IN the purple mode --

Thought I would share some previous pics of my lavender -purple things --
This is a display of a small group of lavender things I have collected - I only have them in one small area --, but have always loved pansies with the dark velvety purple -My Dad planted them each year , because they were my favorites . His flowers were special to him - in the spring each night after supper - we would walk around the house to check on all his beautiful flowers --Sorry i did not get his green thumb . He has been gone many years - but this is a sweet memory .
. I am trying to get in the "PURPLE " mood to
create a special birthday banner gift for my friend's sewing room . She bought beautiful curtain material with lavender butterflies --so the romantic .vintage look will be just right and she loves flowers also --

Nesting

This title is apt in more than one way . Seems like I have been burrowed in , not even posting -, checking my bestest !bloggy friends of course -- and just house stuff - not even junking - one of my fav things --
Was truly on overload with lots of swaps -- while fun - creativity flew out the window when they were all finished --
Wanting to reorganize my art room - and make mY "NEST " shelf with my precious New nest banner from my swap -- I will include some of these sweet things in the picture above on the shelves as well as many other birdy things -- I need to include my Beth and Karla -- Birds and Bonnets swap goodies from last year -- they were from several different artist, very cute and need to make my bird with metal wings with the etsy kit I bought - Now just got to get the energy going -- Maybe I have been nesting too much -- It is so beautiful and warm here today --
Truly God 's creation on this Earth Day should be enough inspiration .
They are singing and the bees are buzzing and the spring flowers are so beautiful .

Spring Thoughts

Hope all had a wonderful celebration of Easter -- such a beautiful day
we have had many storms here -- and so it felt so much what this day called Easter
is about -- everything washed clean from the rain -- a feeling of " JOY "
within your heart - that Jesus died and was ressurected just for us as we give our life to him .
So had to design a new banner - I really need to make the plunge and get
Photoshop - not the commercial one --I keep talking about it - so intimidated
by thinking I can learn it -- I can do many thingswith my scrap program -
but melding and altering things are not easy and some things , not doable

Swap goodies for easter and Meet Bessie Mae

Here are a few pics of my swap goodies that I mentioned yesterday - and mY mannequin which i love
It was purchased at my fav shop -- Vintage Village - oh wonderful shop
and has an online blog -- I have had it about a year -- her name is Bessie
Mae -- after my husbands mom(middle name Mae and granmother(Bessie) --
both were redheaded ( well with a little help lol ) but had lots of spunk
and so fun - and loved me dearly -- She has a little finery on -and after
languishing in the Dining romm sitting area --she now resides in a small corner of my art room , and makes me smile when I look at herand remember her name sake -- both gone many years -- also when I think what i paid for her and that Sweet HUbs -- said -- go ahead - why not ! he is
a keeper -- not about money issues -- but such a sweet man of God -- ♥

I am so into the sweet doll images I see on lots of sites
I made this tag at Valentines - but want to use the image again for some atc's and a couple of Ideas I have -- I also bought some of the doll heads and won a frozen charlotte doll - so will be trying my hand at those ideas too -

Cold here today - like most of you , but it is Spring in the South
was 28 this morning yikes hope it warms up for Easter-- Well off to get a haircut -ya know spiffed up for Easter and spring renewal for the old girl -lol

EASTER EGG HUNT !! who made my EGGS ??

Saturday is the big Easter Egg hunt --for the Swap at VIV's -- we are to post our two eggs we sent , plus the two we got and Viv will do the link -- to all the sites -- as it was a secret -- only Ms VIV knew whose eggs you got -- SHe had packages stacked everywhere -- I think there were about 30 people in the swap -- and we would have two different partners ,
Sure to be a hoppy day !! Will be trying to find out who my swap partners were ???
