4 months Dr. appt---Hudson rolled over

Kids went in for there 4 months check up and shots today. Overall Doc gave them a great bill of health and said we were doing a great job with them. That's always nice to hear especially when you've got lots to juggle. He said we can start giving them food and switching to a 4hour schedule too if they'll go for it. I'm gonna wait on the food for now. Here are the kids stats:
Hudson---11 lbs. 9 oz., 22 1/2" long
Tobin---13 lbs. 11 oz., 24" long
Skyler---11 lbs. 14 oz., 23 1/2" long

These guys love the playmat, they love looking at the blinking sun at the top and kicking the curved railings. From clockwise, Hudson, Skyler, and Tobin.

Hudson rolled over yesterday after the 9am feeding! Yippee!!! I missed it, but Dan caught it. BTW, Dan's off til 1/5.

Jill and Michele's visit

Jill and Michele came over for our 2nd annual Christmas gathering. Jill brought Greg, her hubby and newborn son James. Jill had James about 3 weeks after I had the trips. Michele came with Ken, her boyfriend. Jill, Michele and I used to go GNO (girls night out) once a month before Jill and I became preggers. This was the first time we all three have gotten together. They each brought over several appetizers/munchies so it would be easy on everyone. Oops, I guess we didn't take any pics of Jill and Greg---Sorry!

our Christmas tree---new feeding method---Tobin rolled over

We finally got the tree up. It was sitting outside for about a week before Matt could help Dan bring it into the house. I rushed to get this tree so I could make it back before the next feeding started and didn't even bother to have the guy unwrap it. It was really big and heavy; it was too tall for the front living room, so we put it back in the room that was renovated since the ceiling is higher. It was even out when we had snow last Wednesday evening. To show you how busy our lives have gotten, the tree doesn't have all of its light especially at the top. And it's missing a bunch of ornaments, but I figured it's less for me to put away.

As they become more aware of their surroundings, they've started to move around too much now, moving their arms/head, batting the bottles. So on some days when everyone's all hungry, I feed them on the bumbo seats and just hold their bottles. It's a little bit faster, not much, but it does save some time since they burp on their own. Thank goodness Skyler was asleep. Don't they look like they're waiting for the bus or something? (Hudson's on the left, Tobin on the right)

Tobin rolled over during the 1pm feed. I changed their noon feeding to 1pm since everyone seems to sleep til then. I put him on his tummy and the next thing I saw was him rolling over. I got so excited, I put him back on his tummy and he kept doing it over and over. I even called Dan (he was at his work holiday lunch at Champp's).

Dan's Holiday party---Dan's birthday

Last night was our first night out after having the babies. It was my first time out since bedrest that doesn't include the pedi's office, park, grocery stores, or P.O. box office or other household errands.

Julie, Matt, and Gabby (Matt's girlfriend) came early to help feed the babies at 6pm so we could get ready. We left the house about 7:30 and of course I called home when we got there. Julie said all of them were sound asleep. When we left, Hudson wasn't settled in yet and Julie had to also feed Skyler the rest of her bottle since she's didn't finish before and also wouldn't settled in. It was great to hear that they were asleep. Matt actually came by earlier to help Dan put up the Christmas tree and do some "honey do". I bought it last week and it's been sitting infront of our house for a week since the babes keeps us so busy.

We went to Dan's holiday work party. ASC- Aramco Services Company has one of the most elaborate party I've ever been to for a work function. The theme was "An Evening In Paradise". It was held at the Intercontinental Hotel and everything was decorated with chocolate brown colors and peacock feathers. The buffet is the best I've ever had. They had about 20 items to choose from lamb, huge shrimp, crab, beef ribs and all sorts of desserts. I heard 800 people rsvp'd for the party. There was dancing, prize drawing every hour, casinos, picture taking, and a bobble head video thing. Dan did win a leather luggage set, I was hoping for some jewelry but oh well! Overall it was a great evening out! My feet were thankful to be home, it's been a year since I've worn heels and my shoes were killing me!

Today is Dan's 35th birthday! His family came over to celebrate with pizza and Chinese food. He received money towards fixing the radiator or seat upholstery for his classic 1965 Sunbeam Alpine.

my mom & bro's visit---bumbo seats---and boys strangely being identical (duh)!!!

My mom (Ba Ngoai- grandma in Vietnamese) came by with my bro, Matthew to visit and bring me food. They stayed to help me feed at noon and are on their way to the airport for Vietnam. My grandma has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and it's causing heart and kidney failure. I'm so sad I haven't seen her in a long time and can't be with her. Matthew was in the process of getting her paperwork so she can come visit the babes, but now I don't see that happening. I did get to talk to her 3 weeks ago when we convinced her to come visit.--- My mom's holding Skyler and Tobin.

Tobin testing out the bumbo- not a bad view from down here!

Skyler playing beek-a-boo with me. She cracks me up with her expressions all the time, they all do!

Hudson smiling for mommy!

I put them in the bumbo seats for the first time. I wanted to see if they could sit up, I guess they don't have any problems. Hudson's the only one looking at me, Tobin not sure what, and Skyler's checking out the floors or her toes.

On a side note, lately Tobin and Hudson have been acting the same most of the time. The other morning, I noticed Tobin had a red mark on his right nose and Hudson had one on his left. They must of scratched it during their sleep. So wierd, when one cries, the other will start, same goes with being hungry and pooping at the same time.

Raising our heads during tummy time!

Skyler, Tobin, and Hudson all doing really well lifting their heads during tummy time. They started this back in November, just hadn't had time to update blog.
