This is what we've been doing after their dinner is to let them roam in the living room. Hudson pushing two high chairs. Go baby go!!! You can kinda see Tobin and Skyler pushing the walker.

Finger foods!!! Skyler with a mouthful of food! She likes to stuff her mouth, maybe she's afraid if she doesn't eat it all at once, her bros would eat them. We're using the Baby Bjorn bibs now as it helps a lot with not getting the food on the floor. Redford and Molly aren't too happy about that! :-)

Let's see where to begin...everyone is doing really well. I can't believe their first birthday is coming up. I'm planning it and hopefuly it'll turn out as I want it to be for them, not that they would know anything, but I want for there to be really good memories for them when they're older. The theme is "Old MacDonald". That's another one of their favorite nursery rhyme besides "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". I'd thought about doing Twinkle, but that's their naptime song and it's a party so I didn't want to confuse them. I just can't believe I'm a mommy to triplets and that (thank goodness) everyone is in good health. That's all I can ask for!
Action wise...Everyone is crawling fast, sitting and standing up on their own, pulling themselves up and climbing on anything they can get their feet on. Tobin and Skyler are climbers, they've been climbing on all the toys and hanging over the play area gate. Skyler likes to roll back and forth on the couch too. They all like to be around the jumperoos and activity center and play with them standing on the outside instead of being in them. Hudson is not so much a climber, he's into pushing things. We ordered Thai food last week and it came in a box and the kids loves playing with it. Hudson's been pushing it around, everyone banging their hands on it. Today I put Skyler in the box and Hudson pushed her for a little bit. What a strong baby I have!
Talking....Hudson is the most talkative, he's said " baba, mama, dada". Tobin is also saying those same words and lately Skyler's been saying "naaahh naaah". They look like they're talking to each other when they're playing too!
Food/feeding...we've been practicing finger foods as the pedi asked us to at their 9 months checkup. So far Tobin and Skyler can feed themselves, although they have totally different technique. Skyler uses her pointer finger and delicately picks up the food where as Tobin grabs a big chunk and shoves it in his mouth by his palm. Skyler will hord all the food in her mouth and sometimes you have to pick it out because her mouth is so full she can't even chew. Tobin has been spitting out veggie finger food, but he'll still eat it pureed. It's so funny to watch them. Feeding time can be quite entertaining! Also funny is they like to "talk" to each other when they're eating too. They will sit there and all of sudden start laughing, sometimes it's all three like they're in their own world! We're still working with Hudson with finger food. He can pick it up just putting it in his mouth is the hard part. He's prolly thinking why should he do anything when Mommy's there helping him. It's alright, he'll master it one day. I start off their meal with some kind of finger food, then something that needs a spoon and then fresh fruits for them to pick up. They've have eaten the following:
breakfast: eggs, pancakes, tofu w/crushed up Cheerios, cereal, yogurt, Cheerios, fruits
veggies: green beans, sweet peas, eggplant, mushrooms, brocalli, cauliflower, corn, sweet potato, carrots, squash, spinach, celery, snap peas, edame
fruits: raspberries, apples, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, peaches, nectarines, bananas, prunes, pears, mangos, blackberries, pineapple
meats/protein: beef, chicken, turkey, pork, salmon, cheese, pasta, Vietnamese ham (pork roll)
I think there's more, but that's all I can remember now. If you know me, I hate to cook, but I find myself cooking for Dan and I when I have time so I can give the kids some of our food. I made spaghetti with turkey sausages the other night and gave that to the kids and they loved it!
We really do have such wonderful kids, I can't believe they've been sleeping through all the noises from the renovation especially since our bathroom backs up to their room. Napping has been really well, maybe we should have more chaos around the house and do more projects! :-)
