Look Mommy, It's Christmas Again!

It's Washington, so weird weather is always a norm for us. Last night and this morning, the clouds brought us a snowstorm. Here's a little narration from my kids:

Eli: "What is this white stuff?"
"Let me see what it tastes like."
Ethan: "What is this white stuff?"
"Let me see what it tastes like."
"Oh, no I think it's poisoned."

"Oh, I've been poisoned!"
"Oh, I've been poisoned, too!"
"I think it's got me."

"It's not poisoned, it's just cold. Let's make it snow again."
"Yeah, did you hear that tree, you're going to live."
"Can I get some help here?"

Blow Out the Ceiling

Well, our addition is taking an enormously long time to finish, but that's ok because it's teaching me patience. However, I have to revel in the accomplishments along the way. We have drywall on the ceiling and insulation in the attic. It's so lovely and warm now. No drafts coming from the addition anymore.

Hats Off to Eli

I got a new sewing machine for Christmas and was dying to try it out. Eli really wanted a hat, so I got an opportunity to use it.
It's in the shape of a baker's hat.
I think it's a little big.Have fun with your new hat, Eli!

Anne Marie is Still Around

I know you've all been wondering where the heck I've been. Well, I've been writing a book and it's taken the better part of a year. When I'm not writing, I'm editing and when I'm not editing, I'm doing book readings and when I'm not doing that, I'm thinking of my next story ideas. I'm working on getting this current story published and I'll keep you updated. But, I'm still here, just busy, busy
