daddy time

Daddy's been getting lots of QT w/his kiddos, especially Tobin's who's been super clingy to him.
Daddy w/Tobin and Skyler.

I love the look on Hudson's face.
Daddy w/his boys: Tobin's looking at daddy while Hudson's crawling away.

tickle fest for Tobin!

Skyler

Grandpa Bob came and visited last Thursday, he's w/Hudson.

Daddy and his boys. They woke up from their nap super clingy and crying, poor boys!

Tobin's new thing, we're calling him the hoarder, he's got the Cote gene on this one. He likes to have the rings around his ankles and he's constantly carrying a bunch of toys in his hands.

Hudson is all about stacking things and lining them up, he's so proud and excited when he's lining up these push/ride on toys.

Hudson pushing his 'little babies' around. Too cute!!!

play w/Lynne and Pam's kids (05.26)

Through all the madness of trying to get us prepared for the move, I still have to keep some normalcy for the kids and are continuing our weekly playdates w/Lynne and her kids. We have not played for the past (2) weeks b/c her kiddos were sick, but everyone is feeling all well again and this time the Stone Family also joined us. Pam Stone and her trio, almost 15 months joined us last Wednesday at our house. She has two girls and a boy: Madison, Morgan, and James.

After Pam and her kiddos left, we made our way out the backyard. Thank goodness the yard guy had finished...it was time for something different. Both of our kids usually need a change of scenery about 10/10:30 ish or else they're serious meltdowns.

Hudson, Tommy and Skyler and (Molly)---hmmm what could they be up to?

This cracks me up: Tommy looks like he's climbing out of the fort while my boys are underneath it (can't see Hudson).

and what are these two up to? Tobin & Skyler

What a great play date that was!!! Everyone slept til almost 4!!! LOVED IT!!!

another Costco trip---parents night in (05.22)

Last Saturday, we took the kids to Costco again to buy more things we need for our move. We tried to feed them lunch there, but was not successful this time. No one wanted to stay in the carts so we let them loose, of course they were more interested in picking things off the floors, touching the trash can, basically everything but eating. So we rounded them up and took them home for lunch. They were not happy!
Later that night, after they went to bed, we grilled and had a few people over. We were going to do a big shindig, but time is running out and we have LOTS to do, so we're only do small gatherings. Tanika and Don F. and Mike V. stopped by for some delish food and drinks!

Alejandra's last day (05.21)

Friday was Alejandra's last day. It was a tough decision for us, but my mom told me the week before that she was laid off. She said she could help me with the kids since it'll only be about a month more before we leave. She'll be coming on the same days Alejandra was coming, Tues, Thurs, and Friday from 11-5 to help out.
Alejandra has been w/the kids since they were born, she used to be their night nanny and we were so grateful when she came everynight! Then we eventually switched her to a daytime nanny when the kids were about 7 or 8 months after tyring the other nanny, Susana out. We're sorry to see her leave as she's been a big help w/the kids, keeping the house clean, and allowing me to get out of the house during their naps. We gave her info to another triplet family and they will try her out. But this way, my mom can get some grandma time in w/the kids.

She kissed all the babies before she left and said "I love you" to Hudson. Hudson's been really attached to her lately.

furniture shopping (05.15-05.16)

Last weekend was a busy one for us! Dan came home Friday and we got to spend some quality family time together. Saturday, our handyman started tiling the kitchen floors and it was so loud that the kids were uneasy about all the noise. They would turn towards us and make noises everytime they heard a loud noise, so we had to get them out of the house. Since the SCT picnic was canceled due to rain, we went shopping!

Since we have so much shopping to do for our trip, one of them furniture, we loaded them in the car to go shopping. We need to buy us and the kids bedroom furniture since there are more selection over here and they are shipping everything for us, might as well!

We took the kids to Rooms to Go first and they did OK, considering Tobin was a little cranky. He's been like this for the past month, just clingy cranky. I think it's just a phase he's going through, not teething b/c he just finished w/all that. We saw kids furniture that we really like and will get for them. Not that I'm rushing them to get out of cribs, I'd prefer them to stay in cribs for as long as they can, but we have to be prepared should they decide not to be in cribs anymore when we're in Saudi (ie: climbing out of crib). I'm gonna bypass the toddler beds and go straight to twin beds and we'll prolly get the bedrails in the beginning. The sticker shock of buying all three bedroom furniture is a little overwhelming! I didn't have their snack cups w/me but had snacks in our bag and that kept them happy.

Of course we got lots of comments. I just grined and moved on, but I really should be my sarcastic self.

"are those triplets"- maybe

"oh wow, did you make that (referring to the stroller)"- yes w/all our free time

"what lovely girls you have"- thanks but they are hippy boys and a girl

"wow never seen this before"- really I see it all the time

So anyways, it was getting close to their lunch and we needed to go somewhere else besides home to let the kids eat and stretch their legs, we called Julie b/c she was so close. Luckily she was awake so we picked up Arby's for everyone and headed ove there. Kids munched on Arby's roast beef sandwiches, popcorn chicken and applesauce...ordered 3 kids meals, too cute!!!
We drove them around for their nap and then went to RoomStore when they woke up. After a long day of shopping we came home and Dan's parents and Matt came by for a visit.

Us @ the Roomstore (Hudson, Tobin and Skyler). BTW this is the bedroom furniture we decided on for us. We're gonna get the kids theirs at Rooms to Go.

Tobin @ Julie's house. That's his thing now, walking around while eating.

They love the stairs!

Next to loving the stairs, they couldn't get enough of playing w/the faucet. (Tobin, Hudson & Skyler)

Caught this moment of Hudson and Skyler hugging! PRICELESS!!!

The next day, we took them to Gallery Furniture in the morning and they really loved watching the monkeys and birds. We even saw "Mattress Mac" and he said it's the first time he's seen triplets there, he had seen quints before. I remembered the snack cups and it made everything A LOT smoother! Ricky, our handyman was over finishing up the kitchen floors, he didn't want us to go too long w/o being able to use the stove. I'm so glad he finished the floors that day!
When they went down for their nap, Julie came by to babies sit so Dan and I can go to Star Furniture, Bel Furniture and re-visit Rooms to Go so we could make a final decision on all the furniture. Can't wait to buy everything, too bad all these nice furniture won't be in this lovely house of ours! I guess we'll make the Saudi home "home" to us.

Matthew at park w/us (05.13)

As you can see, I'm always a week behind on the blogging. This week has been really tough b/c our computer was hit with a virus and one minute I think it's fixed, but I can tell it's still not quite right. Oh well, gotta get as much blogging as I can before I can't remember the details.
When Dan was in Calgary and it wasMatthew's last day w/us, we took the kids to the neighborhood park. It's nice to have 3 people at public places.

Skyler and Hudson making their way toward the slide as Tobin watches them. Skyler and Hudson have been hanging out together a lot. When they were little, maybe before they turned 1, it used to be Tobin and Skyler. Skyler's lucky she has two cool bros to hang out with.
With all the free roaming they could do, they still gravitate towards playing w/the stroller...who knew!
