Sweet Sunday Challenge 37
Today is Sunday and after all the things I must do, I try to find a little bit time for things I like to do. In week-ends when I do not get to find that few hours to do what I love, I feel like I had no weed-end at all. Luckily, although not much, I squeezed in an hour of so to sit and create. I decided to participate in the Sweet Sunday
Sketch challenged hosted by http://kgiron.blogspot.com/. I found that challenges gives me a way to learn and practice and share with talented, experienced designers. I may not have time to participate in many challenges but Sundays can be Sweet Sundays for me.

PPA 9 Golden Fall
This week PPA 9 is inspired in the colors of Autumn. Although here in Puerto Rico we have green all year long, I remember a visit I made to Washington, DC in a work trip with my husband. It was on November and all the trees were painted with nature's brush strokes of orange, burnt yellow, olive green and caramel. It was a beautiful sight that I still remember with pleasure. I hope I can be back there shortly but in the meantime I am re-creating those memories with my card Golden Fall. I used Soft Suede cardstock for the card base (115719), retired Stampin'Up Autumn Vine DPS a retired Stampin' Up set "Spring Party" (colored with the colors of fall), I used the Modern Label Punch (116630) with the sentiment "Pensando en ti" from "Deseos pequenitos" (116841) also available in English. I colored the leaves of the tree with Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry markers and then put a dot metallic stickles over the color.

Mojo Monday 105 Love and Affection
Another Monday and another Mojo Monday Sketch! Today I spent some time viewing the postings for this challenge and I was amazed with all the talent out there. I wanted to make a pretty and happy card. I think I could accomplish just that. The paper is pretty by itself and the sketch is ideal for what I had in mind. I used a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin' Up. No stamping here. It was very fast and easy to make. I am amazed by the versatility and ease of use of these Simply Scrappin' kits. You can make fast and easy scrapbook pages, a lot of cards, paper crafts, you can even wrap your gifts and combine the card with the wrapping for a very fancy look. When you have no time at all and need a pretty card or gift, the work is already done for you.

Sweet Sunday Challenge
Today I was making some more Christmas cards from my Simple Scrappin' set Christmas Jingle. There are so many combinations and so many designs that you can make! I have enough supplies for two or three more Christmas, LOL. In my break and while bloggin' around I found a new challenge to participate on. As some of you already know I do not have a group to share my love for stamping. I have never been in a workshop or a SAS or a class. All what I have learn I've done it looking, reading and imitating, then of course, you try to do more original things but the challenges have helped me a lot in getting inspiration to try new things. I found the blog http://kgiron.blogspot.com and her Sweet Sunday Challenge. So, I took her sketch to make another Christmas card. I used textured Brown Cardstock for the based, the embossed image of Dasher, a retired "wish" Stamp and two pieces of the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' set (this set is endless, I love it!). Thanks Karen for the opportunity to participate and share what I love from afar.

Kiss Challenge
Welcome back to my blog. This week I played along again with my Pals Paper Art. The challenge: Keep It Simple Sweetie! It is incredible the amount of talent out there. I liked all the participations to up to date and I went to each blog to watch them. I tried several times to make my KISS card but I realized I am loosing my KISS ability! In this era of widgets and gadgets doing simple designs using few layers and embelishments is a real challenge for me. I have tons and tons of dies, card stock, stamps, papers, ribbons and everything out there. I think I am in a way addicted to stamping, really. I think I am not the only one...what do you think? LOL. I remember the day I used only a stamp in a single layer of card stock to do my cards and I liked them. I was determined to do a single layer card and after a lot of trying I came with this pretty simple card. I used the base of my card a plain whisper white cardstock from Stampin' Up, a stamp from the retired Stampin'Up set: "What could be better", a sentiment of the Stampin'Up set "Deseos Pequenitos" also available in English,a piece of ribbon in Crushed Curry and 3 three brads. What could be better? This time I surely Kept it simple sweetie!

PPA7 Sketch Challenge
My Orlando vacation is over now and I am back to real life. Although I spent a very fun week with my dear husband, I was already missing being home with my daughter and pets. I also missed my crafts! I came back yesterday's night and today's morning I was storing my new supplies, the ones I bought in Florida and the BIG BOX that came in the mail from Stampin'Up while I was out! I bought supplies to begin making my Christmas cards for this year so I thought I could begin with the first one with the PPA7 sketch challenge. No stamping in this one. I used the new Embossing Folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog, Beautiful! I also used several pieces of the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' kit. The card was very easy to make and it look really pretty. The card base is textured Real Red and the mat for the snowflakes is Old Olive.

From Orlando, Florida
Hi friends! I am in Orlando, Florida for my vacations. I always enjoy being here and going to the parks and shopping in crafts stores!! I do not have any craft store where I live in Aibonito, PR. But here, I have gone already to a number of stores and have bought a lot of things!! Certainly Stampin'up has a lot of variety and good prices, in top of that I have my demonstrator discount so now I think to buy twice before buying in stores. Anyway, I bought some Cuttlebug folders and jewelry making supplies. Woo! I can't wait to do things with my new toys.
Today I went to Sea World. I love that park. It is shady and with a lot of flowers, plants, trees and all kind of ocean animals. They have a new attraction called Manta. Is a roller coaster that resembles a Manta Ray. http://www.ridetheflyingray.com/manta/
We went two times and the second time around we went in the front row. Wow! That is flying!! The ride is not for the faint of heart...but is not that scary, REALLY. I miss posting my cards but as soon as I go back I will doing as usual. See you soon!!

PPA Color Challenge
Hello friends!! I am making my suitcase to go to my well deserved vacations in Orlando, Florida. I really need a rest. Anyway I wanted to play with the pals because next week I will not be able to post until I come back to Puerto Rico. I looked to see if I had the cardstock colors for the challenge and found a little bit of each. It shows. Some Ruby Red, Brocade Blue and Crushed Curry. I did not use a lot of colored cardstock but I think I ended with a cute Clean and Simple Card!! I like it, do you?
