She's Here!

Well, Emma Jean joined our family on March 15, 2011 at 8:56am. (Why am I always in labor in the middle of the night?!) She weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 21" long. We just love her to pieces-especially Hannah! Here are some pictures from the hospital. Who does she look like?

Hopefully there will be another post soon with some baby pictures...

I finally got around to making Emma's blessing dress. I made the dress, diaper cover, and booties for less than $5 total! Very happy about that. I made my own pattern by tracing a couple dresses. I'm just hoping I can get it on her and it fits!

Parker's 3rd Birthday

This is for you, Mom. The dress you made Hannah and the umbrella you gave her that she loves. It was raining one day when we went to Fry's, and she was so excited to bring it along.

Itty Bitty Olympics

We had a great time at the Olympic games today...see for yourselves...

This is Hannah on her first day of preschool. There is a group of parents from our ward that switch off with having the preschool at there houses. Hannah is having a great time and learning a lot.

Parker and I went to Payson for rodeo weekend. We went to the parade and Parker loved the little cars and trucks...even though his face is a bit strange in the picture.

Here is some of the gang at the parade. Dad went and got an early spot in the morning so we could sit in the shade.

We recently made some brownies or something and as usual the kids got to lick the bowl instead of me...it was fun to watch. I also filmed them fighting over the bowl but I will leave that out.

Disneyland!

Here are some pictures from our Disneyland trip.

At the entrance...what a happy place!

Here we are on the monorail

Nana took Parker for a few hours so we could take Hannah on the big kid rides! Parker had fun with Nana!

Mommy and Parker on the Carousel...this was Mommy's favorite ride

Hannah and Nana on "It's a small world" ride. Nana went on this ride four times, three with Parker and one with us. Nana claims that it was due to the "no wait" but we know she loved the slow boat ride.

Hannah was selected to dance with the parade people and had fun until she didn't know where to go afterwards...that lady had to put her back in her place.

The kids did pretty well in lines, which weren't too bad, except for the line to meet the princesses, which I had to do. They were lucky enough to get behind this little girl with a bubble maker!

Hannah loved the princesses, but Belle was her favorite because she commented on Hannah's princess shirt with Belle on it. She was so happy!

It was a great trip and can't wait for next year!

Update

Well, it seems like it has been a while since we put some pictures on this blog. I kepp saying that we will get better at updating it...but we don't. Since we have some family in Pittsburgh and another in Argentina...I guess we should do better. So here are just a bunch of random pictures from Parker's birthday, Hannah's birthday, Easter, etc.

Random Pictures

Here are a few fictures since we have not posted in a while.

Family Christmas Photo at the Temple lights

Papa and Parker at Christmas

Feeding the Ducks

Golfing with everyone but Carter

These are just a few of the things that we have been doing lately. Nothing much has changed around here. Parker's 2nd birthday is this Saturday and Hannah will be 4 in April. I am sure there will be some pictures of those events at least!

Parker's Suit

Take a look at Parker in his new suit!

I'm starting to get the hang of this thing...

So I saw another cute re-purposing idea on a blog-taking a women's sweater and making a girl's sweater-dress out of it. (Here's the link http://makeitandloveit.blogspot.com/2009/11/re-purposing-sweater-to-sweater-dress.html -except I lack in the "adding a link" department, so copy and paste-but really, this is like my favorite blog right now.) Well, I didn't have any sweaters that would work, so I headed over to Goodwill. Pink tags were $1 today-I didn't want to spend any more than that in case I totally butchered it-so my choices were limited. I think I did alright on it, so I think I might spend a little more and get a sweater I like better and do another one. But hey, a dress for a buck-that's hard to beat!

Please tell me you love Hannah's skirt...

because I made it! (Don't you love the fabric?!) I feel so crafty lately...well, I've always loved making things, but sewing is very new to me. But after I get past the idea that it has to be perfect, I love making things she can wear, and Hannah really likes it too. Total cost: $2.86 or $2.87-not quite sure-maybe I shouldn't post prices I'm not sure about. But pretty cheap-and it kept me busy for 4 straight hours (not counting shopping for fabric...that takes me forever)-not bad for a hobby, and much cheaper than a movie! I love the world of blogging. I could never come up with this stuff on my own...here's the link for this one-I love that it has a pattern you can just print off. Just kidding on the link (I couldn't figure it out)-just copy and paste! http://tracyandlizsblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/line-skirt-especial.html

Halloween 2009

What a Halloween! We had 3 days in a row of candy, costumes, and fun! We sure got our money's worth from costumes this year. We got Parker's costume for less than 5 buck last year (you know me...always buying a year in advance...) and Hannah wore the same one she wore last year...hey, if it fits, why not?! Next year, I think I'm gonna try making their costumes. I think this is the first year that I really loved Halloween. My favorite word this year was "spooky." I got Hannah saying it a lot. We had a lot of fun though, and my favorite part of it means the holidays are beginning! Enjoy the slide Craig made...he's so much better at this technology stuff than I am!

Vacation

October 8-10th-California!
Craig, Cathy, Hannah, Camron, Lonna, and Ali all flew to CA for vacation (cheap flights-we love Southwest). We left Cooper and Parker with grandparents. Next time Parker can come, but we figured he wouldn't enjoy it as much this year. We went to Knott's Berry Farm for two days and hung out at the beach on the third day. We loved Knott's! No lines, great weather, and SO cheap compared to other places. Hannah's ticket was $15/day! It was fun to go to a new theme park, and they had great rides for adults. Hannah is quite the dare-devil when it comes to rides-I love it! Craig's favorite part was the break from work, Hannah loved being with Ali every second of the day for 3 days, and Cathy loved everything except for taking pictures without Parker in them.
