Good Morning Faithful Followers

 Good morning faithful followers!

It's the end of an era... Country View Crafts has been running a monthly challenge for over 10 years and in that time we had 125 challenges, 1500 posts, 24 DT members, 6000 comments, over 800 blogger followers (more by email or RSS feeds) and a staggering 1.75 million views. A record we can be proud of!

But, over the years, we have seen the popularity of Facebook, Instagram and other social media increase at the detriment of blogs.

It is difficult to know how many crafters still enjoyed our blog as few people commented on our posts. When we asked our followers to "let us know your thoughts about our posts, challenges, changes you would like to see" in our last challenge post only 4 people replied and we have come to the conclusion that we need to move with the times and jump on the social media bandwagon.

Country View Crafts has a brand new Facebook page where the challenge will be hosted from now on. Once logged in Facebook, joining the group is easy, just click on this link, then the "Join Group" button and reply to the questions shown to prove you are real crafters.

All the details for entering the challenge, theme, rules, prizes etc.. will be available in the group. The DT will be posting all along the month to give you inspiration, share their makes, talk products etc... and members of the group can post and show off their makes too, as long as they respect the group's rules.

We are grateful to you for sharing our journey and we hope you will follow us in that new venture and are as excited as we are. Do be gentle with us though as we are still learning how to "Facebook"!

Finally, as CorrieJoMiriam and Monika have left our DT we will be welcoming Cassie Campbell of InkC Retreats fame as well as Brenda Brown who will be returning to the fold.

Onwards and upwards...
 Susan

June Winners

Hello everybody! Here are our June Winners. There were some really fabulous entries and we always love seeing what you're inspired to make by each theme.
Are you sitting comfortably? Then let's begin!

The June winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is Number 11

The top 3 are:
15. alice k.

Craftyfield said: I love the seamless combination of photographic elements with the stamped images creating this scene.

5. Vintage

Craftyfield said: Joan dusted off some old stamps to create this delightful page full of Vintage imagery. Ribbons and doily add that final touch for a pretty and feminine feel.

10. Gerrina

Craftyfield said: Gerrina used Pan Pastels to create the subtle background to the elegant lady straight out of the roaring twenties showing that Vintage can be colourful and not always shades of brown!
Finally the DT mention goes to:

19. "Vicky"

Craftyfield said: I loved the 3D effect of the elements against the background. Full marks for the sky created from scratch and the metal effect of the embossed and waxed card at the bottom.

Fantastic work all around! Congratulations - please contact Debs on debs@deborahwainwright.com with win or DT top 3 in the subject to claim your prizes and badges, by July 31 to be eligible.

Once we have your details your prizes will be winging their way to you and we hope you'll display them with pride. Don't forget to join us in our July Challenge.

Good morning, a very happy Saturday, and welcome to July.

I'm really happy to be hosting this month's challenge, and the theme is A Four-Legged Friend.
These can be any four-legged animal you like, so think cats, dogs, farmyard or even jungle.
The animals must be the main focus of your project, so no tiny mouse sat under a leaf somewhere in the corner, please.
Here's my first project.

If you would like to see how this came together please pop across to my blog.
Take care and I'll see you next week with my second project x

Scrappy Horses card was inspired by a board game with trains.

Just gorgeous!

Deanne

Deanne made a yellow car treat box which is absolutely adorable!

Jane

Hello and welcome to a "vintage" June. No one does vintage like Tim Holtz, in my humble opinion, so both my design team makes this month use his products. This is my first...and yes it's a Christmas card, my first of 2023.

If the thought of Christmas doesn't send you running for the hills screaming
then I have a full step by step over on my blog here of how I made it.

Bye for now,Happy Christmas , sorry I mean June 😄
