Lucky duck!

Hi Copic marker Europe fans!

Sadly today it's my latest post for Copic Marker Europe.  I needed to stop because I hardly have some free time left and it's going to be so busy for me. Thank you so much for all your visits to my blogposts!!

I've used the stampset Quackers by SugarPea Designs, they are really cute!
First I stamped the ducks and the plants in brown Memento ink on some colouring cardstock.
Then I mapped out the water with a light blue sky colour B000. I drew some clouds with C1 and added some texture to it using C3.

Then I added some more depth in the clouds using C3 marker again.

Then it's time to fill in the blue between and around the clouds using B00 and B000. I always keep it a little bit lighter around the clouds.

I blended the  blue sky colours together using B000 en B0000

The sky is ready so it's time for colouring the water. I used B60 to map that out and I used B37 to go over the lines in the water.

I blended the harsh line out using B34.

And blended again using B32 and added some marks to look like moving water.

I went over it using B37.

Blended again using B34.

And blended again using B32

Blended everything together using B21 and that is the lightest colour.

Then it was time to colour all the other things, like these plants.

The ducks were awesome to colour.

So here you can see the finished project using Copic markers.

I've added some more light using a white Derwent coloursoft pencil. You can do it with any white colourpencil. I also added some white highlights using the Copic Opaque White paint, that finished the colouring.

And here you can see the finished card:

All the colours I've used:
sky: B00, B000, B0000
clouds: C3, C1
water: B60, B37, B34, B32, B21 (+ white colourpencil and Copic opaque white)
ducks: Y17, Y15, Y11/ YR07, YR04, YR02,  YR00
green: G28, YG17, YG13, YG11
pink: RV17, RV55, RV52
brown: YR21, YR23, E37, E35

Thanks for your visit!

A Mermaid Hello

Hi everyone!

Today it's my turn to show you a card that I made. This time I choosed to make a little underwater scéne with some mermaids and fishes. I have the Little Mermaids stamp by The Greeting Farm almost 1 year and I finally had some time to play with it!

First I stamped the images with my Memento Desert Sand ink pad on some Neenah cardstock so I can use the no lines technique to colour in. I overdrew the eyes with a black Copic multiliner 0.1 and let it dry for a few minutes.

I started to add a layer on E51 on the bottom of the cardstock to make it like sand.
Then I coloured the rest of the sand a little bit wavy because it's in water with my E55 en E53 markers.

Now the sand needs a bit more texture and I did it with adding some dots of the same colours on top of sand.

Then I coloured the sandcastle and I used E57, E55, E53 and E51 for that. I also darkend the shadow around the castle with my E57 marker to let the castle pop out more.

After that I did the water but I forgot to take pictures in between, so stupid. I decided to have my lightsource at the right upper corner and let it fall down like hairstrokes. You have to do flicky moves.
Here you can see that I coloured a bit over the other images that are still blank, but that isn't a disaster. You won't see that if you colour the rest.

After that I did the skin of both images. I always start with skin right behind I did the background.

Then I coloured the mermaids with some fun colours. I really like it to give them crazy haircolours.

Here's how it looks like when it was done but I added some details on the bubbles with the Copic Opaque White paint. You can see that on the last picture.

And tadaaaa... Here she is, my mermaidcard!

Here are all the colours I've used (there are a lot!!!)
skin: E04, E11, E00, E000
orange: E09, E07, E04, E02, E00
purple: V09, V06, V04, V000
green: G28, YG17, YG13, YG11
pink: RV69, RV19, RV55, RV52
yellow: E37, E35, Y28, YR23, Y17, Y15
blue: B29, B26, B24, B21
sand: E51, E57, E55, E53

Colouring an ivory weddingdress

Hi Copic lovers!

It's Deborah here today with some colouring inspiration and a little tutorial.
If you colour white on a wedding dress with grey, it sometimes gets a dirty look. Like it's already in the laundry for 10 times 😉

And if you don't want it to be the traditional white white dress but more of a crème look, than it's the perfect tutorial for you.

first I started to map out where the darkest colours going to be with my lightest marker (E41).
Try to find the darkest places and think at every spot you colour. Is it in the front? How are the folds going? Is there falling a shadow on it?...

