Dead

I really hope this blog won't go dead. haha

A list of things I would love to try.

1. Nude lips.
I never wear lipsticks, however nude lip colour sound so tempting.

2. Smoky rocker chick eyes.
I have smoky eyes but never rocker chick type. I shall try.

3. Flawless skin.
I wish I could and would know how to use foundation properly. I envied those who could

Give me 2 more weeks and I will try to resurrect this blog. haha

Nivea Cleansing Wipes

You know what's the cure to laziness on removing make up at the wee hours

This!

Bought it from Priceless $9.90 for pack of two. It's about the same price to Malaysia price after convertion. It's rather effective in removing my make up including my waterproof mascara (Maybelline). Of course it can't beat doing the 3 facial cleansing steps. It make me feel a little sticky at times.

The cloth is well lubricated though, not as dry but I do feel sometimes it's too much.

They even comes with clip to keep the packet close and not dried up.

Yes, it's definitely a little more pricey compare to normal make up remover. I only use it during those night when I couldn't be bother (ie. tipsy night.heh.)

MAC Mineralize Blush - Improvise

When MAC Colour Craft comes out with a range of mineralize blusher, my heart skips a beat. Well, everyone knows how much I love my blushers and MAC Dainty mineralize blusher have been my ultimate favourite.

I was torn with choice and end up getting Improvise, with some help form Ai-Lynn who drops by.

It's definitely a nice colour to have and own. I guess I haven't fall head over heels for it yet. My house lighting does not help at all. I definitely love it's peachy light coral colour thought albiet a little shimmery.

Glowy or Shiny? I can't help feeling a little glittery when I wear it out on the noon. Better for night though and no MSF needed. :)

Can it beat Dainty? Definitely not, can be improve (pun intended.)

L to R - Dainty, Improvise.

Improvise definitely looks more coral and less pinkish when compare to Dainty. One more to add into my blusher collection. Well some girls love lipgloss, my love lies on blusher... heh

Vaseline Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera

My winter was lasted with The Body Shop Vitamin E lip balm. Towards the end of finishing the product, the twister at the bottom refused to work. So for the past few weeks, I have been going out with bare lip. It gets dry so I drink more water. It only makes you pee but not moisturize my lip. Sigh, so much for studying abroad and wanting to save money.

So after hunting for apartment today, I went to the local pharmacy; wanting to get a lip care/ lip balm. I didn't want to get those twister-lipstick-kind. I wanted something to just use my finger and apply it all around my lip.

I narrowed down to two products. Both are Vaseline.

Vaseline Basic Petroleum Jelly

The product features are so awesome. You can apply it to your skin, cure small burns, dry lips and moisturizing. It is technically all in one petroleum jelly. It's not that expensive; only NZD 7.99 for 100g (with 10% off from Radius pharmacy). Usually mothers would recommend to buy this.

Then I found this...another Vaseline.

Vaseline Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera

Priced at NZD 5.50 for 20g; it's ridiculously more expensive compared to the basic one. How I ended up buying this lip care which I think it's ridiculously priced compared to the omgsomanythingsicandowith basic Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. The sales assistant told me that the lip care is really good and she has been using it for a long time. So I believed her and bought it. Such a sucker for persuasive sales assistant.

Generally, the lipbalm/ lip care priced between NZD 5 to NZD 10 and above. $5 will be like Vaseline range, $6 for Nivea lipcare and $10 & above for The Body Shop.

But it is really good for lip care. Rather than the usual dry lip balm that I've been previously using, this is bit more moisturizing. The texure of it is a bit oily for my preference but it can be pros; 1) you don't need to use a lot 2) even if u took too much out; just wipe it on your hand to work as moisturizer (it doesn't stay oily considering this place is cold and dry).

That's the before and after. The after looks more appealing; i should say. I am not a lipgloss kinda girl. So this lipcare works just fine with its shinniness for me. :)

If you have extra; just use it as lotion. ;)

MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack

I had finally got MAC fluidline! and it is one word. A.w.e.s.o.m.e. No idea why I have waited so long to get a gel eyeliner as an eyeliner lover. sigh. Also thanks to Ai-Lynn for getting it for me and bring to Aussieland!

Without flash

With flash

The colour I got is blacktrack, which is a rich matte black. No doubt about it.Tried comparing with my other black eyeliner and they fall way behind.

left to right - MAC Fluidline, Shu Uemura liquid eyeliner, The Body Shop eyeliner

With one swipe, MAC fluidline beat my Shu Uemura liquid one which I applied two swipes. As for TBS one.. sigh it doesn't even look black next to them.

