The rest of December . . . (except for a couple of special events)

Sorry, this post is all out of order, but you'll get the idea.

The night before we left I had all of the S boys sit down and play the dirty diaper game that we played at Sara's baby shower. I believe Matt won with 100%! That was better than any of the ladies got at the shower.

On Saturday night (the 27th of December) we had our S family Christmas celcebration. Here we are opening presents . . .
You may not recognize this cute young lady. This is Emmy, our soon to be sister in-law. She and Rob are going to be sealed in the Manhattan temple on Valentines day.

The picture below is what happens when my flash and Papa S flash go off at the same time.

Here is Papa S. playing with Emmett. My favorite thing was watching Brian let Emmett pull his hair to his little heart's content. (I don't know if that has done me any favors though:)

The S. fam had a big family get together with their cousins, who were in town from Texas, Grandpa M. and Aunt Janet, and Grandma and Grandpa S.

These pics are from Christmas Eve at the T. home. It was great having Grandma and Grandpa N. there with all of us crazy kids!

This was on Saturday the 19th. We went bowling the Brian, Emilie and Rob.

We had a big BYU football party on the 19th to watch the Vegas Bowl. It was so much fun having My older siblings and their families over, as well as a bunch of Paul's old college roommates. While on vacation we also got together with Natter and Mike for lunch, went to Papa Kelsey's in Twin Falls, Paul went geo cashing with Bryan and Mark, I took Scott's senior pics in Mertaugh and Amy came along for the ride, we made a gingerbread house, attempted to look at Christmas lights in Hansen, but never found them:) We played games, ate a LOT of yummy food, watched a lot of movies, visited Dave and Laura at their new condo and experienced some extreme winter weather!
Emmett had a lot of fun playing with his cousins! It was so much fun watching his little girl cousin N. sneak up stairs and read him stories when he was supposed to be napping. We would hear him laughing and that's how we knew she was up stairs playing with him. She also did a great impression of Emmett's one of a kind laugh. When we visited Dave and Laura, Emmett got so excited when we walked into Aly's room and he saw her sleeping in her crib. He also enjoyed playing with Nathan and all of his masculin toys! When we got home I had to go to Wal-Mart and spend Emmett's Christmas money on a little fisher price walker, because he enjoyed Nathan's so much.
I think that about covers Christmas. Here ar some pics from December at our home.
Emmett loves it when we brush his gums.
He discovered the keys on the piano.
We had our own little family Christmas before we left for Utah. Emmett opened his first stocking and found wood blocks.

Here is our family photo with the gifts that we got.

I didn't take any pictures on Christmas morning, because we were too busy video taping everything. Emmett got some really fun toys and cute clothes. We are grateful for everyone's generosity and had a great time with all of you.

Now it is your turn to come and visit us!:)

Emmett over the last couple weeks . . .

He was having a rough night and came in to lay down with Mom and Dad.
Paul gave him a piece of ice to play with on his stroller tray when we were out for lunch.

He thought all of the Christmas decorations were really neat when I got them out to decorate.

What baby doesn't love playing with a doorstop?!

E Playing and a peak at our weekend adventure . . .

(I love the look of wonder on his face! This little kitchen has been THE best toy for him! It is the perfect size for him to climb all over and not get hurt, usually.)

This weekend we attempted to go and visit the San Juan Capistrano Mission. When we got there we found out they charge $9 per person! Good thing I got to go there when I was in High School! We had a great time walking around the rest of the town though. I'll post more pictures later on "Creative Cookie."