Then we going to darken it up with E44

Then we're going to add the deepest shadows with our darkest colour, E47

And blend things out again with E44 and E43

Now that the deepest shadows are ready, we're going to focus on the lightest parts of the dress. Try to imagine where would be the lightest  places in the dress and keep them white and add some E41 in the other places.

Blend the white part together with the créme one using E40

And this is the finished image. Now you have an ivory dress!

Here are all the colours I've used:
skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
hair girl: E57, E55, E53, E51, E50
hair boy: E47, E44, E43, E50
ivory: E47, E44, E43, E41, E40
blue: N9, B39, B37, B34
red: R59, R37

Here's the finished card!

Don't forget to share all your Copic colourings in our Copic Marker Europe Facebookgroup!

Twinkle, twinkle, little star...

Hi everyone!

Friends from us just had twins and they are boys. We're going to the babyparty sunday, so I had to make a card for them.
I rencently bought some stamps by Stampin' Up including this "Moon Baby" stampset and I thought this was the perfect time to make a card for the twins.

I've started by stamping the rubberstamp with some Memento ink on Neenah cardstock by Crafter's Companion. Then I drew some puffy clouds using C1 and I added some depth with my C3 marker.

Then it's time to fill in the spaces between the clouds using the darkest blue marker B00.

And now fill in the rest of the space using the B000 marker and the background is ready!

I've started to colour the boys and their umbrella. I always start with the darkest colours and end with the lightest colour.

You can see how I coloured the other boy too. I choosed for orange.

I thought it's more fun when the umbrella's have some dots on them, so I drew them with my Copic Opaque White pot.
When it's finished I've distressed the borders with some blue Distress Ink. So the card stands more on it's own. Ofcourse I've added some sparkly stars.

Here you can see the sparkle of the stars.

Here are the colours that I've used:
skin: E11, E00, E000, R20
hair: E37, E34, E31
orange: E08, YR07, YR04, YR02, YR00
purple: V09, V17, V15, V12
clouds: C1, C3
sky: B00, B000

Magical Dragons!

Hi everyone!

This time I made an interactive card made with Copic markers only.
I've used a stampset by My Favorite Things called "Magical Dragons" and the castle is from a stampset by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps "Unicorns and Rainbows".

I just love magical creatures and it's so much fun to make a card with them. I first coloured the dragon in the green Copic colours (You can see all the colours below) and then I added some structure to his skin. I stippled with the same colours over the colouring.

I wanted that the princess was dreaming about her prince on a dragon.
I coloured the clouds and the sky first and after that I've coloured the grass.
I worked from dark to light and dotted a bit on the grass to give it some structure as well.
The big dreaming cloud was drawn with my Copic marker and cut out with my scissors and I coloured the sides of it.

After that I've used a die for the slider  and added it with some 3D tape and glued the rest all together. So here's my finished slider card! It was my first ever but I can't wait to do the next one 😉

Here are all the colours I've used:
skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 (blush)
crown + hair: E37, E35, YR23, Y21
pink: RV69, RV17, RV55, RV52
castle: E47, E44, E43, E41
metal: C7, C5, C3, C1
dragon: G28, YG17, YG13, YG11
E49, E47, E44, E43
red: E29, R46, R24, R22
sky: B00, B000
clouds: C3, C1, C0
grass: G07, YG09+, YG06, YG03

Thank you for stopping by, see you next time,

My heart belongs to you!

Hi Copic friends!!!

Deborah here with some inspiration for you.
Today I've got some valentine inspiration. Yes, I made a valentine's card!
I love to make them but mostly I don't sent them to anyone, maybe it's time for a change... 😉

I choose to work with this cutie by C.C. Designs and she's called "Tiny Heart". I think she's so adorable! I always colour the skin first and after that I do the hair.
Here you can see a picture when I did that and here I mapped out where the shadows are going to be. I always do that with a light colour first, and if I'm happy with that, I do the same with the darkest colour.  I guess it's just how you like to work.

Here are the Copic colours I've used:
skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E93
hair: E59, E25, E23, E41
turqoise: BG18, BG13, BG11, BG10
pink: RV69, RV17, RV55, RV52
white: C5, C3, C1
red: R59, R46, R24

After I coloured this little girl, I did the background with some Distress Inks, drawed some hearts with a white gelpen and I stamped some hearts with a fushia ink to give it some more life.

I added some sequins for a finishing touch.
