Where Did We Go?

I am so sorry that we have become M.I.A. lately. I don't have a lot of time to spend on the computer and the little time I do have I have been focusing on our Adoption Blog. You can check out www.craigheartskristi.blogspot.com to see updates on our family. I will also try to do posts on this blog but if you don't see anything here for a while check out the other site.

But meanwhile... here are a few pictures of what we've been up to.

Justin finds an old truck to drive in Moab.
Savannah, cute as a button, at the zoo.
The kids on the train at the zoo. Justin loves trains so he was fulfilling one of his life long dreams here.
Savannah and her choir group singing the national anthem at a Utah Flash Basketball game.
Celebrating the 5th anniversary of when we were sealed to Savannah. We gave her a little temple to keep in her room and a CTR ring. (6 weeks later and she hasn't lost it yet!)
Me and Savannah at the finish of the Canyonlands Half Marathon in Moab. I set a new PR of 2:20. Hooray!
We did an awesome ATV ride along the Colorado river outside of Moab.
Easter! We had fun with an easter egg hunt, easter baskets and lots of yummy food.
Disneyland! In February we took a family vacation to Disneyland. We all had so much fun! Two months later Justin is still asking everyday if we can go back to Disneyland. I WISH! Savannah was so brave and went on every ride she was tall enough for. Her favorites were Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Screamin Over California. Justin's favorites were Pirates of the Caribbean and The Jungle Cruise.

Matching Outfits

The other night Savannah and Justin were running around the house chasing each other. The next thing I know, they come around the corner looking like this.

I asked Savannah why she was wearing a diaper and she said she wanted to wear a matching outfit with Justin and a diaper was all she could think of.

The Christmas Post (for lack of a better name)

We had a wonderful Christmas together here in our home. Christmas Eve was filled with sledding (complete with bloody nose), good food, "The Princess and the Frog", an attempt at giving Savannah a message about Christ and the true meaning of Christmas, to be followed by Christmas Eve gifts of sleeping bags for the entire family...which Savannah quickly let us know were "boring" gifts. Yes, this year Savannah held back no emotions on her presents. She was either over the moon or seriously underwhelmed. She did give us all the elation in the world with high pitched screams that probably disturbed even the dogs in the neighborhood when she got her Hannah Montana karaoke machine, a play kitten, a Barbie to do hair and nails on, and a jewelry kit. Justin's main gift was a GeoTrax train set and that's really all he needed. I don't think he's spent less than 4 hours per day playing with it since Christmas morning.

I attempted (you notice I "attempt" lots of things...it's the attempt that counts, right) to get Kristi a lot of clothes for Christmas. I even tried buying her 2 Sunday dresses. Yep, both of those are now safely returned to their place or origin. As are two other running articles and the Uggz. She did not, however, return the new freezer she got...since I let her pick it out. My primary gift this year was a snow plow for the ATV. This has come in very handy the last couple of days. Among a few other necessities, I also got Chad Lewis's book "Surround Yourself With Greatness". I'm very excited to read it. I know Chad from my BYU football days and he's a very inspiring person.

We hope all our wonderful friends and family also had a very Merry Christmas and we wish you all an exciting, blessed, and prosperous 2010.

Happy Birthday Justin!

Last month (on Black Friday) Justin turned 2! It was so fun to take a day to celebrate everything about Justin. Justin loved the balloons, Lightning McQueen Geotrax, and especially blowing out his candles. He calls candles "Happy Birthday".

Justin decided to kick off his terrible two's by learning to crawl out of his crib. Fun for mommy!

No More Binky

I think I'm finally ready. It's time to put this to an end. I am realizing that Justin having a binky doesn't keep him a baby. So wish me good luck. We got rid of them (the 5 I could find) this afternoon. Hopefully Justin doesn't have a secret stash somewhere. Tonight will be the first night of his life that he'll go to sleep without a binky.

Why do kids have to grow up?
