Festival of the Nativity

Kaela performed in a children's choir at the Festival of the Nativity this year.

Kaela is the one on the far right in the back. She looked beautiful and we could even hear her singing. Great job, Kaela Bean.
Also, the kids and I were a live nativity on the stage for a very, very, very long time. Here comes Eli getting his costume just right.
Ethan kept fighting with Raechel over the baby Jesus. Ethan won out this time.
I don't think I've been asked, "What time is it?" more often than when we were on that stage. We were slotted for an hour, but only made a scanty 30 minutes. Way to go kids!

Young Women in Excellence

For a Young Women's value project, Raechel was in charge of Young Women's in Excellence. They did A Night at the Museum and presented each girl's project as if it were an art exhibit. She had great help from the Young Women's Presidency and the night turned out beautifully. Great job, Raech!

Eli the Cool Cat

Hello, my name is Eli Eamon Corey

I'm just a regular kid and my favorite thing to do is play with legos.

But, there's something else you've got to know about me.

I'm also really good looking. ;)

How are you doin'?

Adventure Base at Puyallup Fair

Ethan got to see what it's like to be famous. Lookin' good, Buddy!

First Day of School

Can you tell which kids is excited about the first day of school?

Ethan's 10th Birthday

Ethan has a birthday that I totally forgot to blog about. Here's his score of Legos.
A Lego game.
Star Wars Legos. Are you sensing a theme?
And, of course, a sparkly cake. That was a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday, Buddy!

Happy Birthday Debbie

My lovely little sister is turning, well older, today and I wanted her to know how much she means to me. I'm blessed for having her in my life. I could tell you how talented she is, but I'd be up all night doing it. Suffice it to say that she's my sister and I love her. Happy Birthday, little sissy.

Happy Birthday Kaela

Kaela, are you ready for your 12th birthday party?

The cake is ready. Can I eat it now?

Open gifts first.Ok, fine.
Ahhhhh! I love it.That's a pretty good haul. How about some cake now?
That's what I've been waiting for.
It's all mine and you can't have any.

Kaela, I'm totally watching you. Quit trying to eat the cake.Fine, I'll blow out the candles first, but then it's mine. Well, maybe Eli can have some, but the cookies are all mine...mine, I say...mine! Mwa ha ha ha.
Happy Birthday, Kaela Bean, I can't believe you are in Young Womens now.

True Teenager

Raechel was only home for a total of three weeks this summer. Between Youth Conference, Girl's Camp and visiting her aunt in Utah, I barely saw her. Well, when she was home, she slept. A lot.
She has no idea I took this picture. :)

Playing with Blankets

Sometimes, when Ethan gets a little too crazy, I wrap him up like a burrito to help him calm down. He loves it. Well, one day, I had too other crazy kids who offered themselves up as side dishes.
Cozy little burritos.
Look how sedate Ethan is in his cozy cocoon.
The best part about it was digging in for seconds. Yum, yum, tickly little burritos.

Helping on the House

Yeah, I'm going to help dad on the house.
Wait, these are a little big on me. Maybe Dad can fix them. What's that you say, I have to crawl up in the attic with these big things.

I think I've changed my mind.

Chillin' at Lunch

This is an example of the kids' food of choice this summer: Chicken nuggets with whatever. I think it was mainly chicken nuggets, but Eli's happy.

BBQ with the Andersons

Zach had just gotten home from Iraq, and Natalie moved back over here from Royal City. That was a cause for celebration.
This is their second son, Preston. Can you say, ultimate cutie?
How about Ultimate Cutie Chloe?

After some yummy BBQ, it was time for them to go, but not before a little after dinner snack. Taste good, Preston?

Independence Day 2010

On the Fourth of July, we when to Gig Harbor on Point Fosdick to have a nice day with Steve's family.
Steve looks like he's wearing a halo. Isn't he a good little boy?
Look at that fiendish look. What is she up too?
Yeah, Kaela, it's the leftovers of a sea creature and, no, you can't take it home.
I'm all handsome sitting here chilling out and looking cool.
Ok, Raechel, seriously, what are you up too?

Uh, oh, that's what she's up too. Poor Winter, getting buried. By the way, did you know there are sand fleas in there?Oh no, Raechel got to Eli, too!
Well, he doesn't seem to mind too much.

Hee hee, I'm a sweet little angel, really. I didn't do anything.Getting the campfire going so we can roast some shmuchmellows, as Eli calls them.
Overall, a fun day for the kids. The fireworks were great and the weather cooperated.
