Thankful!

After a great lesson from Emmy on being thankful. She took us on a "Thankful Hunt", using our 5 senses to find things we are thankful for. After our lesson Steve had the activity were we made a family Thankful Tree. It was a fun activity! I hope it helps the kids realize all that we have to be thankful for!

We definitely have a lot to be thankful for!

So proud of their Thankful Tree

Goose posing and begging for me to take her picture, and with that cute face how could I resist!

Just Plain Crazy!

Crazy kids on Crazy Hair Day!
Although we love participating in spirit week and crazy hair day, my kids play it pretty safe when it comes to the craziness!
Even with their crazy hair I still think they are pretty cute!

Preschool? What?

Steve started preschool today! Although I know she will love it, I can't help but getting a little teary eyed! It just goes by way to fast! I was teasing her this morning saying "you don't really want to go do you? you want to stay and play with Mom forever" She giggled and said "I promise I will be on my best behavior!" She has been giggling and prancing around all morning so full of anticipation! Not even a nervous bone in her body! I just hope the world is ready for Haydenn cause she has big plans of conquering it!
Haydenn (who still insists we all call her Steve) 1st day of school!
Such a big girl, all ready for school!
So grown up, when did this happen, I feel like I blinked and now she is 4!
 Love this face!
Our house is going to be A LOT quieter with this little one gone, even if it is just for a couple of hours!
You just can't help but smile when you see this face!
I love you Steve and hope you have a great year at preschool!

"My princess"

Breckynn has recently discovered a tutu I made for her for one of my brothers weddings. She LOVES it! She call it her "princess"! She wears it all day, everyday!

We can't even get it off of her to go to sleep! Silly girl!

I have to sneak in after she's asleep and pull it off!

Thank Goodness for Washable!

While Breckynn was quietly taking her nap, me and the other kids were out back playing and visiting with our neighbors. I sent one of the kids in to make sure Breckynn was still napping, this is what they found instead.

Not only was she awake but it looks like she has some fun with the markers.
And even spilt a little something down the front of her dress.
oh no! I got caught! When I pointed to her leg and asked her "what is that?". She said, "a circle". So apparently if your drawing circles its ok to color on yourself :)
This is her saying "sawee". It's a good thing your cute, otherwise we would have just had to throw you a way! Thank goodness Mom for saw this type of thing happening and bought washable markers. As soon as we put her in the bath every thing just came right off.

Washing, Feeding, Clipping, and Sheering

Apache County fair!
After 10 years of anxiously waiting we finally have a child old enough to show animals at the county fair! It's a little sentimental for Josh and I, we both showed at these same fair grounds and is where we first became good friends!  For her first year Emmy showed a steer named Licorice and a lamb named Chip. For the whole week we live at the fair, while hours and hours are spent getting the animals ready for show.
Josh took a lot of grief for having a lamb at the fair! The Wilkins boys did steers and wouldn't be caught dead with a lamb! But little girls melt their Dads heart!
Josh teaching Emmy how to do it herself.
 Go Emmy Go! Great job!
Great place to take some cute pictures and she was a willing participant!
When we told her it was straw, she of course thought it was a drinking straw instead of hay straw. Didn't taste so good!
 Cutie!
Emmy showing Licorice! Doing great Emmy!
I love that you can't even see her over her steer. Littlest girl with one of the biggest steers! Go gettem Em!
Emmy did a great job and got a blue ribbon in her class!
Trying to get a good picture but Licorice is just to tired to cooperate!
 Emmy showing her lamb, Chip!
Another blue ribbon. That's my girl!

Right after the auction. Emmy was a little sad to say goodbye!
Thank you to all those who came out to support us and the 4-H program! So excited for next year!
