Sea World and The San Antonio Zoo

A week ago my parents took Kelton, Caden, Jace and I on a vacation in San Antonio. We had such a great time. My cousin Liz is going to school in San Antonio so she joined us for some of the fun!

We got to San Antonio on Sunday afternoon and checked into the hotel. We had some snacks in the lobby and then went swimming. The pool was on the roof of the hotel which was pretty cool. After swimming everyone was hungry. We decided to eat somewhere along the riverwalk. As we were getting ready Kelton said he did not want to go yet. It was so cute. He thought that we were leaving to go back home. My mom explained that we were going to spend 2 nights at the hotel before going back to San Angelo. So we headed out to a mexican food restaurant. My mom and I liked the food, but my dad didn't care for it much. The kids were either too excited to eat or they didn't like it because they did not eat much. Caden said that her chicken tasted like Chinese chicken. We never figured out exactly what she meant.

The next morning we went to Sea World. We had been worried about the weather being crazy hot but instead it was rainy! It was actually a good thing. We did not get hot all day long and only had to put sunscreen on once the whole day. Some of the rides were closed down and we had to wait until after 2pm to get into the water park, but it all worked out great. We wouldn't have had time to do everything anyways. We enjoyed having Liz with us at Sea World since we do not get to see her very often. She was so great with the kids. The funniest was Jace. He was always trying to get her attention and then once she looked at him he would act shy and look away.

Most of the Sea World pictures were taken on a disposable camera that we possibly left in the hotel room =( but here are a few.

The shamu show.

I love Kelton's expression. This was at the shamu show.

Tuesday morning we got everything packed up and headed to the zoo. On the way there we saw a childrens museum and the Alamo. We did not even realize how close we were to these places. We did not have time to go to either one but still they were just right around the corner.

Back in Our Own Beds

We are back from our wonderful trip to San Antonio and we are all going to be in our own beds tonight! Even Caden, who had decided that a sleeping bag on the floor of her room (or Jace's) was better than a bed, is back in her bed. Not sure what has changed her mind but I am happy to see her back in her bed instead of the floor.

I will post pictures from Sea World and the zoo soon!

This Time I Did Not Leave SA Until I Met Brady!

Even though this past week was crazy for us I was determined not to head back to Lubbock until I met Baby Brady. He is so sweet and precious! I loved all of his newborn faces he made. It makes me miss Jace being a baby.... but only for a moment (he was a colic baby).
Brady was eating lunch when we arrived.

He let me hold him for awhile before he decided it was time for a nap.

Brady sleeping on his momma's shoulder.

He looked so adorable sleeping in his swing that I had to take one more picture.

I had such a good time visiting with Kristen and Brent and Reagan seemed to get along great. Makes me wish we were living in San Angelo so we could all hang out more often.

Weekend at Lake Nasworthy

Last weekend we stayed in some cabins out at Lake Nasworthy and celebrated Monica (Grandma) and Shandra's birthdays. We had so much fun. Luckily, the weather was great. It was hot but it felt great in the shade with the breeze and cooling off in the lake helped too.

We set up a little blow up pool the first day and the kids were having so much fun playing. Then we were told that we had to take the pool down because San Angelo is in a drought. They would not even let us keep the water in for the day because others would want a pool too.

Everyone enjoyed swimming in the lake. Especially Shayne. She stayed in the water all day and only got out because she had to.

Caden loved her swim hat that Shandra bought her. I think that she loved having the same hat as Shayne Shayne the most!

Silly picture of Jace saying cheese.

We had a few visitors including Peggy and ...

The McGuffins. Kelton had so much fun that he did not want to leave!

On Saturday evening, the girls taught Caden and Kelton some soccer moves.

And then we had a short water balloon fight.

Monica and Shandra - I hope you had a great birthday!
