I don’t drive on this side street often, but I am glad I did today, or I would have missed this very original Halloween decor. It took a lot of dare and courage!!

The Diviners is a play based on the novel by Margaret Laurence (1926-1987). This novel was Laurence’s final novel, and is considered one of the classics of Canadian Literature.

Os Adivinhos – peça baseada no romance de Margaret Laurence (1926-1987). Este romance foi o último romance de Laurence e é considerado um dos clássicos da literatura canadiana.

Thomas Patterson 

Thomas Patterson (1920-2005) was a Stratford (Ontario) born journalist who went on to found the Stratford Festival of Canada, then called Stratford Shakespearean Festival, the largest theatre festival in Canada. T. Patterson wanted to provide “Canadian acting talent the opportunity to work with top directors and actors without having to leave the country”.

This festival theatre was named after him in 1991.

Thomas Patterson (1920-2005), jornalista, nascido em Stratford,   fundou o Stratford Festival of Canada, então denominado Stratford Shakespearean Festival, o maior festival de teatro do Canadá. O desejo de T. Patterson era proporcionar ao “talento de representação canadiano a oportunidade de trabalhar com os principais realizadores e atores sem terem de sair do país”.

Este teatro recebeu o seu nome em 1991.
