Lagoon

We went to Lagoon before the 4th of July with the Christensen gang and it spent a few hours raining on us. It was a nice break from the heat and crowds but it lasted a little too long. We went and did these pictures to get out of the rain.

Goose

How can anyone resist goosing that bum.

More pictures from the country club. Swimming with cousins.

Will's Birthday

Will turned 6. He has been telling people he is 6 for a long time but now it is official. To celebrate we went to Grandma's to play at the creek. Will got a land and water remote control vehicle so he drove that in and out of the creek. Grandma and Grandpa took him shopping for a birthday present. Then we went to the country club to swim, eat dinner, have cake and open presents. Melanie was able to stay in town for a few extra days so she could be there. Melissa and the gang came too so the kids enjoyed cousins.

Bear Lake

Highlights of Bear Lake:

A clean, big cabin with working showers.
Sarah with her cousins.
Jonathan wakeboarding.
Abby skiing.
I finally finished my big fat book.
Milkshakes.
Seeing a moose.
Floating in the Seahawk.
The littles riding bikes on the deck.
Sand and water play.
The views from the cabin.

Bear Lake Triathlon

This is our second annual triathlon at Bear Lake. The kids just run in deep water, bike in the sand and then run. Abby didn't want to participate this year, Jonathan has to win and Will is the youngest and gets frustrated that he doesn't win. Because of my attempts at a triathlon last summer, Will says, "is this a race to win or a race just to try to finish?"

Sarah and Arie

I finally got tired of a million outfit changes a day so now all her clothes are up high. This is the result.

Sushi

Coray has learned how to make his own sushi and he is pretty good at it if I do say so myself. The asian market we go to is a little out of my league. I refuse to buy the roe and even the eel is hard to buy. Sometimes it is better to not know what you are eating. The kids are sticking to the fruit by the foot/ rice krispy treat/ swedish fish variety of sushi. Except Sarah who will eat anything. She likes the real stuff.
