Use your wings

Hello it's Jane from Jane's Journal here today with my 2nd postcard to hopefully give you some more ideas for entering our current March postcard challenge.  For this postcard I used the same distress oxide ink colours as my first but used an assortment of stamps to help my birdie sing as he builds his nest. All the details are over on my blog here  if you would like to spring  pop over.

We have passed the first day of spring and despite the return of the Beast from the East let's hope by the end of the month March will go out "like a lamb"
There are just 8 days left to get your postcards made and "posted" on the challenge entry page here. You might even be the lucky random winner of a £20 spend on the website. Good luck!

Bye for now,

-----------------------------
Glad lots of you joined in the Anything goes BUT cute challenge last month. There were so many gorgeous creations in so many different styles it was difficult to choose just 3
Christine (Craftyfield) finally settled, in no particular order, on:

#11 Emma's ATCs

http://thesparklyfairy.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/e-is-for-eye.html
Christine says: "I loved Emma's use of the embossing folders and the gold embossing. The collaged photos' Vintage feel looks perfect against the backgrounds too."

#60 Angela's Valentine's tag

http://angelacuttingandcarving.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/crafty-cardmakers-challenge-love-and.html
Christine says: " I loved Angela design, with subtle variation of the colour red and repeated heart shaped motifs. The addition of the Angelina fibres gives a tactile touch and adds shimmer"

#43 Sarah with another Valentine's tag

http://www.sarahscraftshed.co.uk/2018/02/love-tag-2.html
Christine says: "I loved the background made with a mop up tissue layered on top of Mica sprayed cardstock. This builds up a lovely depth and the addition of stark black acrylic paint lines creates a striking contrast."

Finally Christine's special Mention goes too... (drum roll)...

Pat with her beautiful African Sunset scene !

https://colourfulcardcreations.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/lions-at-dusk.html
Christine says: "First I admired how Pat managed to control the Brushos, as it's not an easy feat! Secondly the sunset was so believable I was transported to the African plains... The Sheena Douglass stamps looked so beautiful and realistic against the background they are now on my wish list!"

March 2018 - Postcards (6x4)

Welcome everyone to our March Challenge.
Our theme this month is "Postcards" sized 6"x4", chosen by the lovely Sue

Good morning and happy Thursday. I'm really happy to be hosting this months challenge, and I've chosen a nice easy one for you - Postcards (6x4).
I was recently lucky enough to attend the Stitches trade show at the NEC, and I took a class with the lovely Raquel (Scrapcosy) She taught us loads of fab techniques and she and Leandra are more than happy for us to pass them on (though not as well as she did I'm afraid) There are more photo's over on my blog along with a link to Raquel's YouTube channel, so I would love to see you over there xx

Happy St. David's Day.

What a great topic for this month's challenge.
Here is my first project for the month

Join me over on my blog  to see how I created this project.
Happy Crafting
