angel's wings I added diamond Stickles and on the angel's head wreath I also used Viva decor pearl pen. Around the image I stamped with snowflake stamps from Stampabilities and G Studio. The big snowflakes are Marianne Design dies and the small snowflakes are made with my craft punch. In the center of each snowflake I added a crystal from my stash. The lace I used on my card is from my stash as well. The white ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and the purple ribbon is from CropStop. To cut out the ovals I used Spellbinders' dies.
So much from me today. I wish you a wonderful day! Hugs! xx
I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland: Lilac and lace
Lili's little fairies: Bingo (I chose first vertical line; I used pearls - liquid pearls on the wreath, lace and glitters - Stickles on the wings)
Cute card Thursday: Christmas in September
Lothian crafts: Use Marianne design dies
Allsorts: Purple passion
Love to create: Things with wings
Going buggy: Christmas cards in non tradional colours
Milk and coffee: 2 different shapes (I used snowflakes and ovals)
Marainne's design divas: Stamp something
Stampin' for the weekend: Starting Christmas early
Fashionista challenge: Christmas
Live and love crafts: Lovely lace and/or terrific trim

Vintage
Phew, how fast time flies, doesn't it? Can you believe we are already in the middle of September?! Christmas will be here before we know it. Not that I'm complaining though, because I love Christmas. ;) And this year I am even a little bit more organized - I started making Christmas cards early. And today I'm going to show you one of them. It's the one that I made for the new challenge at Crafty ribbons blog. Our theme this forthnight is vintage, so I created a vintage Christmas card.
What do you think? Do you like it? I didn't use any DPs on this card, I created them myself. :P For the background I used white cardstock over which I stamped with various snowflake stamps - from Recollections, Stampabilities and G studio. And for the center piece of paper I used a white cardstock over which I stamped with Stampabilities Faded text background stamp. For the main image I used the gorgeous Christmas tree stamp from Recollections and I embossed it with Queen's gold embossing powder from Ranger. Around the image I stamped with snowflake stamps. In the corners of he image I used small gold stars and on them I glued small crystals. I used ribbons from Crafty ribbons.
Oh right, before I go I need to tell you what is the prize for the winner of this challenge. Ali and Tony are generously giving the lucky winner the fabby vintage rose ribbon. Isn't it beautiful?!
I hope you'll join our vintage challenge. Hugs! xx

Thank you
Yuck, what a terrible day. I had a tough day at work and also the weather outside is horrible - rain, rain and more rain. :S Summer really is gone and the autumn came.
Today I want to show you a thank you card that I made for one lady. I hope she will like it. One thing is for sure, I definitely need more practice with coloring, but hopefully one day I will learn. *sigh*
I kept the design very simple. I used the cute Marci from La La Land Crafts and colored her with Promarkers. On her neclace and on the flower I added diamond Stickles. The sentiment is a Fiskars stamp. I also used my border punch, my butterfly punch and Spellbinders dies. The pink and the purple ribbon are from Crafty ribbons.
Speaking about Crafty ribbons ... Did you know that you can win some of their gorgeous new Christmas ribbons simply by leaving a comment on their blog? Yes, it really is as easy and that. :) I'm sure you will want to check their blog out, because I've seen the new ribbons and let me tell you, they are GORGEOUS! They are adding new Christmas ribbons in the store all the time, so be sure to check back often. And they released their first digi image too to match the ribbons and also some digi papers. So many great new stuff!

Yumi and Fumi: Use a sentiment

Out of my comfort zone
Hello! How are you all? I'm fine. It was my first "real" day back at work after summer holidays and it wasn't too bad. Surprisingly I didn't even have problems getting up in the morning. Who would have thought?! O.o
Today I want to show you the card I made over the weekend. I chose colours that I wouldn't normally choose. I mean, I used black! And bright green. Definitely not the colours you would see on my cards often. I combined these colours with pastel yellow. And I was surprised that I actually liked this colour combination. I didn't use any DP not any cute images on my card. Strange, huh? I did use my favourite quote stamp though. Are you curious how this card turned out? Ok then, let me show it to you. Tadaaam!
As I said, I didn't use any dp. For my background I just used a pastel yellow paper, over which I stamped with Stampabilities' Faded text background stamp. And the yellow paper on the left is embossed with Cuttlebug Fleur de lis embossing folder. I also used my border punch and some ribbon from my stash. And the stamp is from Cloud 9 design.
I hope you like my today's card and that it'll inspire you to do/try something you don't usually do on your craft projects.
I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Simon says stamp: Anything goes
My heart pieces: Layers, layers and layers
Unique crafters: Anything goes
Simon says stamp and show: Read all about it
Oh, and before I leave, I have to do one more thing ... I have to announce the winner of my candy. Well, I left Mr. Random do his thing and he chose number 29.
Sassy, that's you. Congrats! :D Please send me an email before Saturday to claim your prize. If I don't hear from you by then, the candy will go to someone else. To all of you who didn't win now, don't be sad, there will be other chances for you to win some goodies on my blog. ;)
There were originally 31 entries for the blog candy, but one person didn't follow the rules so that link was removed.
So much from me today. I wish you all a wonderful week!
Hugs! xx

Candy, candy, candy
THIS POST IS GOING TO STAY ON TOP TIL SEPTEMBER 2. FOR NEWER POSTS PLEASE SCROLL DOWN.
Oooops, I was going to post this a couple of days ago I was busy and couldn't get around to do it. It was my favourite's man (aka my boyfriend's) birthday a couple of days ago and I wanted to offer some candy on this special day. He really liked the idea of me offering some goodies to you and he even helped me choose them. :D So, here's what you can win ...
So, now to the part we all hate - the rules. I know, I know, the boring stuff, but unfortunately there has to be some. Here's what you need to do to have the chance to win these thingies ...
1. Post this picture on the sidebar of your blog and link back to this post.
2. Leave your name with Mr. Linky.
While I'd love, love, love you to also be a follower of my blog, it's not compuslory to win this candy, because I really hate it when people sign up for the candy and then disappear once the candy is over. So just follow me if you like my creations.
This candy will run til September 1 and I will announce the winner a day or two after. NO candy only blogs and only one entry per person! Candy is open to everybody, anywhere in the world.
GOOD LUCK! :)
