My greatest fear towards the end of pregnancy was that I wouldn't know I was in labor, sounds weird, I know! But I had been having so many contractions for so long that I was just used to them and didn't think I would be able to tell once they meant business! After 36 weeks I was taken off of bedrest and figured each night that it would be the night that I would go into labor. A week later I was convinced that I would go overdue! However on Saturday March 24th it was a gorgeous day and we decided to walk into old town Sherwood and back, this was about a two hour walk and pretty strenuous for big ol' prego me. Then all afternoon it seemed like my contractions were getting worse but I didn't pay too much attention to them. I started timing them in the late afternoon and they were 2-3 minutes apart and I felt pressure but still wasn't convinced. I finally decided that before it got too late I should go get checked out but figured they would send me home. Our sweet friend Sara came over and sat with Breckin after we put him to bed and my dad headed up to take over if needed. I was sent to triage and a nurse checked me, we were all surprised that I was already 6cm and almost 100% effaced! They got me into a room and I enjoyed a long relaxing bath in the jacuzzi tub. I was totally comfortable and when the doctor checked me and I was only at 7cm we decided to try breaking my water. Well things got much more intense at that point and within a half hour I was telling everyone that I felt like I needed to push, the nurse kept telling me not to because she was sure I wasn't ready to yet. After much more insisting on my part she decided to check me and discovered that Tanner's head was right there and things got a little crazy while they tried to get the doctor and things set up. Once the doctor came in, I gave two pushes and Tanner was here! Poor things was purple from coming so quickly but totally perfect!
Tanner Andrew was born at 1:29 a.m. on March 25 weighing 8lbs 3oz and 19inches(I was shocked as he was still 2.5 weeks early!)

Breckin was ecstatic to meet Tanner, he loves him to death and is taking the role of big brother really well!

With Papa

Breckin was tired of pictures at this point

Daddy and his boys

We can't tell what color his eyes are yet but he has a head full of hair!

All ready to go home!

Not so sure about the carseat but liked it once the car was moving

We are loving our new addition! Tanner is so easygoing and really only cries when you change his diaper. He is a loud little guy though, always grunting and making noises, he sounds like a little piglet! He is eating like a champ but I am noticing signs of a food sensitivity so I am cutting out dairy since it is the most likely culprit and hoping that is all it is. He doesn't seem as bad as Breckin was though.
