We spent a lovely week in Montana at my parents' place. It was so fun to take Sam there and introduce him to mountains and all the fun things to do. He actually really enjoyed hiking to Ousel Falls.

We could not believe how much water there was in the river and at the falls. For those of you who are familiar (and care), here's a picture of the falls. Crazy.

And Kate was just happy to be along for the ride.

Sam also got to go fishing, but the rivers were just raging so we had to go in a little lake nearby...

and despite help from the expert flyfisherman in the family (my dad)...

we caught a big nothing.

It was just great to spend time with my family, especially these two guys.

Hot Days

We've had just a handful of really truly hot days here in MN. On one of those hot days, Sam and his buddy Henry ran through the sprinkler and had a picnic on our deck. We are loving summer!