I have tried wearing fluidline for a couple of days and wore it for 12 hours and it hardly fade. As for the lower eyeliner (especially waterline) it only lasted a couple of hours. Can't complain nothing last on my waterline more than a couple of hours even Shu Drawing Pencil.

Definitely will want to try more gel eyeliner :)

Potential HG

I'm trying to compile a list of my potential HG. How I would see it if it's potential HG is when I finish it and I would definitely get it again.

Eyes
Eyeliner (pencil) - Shu Uemura Drawing Pencil
Never smear and long lasting till whole day

Eyeliner (crayon) - MAC Technakohl
Easy to apply and good colour payoff

Eyeshadow - Dior Duo Eyeshadow
I love this because it's a foolproof when comes to smokey eyes and it's buttery soft

Eyelash Curler - Shu Uemura curler
Try it and you will know

Mascara - Maybelline Volume Express
Cheap and do what it's say :)

Face
Concealer - Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer (I love this to death!)
Dark eye circle can go and hide!

Blusher - MAC Dainty mineralize blush
Foolproof blusher and natural

MSF - MAC Petticoat!
The colour of it really one of it's kind

Highlighter - Eyeko Cream
Easy to apply, cheap and don't make you look like glitterbomb

Lip
Lip Balm - Vaseline Lip Therapy
kissable lips! and less than RM10!

Skin Care
Moisturizer - Biotherm Aquasource
Not oily yet you will not have dry patch anymore!

Some stuff like foundation and all, I had tried but never really uses so I won't include it here. I'm odd I know! I prefer using concealer only. Lazy people like me haha.

I notice some of my favourite are from the more expensive brands, if it's good and do what it says and doesn't compromise my skin, I won't mind spending an extra few bucks. Just have to save a little more. Quality versus quantity, I guess for me.. I do however like to experiment with other brands especially in lower cost ones. Not such an heartache if it doesn't work compare to the expensive ones. :)

Would love to read other's HG list too!

Lush Giant Bath Bombs

Lush Giant Bath Bombs are hugeeeee. I walked passed the display and shock to see how big it is.

These Giant Bath Bombs seems to be a size of a smaller football, the kids type. (The normal bath bombs is about a size of a tennis ball. ) Apparently it's 10cm in heights. Super huge! I felt that it will cause a tsunami in bathroom. haha!

The Body Shop Cream Shadow and Eyeliner

When Mayrcks was down in Melbourne to visit me, we went to The Body Shop in Bridge Road. The Body Shop there seems to be like a sort of factory/sales outlet and many products are often on discounts. Definitely a bath, body and make up galore!

I was hesitant to spend that day (bad financial economy day) but Mayrcks treated me with an eyeshadow and eyeliner! whee! She definitely make me day :)

The cream eyeshadow was selling for AUD$2! We even tried swatching there and it's pretty and not faulty.

The colour is called Arctic Ivy and it's a pretty, light silvery colour with shimmer. Since it's a cream eyeshadow, I reckon it will be a good eyeshadow base. However, it's not waterproof at all when I rinses off the swatches.

It even come with a doe applicator stick which can be convenient and avoid over squeezing the cream out.

Metallic eyeliner! I had a friend using The Body Shop liquid eyeliner and she say it's pretty awesome. Easy to applied and easy to remove.

It's called Bronze brown and have a pretty metallic finish. And the price! It's only AUD$5! Even if I convert to RM, it is still much cheaper as in Malaysia the eyeliner are sold about RM40++ right?

When I'm having a better financial time, I will re-visit that Body Shop.

Manicare Artiste Professional Stippling Brush

MAC 187 has always been in my wishlist for the longest time and it's still in the wishlist due to the extremely high price. RM239 and AUD$90 for a brush? mad.

So when I was reading Tine's blog one day and found out about her review on Artiste Professional brush. $17 dollar for a skunk brush? pretty good deal!

Found it in Priceline (local pharmarcy) and check it out a couple of time before I get it. I'm pretty frugal when come to buying make up :P

The brush is pretty soft and I think it's make out of synthetic hair. Wash it and it hardly shed. :) Does not feel scratchy at all too.

The brush of course not as dense as my Everyday Mineral Flat Top brush but it's a stippling brush. Meant to be this way, I think. Where the two different colour of hairs is different level.

I had used it with my MAC MSF and it give a really nice glow without looking OTT. Great buy and it control my lemming for MAC 187 till later.

I shall learn how to do french manicure.

Johnson's Body Wash

I always feel that Johnson's is one of the most trustable brand. Have always been using their bodywash back home in Malaysia, so when I come Melbourne to study I still look for Johnson's. And its cheap!

My boyfriend start to buy this extra-rich moisturiser bodywash because it was on discount. It's about $3 a bottle.

