Averi's Preschool Graduation

I hap to take a picture of these super cute cupcakes that another mom made. I think even I could make these. She even added Ladybugs to the top of the graduation hats in honor of "Leah's Ladybug Preschool". Super fun.

 Averi is always quite dramatic.

Teach Leah said that Averi was the only student who scored 100% on the Kindergarten readiness test.
I'm not sure how Averi is so smart considering I have done extremely little in regards to education with her. But she is reading simple words already. I am very impressed. She is just a sponge.

The Impossible Picture

At Krissy and Wade's wedding we attempted to take a family picture. Guess which child could not get it right? Every picture the same child is doing something strange. Good thing I love her so much.

That child is a tad better in the last picture, but another child decided to be strange. Oh the joys of a family picture. What is the key to getting 5 kids to all look the same way and smile at the same time?

Krissy and Wade Got Married!

Today was a wonderful day. Krissy married Wade Tanner in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Such a beautiful ceremony. Krissy chose well. I know she and Wade will be very happy. I love this picture of Canon and Grandpa Nicoll. Two Donalds just hanging out together.
We attempted to take a family picture. Though it may not be perfect, at least it captures everyone at the moment. The kids change so quickly.

The reception was beautiful and well attended. Krissy and Wade are off to a great start. Congratulations!

Krissy Is Married!

Krissy got married! She married Wade Tanner in the Mesa, Arizona Temple today May 19, 2011. We are so happy for her and excited to welcome Wade to the family.  Her photographer snapped all of these pictures. Love the one of Grandpa holding Canon.

This wa a pretty good attempt at a large family picture. Most everyone is actually looking.
Krissy and Wade with all the nieces and nephews. They are sure going to have a lot of baby sitters to choose from.
My parents with their kids and newest son-in-law.
 Another view.
Love this black and white shot of Averi, Braily, and Lexi. They are all such good friends.

First Piano Recital!

Ethan and Lexi had their first ever piano recital tonight. They were pretty nervous, but both did wonderfully. I love how seriously they took this recital. They truly wanted to do their best. Matix was a good fan.
I love the concentration that Ethan shows here. He did wonderfully.
Lexi played flawlessly as well. She's the most persistent little girl. She will keep at something until she gets it perfect. Such a great characteristic.
My good friend Sarah Lewis is their teacher. Her kids line up perfectly with mine and they get along so well.  We were so sad when they moved from our ward, but are happy to have them close by still.
Congratulations to Ethan and Lexi for a wonderful concert. Well done my sweet children!

Canon- 3 Months

Sometimes I really like to play with my camera. Canon is one of my five favorite little models. He will be 3 months old tomorrow and just as cute as can be, so I took a couple shots.

He is by far the center of attention in our home. We love him very much. Cory is still hoping that he keeps his blue eyes. So far he has.

Can you really blame me for playing with my camera so much. I mean, when I have such cote subjects I just can't help myself. Happy 3 months old my dear son.

Averi Plays Soccer

Averi has been begging to play soccer for a year. She is finally old enough so I had to sign her up. She is hilarious. Sometimes I think she really know what she is doing. Other times I realize that she does not. She has learned a lot throughout the season though.  She sure loves to celebrate goals! So far she has scored one of her own thanks to a ricochet.

I love this action shot below of her celebrating a teammate's goal.
Such a poser. She's always ready for a picture.
Wow! Averi has the ball. Go Averi Go!
 And then she does this.
And again she has the ball. Go Averi Go.
Hey, that's not legal! Averi became tangled up somehow and ended up sitting on the ball completely by accident. She laughed and laughed as only Averi does.

She didn't know quite what to do, so she just sat there until the ref figured things out for her. She had a fun season. It was interesting to watch our little princess be a little athlete for an hour every Saturday.
