Our Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year! I was so glad that my sisters were able to come to Lubbock to spend the holidays with us. We made a huge mess at my parents house for about 5 days in a row, but I think that they loved MOST of it!
Once again I have gone overboard on the picture sharing, but I have a hard time narrowing it down!

The kids eating dinner on Christmas Eve at the new table Grammy bought for them.

Kelton and Gage setting cookies and milk out for Santa. I love Gage's cheesing in this one.

The kids with milk and cookies for Santa.

Ashley read Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids.

This shows how insterested the little ones were in hearing the story.

The others loved it though. Ashley is a great story reader - she loves to do the voices!

The milk and cookies the next morning.

Caden and Jace woke up to find that Santa brought Caden the doll house and Barbies that she asked for and brought Jace a basketball goal and other cool stuff. Although, Jace was only interested in the candy he found in his stocking. After a quick look at the gifts from Santa, we packed up and headed over to Grammy & Papaw's house to open more!

Caden showing Momma her Barbie car from Grandma.

The sun coming in the window above the door ruined this one but you can get an idea of how spoiled we all were on Christmas morning!

Michael taking pictures and Brent playing with his new tools.

Ashley used to (I means still does) do the same thing with her toes.

TJ was exhausted from all of the excitement.

Brent organizing his new tools that Grammy & Papaw gave him.

Playing Mario Kart - Michael and Brent both got this game for Christmas.

The kids got to play too. We all had a blast with that game. We laughed so hard. I have uploaded videos at the end of this post. They may just be funny to those who were there, but I added them anyways.

The kids sporting their new hats and gloves even though it was a warm Christmas in Lubbock.

My pretty girl in front of Grammy's pretty Christmas tree.

Jace watching the train go round and round.

Amber brought a gingerbread house for the kids. I think Amber or Ashley took more pictures of this project. I had gone to pick up Jace from his nap at our house so I got a couple at the end and most of the kids were already through playing.

This is pretty much the only way we can get all 6 of the kids in one picture. That was one full tub!
Here are the videos of us playing Mario Kart. Hope you enjoy!

I hope everyone else had as much fun this holiday as we did!

Some December Pics

My babies

Our stockings. There was once another nutcracker on the ledge under the stockings. That was before Caden thought that it would be a good idea to do a headstand on the couch!

My sweet Pie-Pie

Resting at the Gap - Shopping with Momma and Grammy can make you so tired!
Caden's school had a Polar Express Day and Caden got to wear her pj's to school

Christmas Photos

Last Saturday we tried to get a few Christmas pictures of Airiana, Shayne, Caden and Jace. Shandra and Monica were able to get lots of good ones of the girls. However, as usual Jace was a little toot. Hopefully next year will be better. These are a few of the ones I got on my camera.

We almost got a good family picture. I forgot that I had a HUGE zit on my chin and of course Jace's eyes are closed. But Caden and Brent look great!

Kelton is 4!

I cannot believe that Kelton turned 4 years old today! We celebrated his birthday last weekend. He had a Thomas birthday party. I did not get many pictures at the party so I hope that Ashley will post some of the ones that she got!

The birthday boy blowing out his candle.

Happy Birthday sweet boy! We love you and hope you had the best day ever!

Christmas Program

Caden's Christmas Program went great. Here are some pictures from that morning.

Caden in her classroom before school.

Before the program Caden's teacher made a comment about how expressive she is during the songs. I got a few pictures that capture just a tiny portion of that. She kept us smiling the whole time!

Caden's fans in the crowd

Waving at us back in her classroom.

Hugs! She was so proud to tell everyone about her baby brother.

Brother got to eat a cookie too!

After the cookies in Caden's classroom, Brent, Jace and I met Jace's new teachers. We also got to see his classroom. I found out that Jace's class eats lunch early so I will still need to figure out what I can send with him that doesn't need to be heated and that he will actually eat. He did really well with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich earlier this week. I will probably try that first. Things will all work out, right!?

Jace Got In!

I found out that in January Jace will be able to start Childrens Day Out at the same place Caden goes to school. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I think that it will be great for him. Once he gives it a chance. I am worried that Jace will cry everyday when he is dropped off. I am worried that it will be hard on his teachers. I am worried that they will not be able to understand him because there are many times when even Brent and I can't figure out what he is saying. At the same time I know that he will adjust to the new situation and probably start loving it like Caden does. We plan to just have him go to school until noon even though he could stay until 2:45. We have many reasons for that. 1. Caden gets out of school at noon and it would be easier to pick them both up at the same time since we live on the other side of town. 2. We would have to pack Jace a lunch. I have no idea what I would pack since all he eats is hot dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches. 3. They have naptime after lunch. I do not see Jace taking a nap in a room full of children his age. But you know, he could very well prove me wrong on that.
Tomorrow is Caden's Christmas Program at school. I love watching her stand up on that stage and sing. It makes me so proud. I also love how excited she is to see us in the crowd. It will be so much fun! After the program, we will get to see Jace's room and meet his teachers. I hope that goes well.

On a different subject, Caden and I decorated the Christmas tree this week.

Can you guess which ones she put up?

I realized tonight that I am missing some of my ornaments so Brent gets to make another trip into the attic!
