What's Brewing?

Here is one more coffee themed card for the 2019 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  This card features four stamps from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.  The Coffee and the Café images were heat embossed in white on brown cardstock and cut out.  The What's Brewing was stamped on kraft cardstock.

These were all layered on some special coffee paper that my friend shared with me from this special pad of paper she had.

I stamped the Water Ring on it in brown and added a variety of brown layers.

I’ll be back Monday with a new card.

Coffee Cafe

I was finally released from home health care after having knee surgery so I spent the weekend with my friends making cards.  With the start of the 2019 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, I of course focused on a coffee themed card.

This card uses the Café image from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.  This was colored with Tombow markers and layered on sunset colored cardstock and dark blue.

This small scenic die cut was added to the corner, along with the die cut Coffee word.

Here's to a great weekend and a fun hop.

Beach and Coffee

Happy Memorial Day.  So many families are spending this long weekend at the beach so I thought I would create a card with a beach theme.  It is also time for the 2018 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop so I mixed it up with a coffee theme, too.  Coffee is a vital part of my relaxing weekend.

I used the Coffee Background from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps.  It was inked with various Distress Inks to coordinate with the colors I planned to use for the sunset.  This was stamped first and then the same colors were sponged on top.  Darker blue and brown were sponged around the edges.

JFF's Adirondack Sunset image was stamped in brown twice.  The first image was sponged with Distress Inks to coordinate with the Coffee background.  On the second image the sun was sponged with Distress Ink and the chair was colored with Copic Markers.  These were both fussy cut and layered onto the inked image.

Using dark brown Memento Ink, the “May your day be filled...” sentiment from JFF was stamped on a white rectangle.  Distress Inks were sponged over and around it.  It was layered on blue, along with the Adirondack Sunset Image and then layered on top of the Coffee Background.  A small Sizzix coffee cup was die cut, sponged with ink, and added with fiber.

Have a wonderful week.

Tea Is On...

Winter arrived this weekend in the southeast.  It snowed off and on for two days by me - those big, fluffy flakes floating straight down and settling on everything.  It left a beautiful winter wonderland that I enjoyed from my den, bundled up under blankets sipping hot tea.

The background for the card I am sharing uses different cardstock from Authentique’s Alpine collection.  The “Afternoon Tea” Die’sire die from Crafters Companion was cut from two different cardstocks, cut apart, and layered together.  This was added to a strip of cream cardstock on top of the wintery decorative background piece.

I love this Just For Fun sentiment, Tea pot is on...  I had planned to stamp it directly on the background but it got a little lost in all the design so I ended up stamping it on cream cardstock.

I didn’t get to share my tea with friends this weekend, since I was actually running a temperature, but I hope we all remember to make time for those that are dear to us during this busy holiday season.  Maybe spend time sipping tea and stamping cards!

Love You Latte

Today I am sharing a coffee themed window card.  It combines layers of cream, kraft, brown, and black with design from dies and an embossing folder.

The Water Ring, from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps, was stamped with Tea Dye Distress Ink on cream cardstock.  This was used in the background of the card window and also for the sentiment.

The JFF sentiment, A Latte, was stamped with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, and layered on brown cardstock.  Small coffee themed dies were cut from the brown cs and added to the window and card front, along with some sequins.

Since the theme for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is summer, I thought I needed to add something more so I did a revised version just for the hop.  I  die cut these flowers, sponged them with some Tea Die Ink, and layered them along the bottom.

This is a great card to give to any of your coffee loving friends.

The Tea Pot Is On

I have been making several coffee and tea themed projects this week and wanted to share this sweet card.

I am a coffee drinker but one of my best friend’s only drinks tea.  When I saw the “Tea pot is on”...sentiment, from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps, it reminded me of her and inspired this card.  It was stamped with Paris Dusk Memento Ink and layered on white using a Martha Stewart Border Punch on the sides.

The tea cup from JFF's Coffee Unmounted Sheet was also stamped with Paris Dusk Memento Ink on two different cardstocks.  These were fussy cut and paper pieced.  This was centered on a white doily, die cut with Marianne Design Creatables Designer Doily die.  Several small flowers, die cut with Sue Wilson's Camellia Open die, were added along with jewels.

When your week gets crazy, sit and have a cup of tea, hopefully with a friend.