I think my shower dramatically change. The bodywash is so thick! It's as thick as lotion but not oily or anything. It feel so good on the skin and because its so rich, often I skip putting on lotion after that.

We often try to stock up when there discount because the original price is about $5.99 a bottle which is rather pricey compare to other Johnson's bodywash.

Can't wait to try this Oat Milk and Almond one!

Eye of the Day

My eye of the day done by Mayrcks. Generally she is better at putting make up than me especially in the eyeshadow department (which I sucks). However she is too lazy to update this blog! haha.

Eyeshadows that has been used
MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack (which is freaking awesome!)
Kate Line Spicy - Hot pink colour on the top
Revlon ColourStay Quad - all of it.

I shall save for Fluidline!

Eyeko Cream

Finally I get Eyeko Cream after how many freaking times looking at the website. Actually, I think my boyfriend encouraged me a little, I told him about it and the free shipping(!!!), and he say get it since $AUD is high now. My first make up online purchase.

I had only bought the Eyeko Cream and these are the stuffs that I got.

As Eyeko is famous for giving out free sample when you put in the code. I put in the code from Askmewhats.com as I had forgotten mine. I found mine! It's E1449 for free sample. :) Ok.. I was a little disappointed at first that I got the wipes again. At least they had the lip balm to compensate but I was hoping its Eyeko brand though.

On to the cream, suppose to be a 3 in 1 cream - highlight, moisture and eye cream. Erm.. when I got it, I think I read enough reviews about it not being moisturizing enough. Alright with me, not my main purpose buying it.

Pretty cap and seal which is good but every time I seal it tight, the cream come out from the side of the tub.

It's pretty pretty stuff isn't it? (how else do you explain it?)

The swatches show a clearer idea of how it is. It's creamy, thick, spreadable but don't do it too slow or else it get slightly patchy. My first awesome possum swatch picture! proud :)

I think this cream works very well as an highlighter, will experimental with it more.

Oh before I forget, I got a flyer came with the stuff. It says key in 'Show' for free Eyeko Glitter eyeliner. Good luck people!

Make up trivia.

Since I'm on a pretty long holiday now and have not much entertainment, I can focus more on blogging here! I have an idea and plan to have some fun. A sort of trivia fun. I will name weird situation and setting and the limited make up I can bring with me. haha.

Situation: I'm stranded on an island with a hot hunk. I can only bring 4 make up/skincare or beauty tools with me.

The things that I will bring with me will be:

1. Vaseline lip balm! - a smooth, soft lips are very important if there is a hot hunk present ;)

2. My trusty Shu eyeliner - to have a continuous sexy lined eyes & it's waterproof!

3. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer - just because I think I can't live with out it and to remain looking fresh without eyebags whole day.

4. Biotherm Aquasource - smooth and soft skin, very important too!

I'm not sure if any blogs did this before but feel free to respond and tell me bout yours!

ps, yeah... I'm too bored and have to create something to entertained myself. haha

MAC Petticoat MSF

I finally got MAC Petticoat!!!! *scream and jump around*
that's how I feel when I got it from Fifi! Nothing feel that good when you get something from your make up wishlist.. haha

When I got it, I can't stop looking at it and caressing the case... I have been looking for it when it was re-launch again but unfortunately none in KL.

It's so beautifullllll, look at the veins and everything!

without flash and toilet lights. Look! it don't even look washout without flash.

I tried to swatch it but my camera and room lightning can't capture it nice enough.. sigh.. I hope the veining doesn't go off easily. My heart will ache..

I can't resist and tried comparing with my MAC Redhead MSF

With flash, Redhead looks more shimmery compare to Petticoat. hehe thats good, means I won't look like a discoball at all! Petticoat also looks more pinkish compare to Redhead which is leaning towards more golden/coral side?

without flash

happy sigh. first time I crossed out something from my wishlist.. hehe whee

Urban Decay Eyeshadow

Woohoo, finally I have my little finger on Urban Decay stuff, thanks to Fifi!

Both of it are matte eyeshadow. Chronic and Narcotic

Pretty cute packaging they have and its so nice that now I have more colour eyeshadow! I always buy those boring tones one like taupe, cream colour type.

As for Chronic, its a rather bright matte green eyeshadow, however when I look closely, I felt they were a slight glitter. like very fine ones. I like this colour a lot :)

As for Narcotic, its a bright matte blue. A colour that I sorta fear... never really know how to use bright eyeshadow! I always envied those beauty blogger who can use them so well. Don't worry, now I have my chance haha.

The swatches, its quite pigmented and also very smooth. All hail smooth eyeshadow! easier for blending I believe. :)

I haven't write any product review for so long, I feel that I'm a little rusty and uncertain what to write. haha
