The water supply on the Baltic Sea island of Gotland came close to being shut off by unknown saboteurs, reports say. Damage to pumps in a lake was "not accidental."

How you pay the anti Semites of NYC

NYC politician funneled thousands of taxpayer dollars to her hubby’s organizations

A liberal City Council member known for anti-Israel remarks funneled more than $149,000 of taxpayer money to various Arab immigrant groups tied to her husband, The Post has learned.

Brooklyn Councilwoman Shahana Hanif (D-39) used her discretionary funding to pay various nonprofits where her husband is involved, including Arab American Association of New York, The Arab American Family Support Center and the New York Immigration Coalition.

And the pro-Palestinian lawmaker increased or decreased the amount she gave away to several groups depending on her husband’s involvement, according to public records.

Hanif’s husband, Abdullah Younus, joined the board of the Arab American Family Support center in 2024, when she donated $35,000 dollars to the group — a $15,000 increase from years prior. In the 2025 fiscal year, she upped the ante again — giving $50,000.

In 2022, Hanif donated to the Arab American Association while her then-boyfriend Younus was serving on the board, but dropped her funding when he left to join the Family Support Center.

Neither Hanif nor the Arab American Family Support Center disclosed any conflicts of interest to the New York City Council, according to documents reviewed by The Post.

Christine Doyle, 56, a retired attorney who lives in Hanif’s district discovered the councilwoman’s suspicious spending patterns after she became frustrated with the council member’s attitude toward her own community members.

“I don’t think there’s a group of constituents she hasn’t offended,” said Doyle.

“She was completely inaccessible with no physical office for over a year – and then when her office opened she was outright rude to constituents,” she said.

Doyle clarifies she doesn’t have an issue with the mission of the organizations receiving the funds, but the seemingly shady nature of the transactions.

“It’s like now we’re married, this organization is going to get 50,000 dollars,” Doyle said.

“You don’t do that – and if you do, you tell people you’re doing it. I liked her better when she was single in Gowanus with a cat,” she said.

Hanif has a history of controversy with her own constituents, as she represents neighborhoods with high Jewish populations including Park Slope and Kensington.

In 2023, she was arrested at a “Ceasefire now rally for Gaza” where protesters chanted anti-Israel slogans and she was one of only two council members to vote against instituting an “End Jewish Hatred Day” in New York.

Hanif said the claims were “false, and frankly desperate” though she didn’t contest the publicly available information.

“Before every budget vote, I’ve consulted directly with the Office of the General Counsel to ensure full compliance with disclosure requirements,” she said in a statement.

“Organizations like the New York Immigration Coalition, Arab American Association of New York, and the Arab-American Family Support Center provide critical services to my district while standing up against Eric Adams’ open collaboration with Donald Trump,” she went on. “Clearly, some have a problem with that, but I’m proud to stand by this work.”

Meet the five worst subway offenders in NYC — with 590 career busts between them: ‘Wanted, dangerous people’

They’re the Big Apple’s worst transit terrors.

The five worst subway career criminals in the five boroughs have a whopping 590 busts between them — including more than 100 arrests for violent felonies like robbery and rape, The Post has learned.

The five repeat offenders were among hundreds of transit terrors rounded up under a “quality of life” pilot program at NYPD transit districts in Brooklyn and Queens — and three of the alleged criminals are now behind bars.

Robert Davis, 56, has been arrested 129 times in his criminal career, making him one of the worst transit offenders. Obtained by the NY Post

“It’s encouraging that we can prove that with proper enforcement of the laws, shockingly, we can get actual known, wanted, dangerous people off the streets and out of the subway system without doing indiscriminate ’round ups,'” one law enforcement source said.

The Resistance To Climate Alarmism Grows

The end is near. That’s what we’ve been told since the beginning. The doomsdayers have cited a variety of cataclysms that will do us in, from asteroids to resource exhaustion to a dying sun. But they all have one thing in common: So far, they’ve all been wrong. Same with the climate alarmists. And the public is catching on.

A study, published by the Stanford University School of Sustainability, no less, found that “resistance to climate action has become a global movement that strengthens after governments implement climate-related policies.”

“We found that counter climate change organizations tend to emerge after pro-environmental policies are institutionalized in government,” said the study’s senior author.

Of course they do. As our friends at the Committee to Unleash Prosperity observed, this has happened “maybe because the war on fossil fuels has deindustrialized Germany and many other European nations. Maybe it’s because green energy is so much more expensive to produce. Maybe because the biggest polluters like China have done nothing.”

Let’s add another “maybe.” The resistance is likely also based on a growing skepticism. We have been bombarded by global warming scare stories for more than three decades and yet we’re still here. No matter how much the alarmists cheat, lie, obfuscate and bully, it’s obvious that the entire narrative is based on assumptions, speculation and political ideology. Every claim they make can be easily refuted. To name a few, which we’ll call the big three:

We just lived through the hottest year/month/week/day on record. This is meaningless. Hottest compared to what? The only reliable measure we have is from satellite readings that go back to only 1979 and they show nothing to get worked up about

All other data are entirely unreliable. Mixing tree rings, mercury thermometer records that are “adjusted,” numbers from nonexistent and compromised weather stations and modern equipment to whip up widespread fear is scientific malpractice.

Let us muddy the climate waters even more by mentioning that the concept of a “global temperature” is “thermodynamically as well as mathematically an impossibility.”

The experts, using their climate models, tell us that we’re headed toward disaster. Steve Koonin, who is no Republican operative nor corporate shill but a Massachusetts Institute of Technology- and CalTech-educated physicist and Obama appointeehas pointed out that results produced by models “generally don’t much look like the climate system we observe.” To keep the fearmongering hot, the “modelers then adjust (‘tune’) these parameters to get a better match with some features of the real climate system.”
