happy birthday wyatt

today is my oldest birthday.. he turned 11 today.  i still cant believe that 11 years ago that i became a mom for the 1st time.  he is such a wonderful young man and am so proud to be his mom. 

western wear and fast food

well we got our tax return back this past week.  like everyone you have so many places it needs to go. well the past couple of years we have taken our kids to riverside boot and sadle to get pants and boots.  they have a great time and love their new get up.  we figure what ever we get them lasts till next tax return season.  anyway we had fun and then got burger king for dinner. which is rare in our house because fast food is so expensive.  well after a day of spoiling its back to the dawson budget..

school awards

the past few weeks both the boys have gotten some awards at their friday assemblies at school.. wyatt got a 50 in a min trophy.  at their school they do daily math tests of trying to pass 50 math problems in a min.. there are many levels for each grade and once u pass so many you get a trophy.   cameron got the prinicals award for being a good kid.  wahoo.. good job boys.

blue and gold banquet

the boys had their blue and gold banquet this past week.. it is essentially a birthday party for the cub scouts.  we had a nice dinner and cake.. the boys also got some awards.  cameron got his bobcat and wyatt got a few more badges..

spring concert

carter had his spring concert today.. it was so fun to see him perform and have a good time..enjoy.A-

its done

got the closet finished this morning and if u cant tell samantha helped me with the painting while emmett was napping yesterday.  it was a good little one on one time for us.  now on to the next project..A-

let the contrusction begin

corey has been wanting to do this for a while now.  we knew there was this doorway in between the kitchen and living room so last night after telling him what i was going to do with the closet he wanted to do this.. after about a half an hour we had this.  cool huh.. now on to the next project..

100 days of school

well i volunteer in each of the kids classrooms.  ya i know im busy.. well this week in camerons class we celebrated the 100th day of school.  the kids made these funny hats and had a good time counting the 100 strips of paper to make them.  also this week was parent teacher conferneces.  the kids are all doing very well in school and i am so proud of them.  they are all above where they need to be for this point in the year.  i am still trying to figure where they got all there smarts from.. A-

cookies

i think we make cookies of some kind each week for a treat.  well this week it was chocolate chip and peanut butter.. i was asked to help feed the teachers for parent teacher conferneces.  so i made 2 kinds so we had some for us too..

1lb butter/margrine

2 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 1/2 cups white sugar

3 eggs

2 tsp vanialla

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

6 cups flour

bake 350 for 10-14 min depeding on your oven.  i bake min for 14.. they are amazing.
