Goodbye 2011

Well here is the catch up from us on the last few weeks!
Our ward had a fun little Christmas party and Lily and Ellie got to see a pretty special person- Santa!
As soon as he walked in the room They ran over to him and were the first ones to sit on his lap!
On Christmas Eve we got together with some friends at one of their houses for dinner! They have a tradition of eating Mexican food on Christmas eve and it was delicious! After we ate and talked we had the kids dress up and do a little manger for us! Ellie was the angel and Lily was a very cute wise man!

We ran home after to ring bells with my family via the Internet! (Ringing bells all at the same time is a family tradition for my family) I then tried to get some pictures of the girls sitting by the Christmas tree but lets just say it didn't go over well. After The girls went to bed Santa came!!
In the morning the girls were so excited to see all the cool stuff Santa brought them.
They got dress up clothes and Disney princess dolls! There was also sea creatures in their stockings!
One of the funniest things was that Lily was the most excited about the peanut M&M's in her stocking. She was shoving them in her mouth as fast as she could.
We had church at 9am so we got see what Santa brough then had to leave. They did wear some princesses dresses to church though. While sitting in church all Ellie would do is ask if we could go home and open our presents. :)

When we did get home we opened all the fun gifts! Lets just say Lily and Ellie somehow ended up getting SO much. What spoiled girls. Thank you for everyone who sent gifts!
 Chad with all his gifts!
Here are all mine! I was pretty spoiled too! ;)
We spent the rest of the day just hanging out. While we did miss not being with our extended family we had a pretty good day!

A week later it was New Years Eve! At the Science Center they had what they call "Noon Years Eve". It was pretty much a New Years count down for kids at noon rather then at midnight! There was a balloon drop, face painting, balloon animals, and they all got hats and noise makers! We had a great time! That night we put the girls to bed and watched some movies and ate chips and dip! :) (and I of course forgot my camera so you get pictures from my phone)

Now that it the new year Lily and Ellie have officially graduated from nursery at church!
I am the nursery leader and I love my children but I am so excited for them to move up to Sunbeams! They have never had a teacher that wasn't me or Chad. They had their first day of their new class this Sunday and it seems to have gone great! I am so proud of my girls and I can't believe how big they are getting! We just love them so much!
