water ... colors

as it's Saint Patrick's Day today, let me share a little watercolor I had made last summer & which seems appropriate for the day ...

Four leaves clovers // close up

yes, that day, my FIL had found several four leaf clovers ! We had pressed them & we have one, right here at home, and it resides with other nature treasures we found, you name them, fossils.

on March 07th (the day it snowed, remember), we were at my inlaws', and it was cold. That hadn't stopped me & I had been out in their garden for an hour, my watercolors in hand. And I painted succulents.

then I came back inside (brrrr ! too cold, ahah !) and was inspired by the silver wattle, and started another painting. I finished both paintings today, to my own delight. (that's the only crafty thing I've managed to make today - not that bad, you'll say -)

I was happy with the results, I'm loving more & more painting with watercolors, without thinking too much about what I'm doing.

must go, time's flown today, it's already 06.40pm. I hope you're having / had a good middle of the week.

  1. How pretty, I love your watercolors Sonia. I like the subtitle for the mimosa too. Our Southern mimosa has beautiful pink flowers but the leaves look alike the one you painted. I love it all, text & no text & everything else. Hugs

  2. Your watercolor art is beautiful. You should go make them into blank greeting/post cards and sell them on your shop!
