Havard Family Christmas

We spent Christmas in Lufkin visiting Jason's family. It was so good to get to visit with everyone and we had a wonderful time. The kids keep getting bigger and bigger (which is what they do, I know) and it's hard to believe how different they seem with each visit. Kade is taller than anyone else in the family and is now wearing a size 12 shoe at the ripe ol' age of 13!

Little buddy was enamored with the fancy wrapping and pretty bows. I think he thought they would taste as good as they looked, but by the expression on his face when he finally got a bow in his mouth was that glitter isn't so great after all!
Santa somehow knew where to visit John Hall Christmas morning. He got an elf, a couple of books, a chewy giraffe, measuring spoons (favorite toy!), and a red wagon. We had so much fun letting him see his presents. I can't wait for years to come when he's just as excited about the whole process. We're so grateful for our little guy and Santa was very good to our sweet boy!

John and Glenda (Muddie and Pop) had gotten a couple of hats for John. He got a set of foam Rudolf antlers and a forestry hat!

Later Christmas day, we opened presents with the cousins. He got so much stuff from Muddie and Pop...lots of clothes and toys. Cousins, Kade & Khloe, got him a sweet outfit and bib. He loved all of his new things and we're very lucky to have such a generous family.

Hall Family Christmas

The whole group! Every year we take a family photo and it seems like Jason will position himself to make it appear he belongs to anyone else but me. In this picture, it looks like Kim, James, and Jason are one little happy family! We'll have to do better next year! Ha!

One of my favorite parts of the holidays are the food. We all bring snack items to add to what mom and dad have made. I LOVE homemade chex mix and my dad makes the BEST! We also had lots of other good food and some mighty tasty catfish!
When we arrived at mom and dad's, we found paper towel rolls with each child's name under the tree attached to red string that was strung all over the house. Everyone rolled up their gifts and finally 'wound up' finding their present. The kids seemed to love finding their toys!

Speaking of gifts, the kiddos could barely contain their excitement before opening presents. They would hardly sit still for a quick group photo. Aren't they the sweetest group of children you've ever seen!
Ose and Pa with all their grandkids! We're glad we could contribute one this year!

We played lots of fun games. My favorite was the "Family Feud" where the Hatfields and McCoys competed to see who knew the most about Christmas trivia.

Jamie brought a cheeseball that was so good and she shaped it to look like a pine cone. Everyone kept teasing her that it looked more like a pineapple...what do you think?
On Saturday, we all relaxed and enjoyed outside activities on a very cold day.
