My winter was lasted with The Body Shop Vitamin E lip balm. Towards the end of finishing the product, the twister at the bottom refused to work. So for the past few weeks, I have been going out with bare lip. It gets dry so I drink more water. It only makes you pee but not moisturize my lip. Sigh, so much for studying abroad and wanting to save money.
So after hunting for apartment today, I went to the local pharmacy; wanting to get a lip care/ lip balm. I didn't want to get those twister-lipstick-kind. I wanted something to just use my finger and apply it all around my lip.
I narrowed down to two products. Both are Vaseline.
Vaseline Basic Petroleum Jelly
The product features are so awesome. You can apply it to your skin, cure small burns, dry lips and moisturizing. It is technically all in one petroleum jelly. It's not that expensive; only NZD 7.99 for 100g (with 10% off from Radius pharmacy). Usually mothers would recommend to buy this.
Then I found this...another Vaseline.
Vaseline Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera
Priced at NZD 5.50 for 20g; it's ridiculously more expensive compared to the basic one. How I ended up buying this lip care which I think it's ridiculously priced compared to the omgsomanythingsicandowith basic Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. The sales assistant told me that the lip care is really good and she has been using it for a long time. So I believed her and bought it. Such a sucker for persuasive sales assistant.
Generally, the lipbalm/ lip care priced between NZD 5 to NZD 10 and above. $5 will be like Vaseline range, $6 for Nivea lipcare and $10 & above for The Body Shop.

But it is really good for lip care. Rather than the usual dry lip balm that I've been previously using, this is bit more moisturizing. The texure of it is a bit oily for my preference but it can be pros; 1) you don't need to use a lot 2) even if u took too much out; just wipe it on your hand to work as moisturizer (it doesn't stay oily considering this place is cold and dry).

That's the before and after. The after looks more appealing; i should say. I am not a lipgloss kinda girl. So this lipcare works just fine with its shinniness for me. :)

If you have extra; just use it as lotion. ;)
