MN State Fair

This summer, Sam and I read Charlotte's Web.  Then last night, we watched the movie.  So heading to the state fair today, seemed extra special (if you haven't read the book - it ends at the county fair, just before school begins).
We got to see little Wilburs:
And a "blue ribbon pig"
And a girl who seemed to be a lot like Fern, the animal loving girl from Charlotte's Web.
But mainly Kate is our Fern - she could've stayed with the animals all day

This was our first ever family trip to the state fair.  The kids loved it - especially the giant slide and the ferris wheel.  It'll probably be a few years before they realize that most people go to the fair for the food.
