It's all about TIM __ IN the studio Now !

Well as I have mentioned before -- I love lots of mixed media art styles -- and I love making little books and tag books .
But this week it will all be about TIM -- I have become a" Hunter and Gatherer "
from many sources for (TIM HOLTZ new releases since the "CHA " this spring -- )
All dark and grunge is not my style , nor is everything all bling -- altho
I do both -- His products are top notch and his ideas can be adaptd to whatever style you like . I have been a fan since the "CArol Duvall DAys -- on HGTV "
since then he has become a household word in the craft-(esp paper art) industry .

Archivers had a great display using his things and let me take pics -- they are always generous -- Wish it were closer -- but alas would spend all my time there if it were nearer , so probably a blessing --THis ia a few pages of their book sample --using some of my fav companys' papers -- 7 GYPSIES --- ALAS -- I have most excep that they are out of the mini -film - so cute -- will order some - I did buy several dies -- stamps sets -- new ink colors etc -- , will show them in a later post -

EAT Something Cute

I love this little saying from Teresa -- YOu are what you eat , so eat something cute -- THis canvas was made as a swap item -- for a sweet girl who collects retro look items -- loves red and yellow in her Kitchen and Mary Engelbrite touches --

Being a " vintage girl " it was a particular challenge to even get the retro ideas in my brain besides collect what i thought she would like -- THis was also a Tussie Mussie swap , Her kitchen things were kitschy and cute and in lots of bright red ,yellow and greens , she said she was very pleased , so I hope so .

THIs was a cloche that I bought and hub turned and stained the base - They are one of my favorite ways to emphasize a remembrance or season --

THis was made especially for my precious friend lisa for her B-day

She collects small nature things that reminder of special trips and memories --so I thought she would enjoy changing it for the seasons

THEN WITH THE MUSIC PLAYING A PARADE OF CHILDREN CAME IN THE DARKENED ROOM - WITH MINI MAG LIGHTS FLASHING _so CUTE
then tHERE WAS ALSO A LIVE SKIT AFTER THAT ( REALLY WOULD LOVE A COPY )-- DON'T KNOW IF THAT WAS FILMED -- with son IN HIS HELMET AND ORANGE CAPE -- hiding behind bushes -- and talking to our exec Pastor -- that IT wasn't a secret -- he wanted others to know about vbs -- Didn't realize he was in big church -- mADE A HASTY EXIT THEN CARRYING THE PLANT --too cute

Behind the scenes !!!

In the post before , you saw pics of my " onstage family " -- cannot leave out pictures of the rest , who help to make it all happen .
MY Hub and oldest son always work for many hours -- building sets. and with set -ups and take downs and many other building projects in our church as a ministry,


Our oldest son Josh is always his Dads right hand -- in his company as well as
in church projects == altho youngest son does quite a lot also , and works for his Dad , he also has a rehearsal schedule to contend with -- and several other church friends help with the heavy lifting , when setup rolls around .


THis is a recent pic of our oldest son , while he was on a trip to Oregon -- I love this picture , He is the more serious one, of our boys , but very funny and animated also with a fun personality. He has his Dad's( stop you in your tracks , Paul Newman type blue eyes )
Of course I think he is a cutie , and he is strong as an ox -- works out and
always was quite an athlete in school .
THis pic of Hub is with our sweet friend , Lisa --who is like family- and Hub at a food drive -- with two little church friends who wanted to be in the picture -- some of the older children gave out flyers -- we do this each year several times . It was so amazing we live in a town that is so giving, we collected 30+ truck loads this year -- and are having a canned food drive this Sunday at church also .

Well that rounds out our group of players -- HUb , Dtr ,and Sons and my sweet -- Daughter-in Loves ( laws ) . I ♥ them all so much ..
