CQJP 2016 Challenge Rules

CQJP2016 Challenge Rules
The CQJP is about promoting the art of crazy quilting and expanding the participant’s individual artistic creativity and technical knowledge. So, the rules are simple:
--  Registration will start 13 November 2015 and end 20 December 2015. This will give us time to get everything organized before the start of 2016, and give a long open window for registration...so please share the information on your own blog, facebook page, etc.
--   Project Planning and Block Construction can begin before January 2016; but NOT earlier than September 2015 to be considered a valid CQJP 2016 Project. We are no longer accepting any projects created in past years. The Challenge has run for multiple years now; and it’s time to promote only new work.

(To clarify this rule: It IS okay to have pieced blocks ready, having been sewn at ANY time in the past, that have NOT YET been embellished. The embellishment work should have taken place AFTER August 2015 to fit the intent of this rule. It is NOT okay to take photos of embellished blocks that were completed BEFORE September 2015, and then submit that as your challenge for 2016.)
-- Construct and complete a crazy quilt block each month (January through December) in 2016.

-- This year ANY SIZE and ANY SHAPE is fine. No restrictions!...which is different than past years. So, encourage you to create larger final projects.
-- Blocks can include any type of fabric(s) and as many different fabrics as you desire.
-- Blocks can include any form of embellishment you desire.
--  Blocks should challenge your individual skills. Work to expand your artistic views and improve your technical skills.
-- Please do not downsize your photos before sending. It is not necessary as we have plenty of space for them. We may crop some of the “extra” parts of the photo out that surround your block before posting.
--  All participants are encouraged to comment on others photos. We all need encouragement! All comments are moderated and will not post immediately; this is due to spammers that submit bogus comments so that they can push a personal issue.
--  All photos will be reviewed and possibly cropped or resized before posting
-- We reserve the right to publish or not publish any photograph.
-- All questions about the Crazy Quilt Journal Project 2016 should be sent to cqjpchallenge@yahoo.com and Kathy or Marci will reply to you when received.
