There's Magic Inside you.....Anything Is Possible and Magical

Yep two Magical cards today. Now if you read yesterdays post you know I got up at 5am to make a card before to left for a weeks holiday. Today I am blogging the other two cards I squeezed into that morning craft session. See when you have the camper van all fully organised and packed the night before or two days before because your husband is so super organised and drives you nuts and all that has to go in is the fridge/freezer food, the dog, the humans and the computer that means you can craft for a couple of hours before you leave!!!!!

Especially if some ideas come to mind. This one I had stamped and gold embossed this fabulous large flower from The Ton and I used Zigs and lots of water and I mean lots of water. There was lots of warpage (must be a word no underline in red for error!!) so lots of book time.

Photo was taken while camping so really hard to show the intensity of colour but it is stunning and of course I added Wink of Stella but only to the centre and slightly moving out. Looks magic.

Used my crooked stitched rectangle die to frame the flower and attached to a card front with lots of tape. Die cut the Magical word from Gold mirror card and all done.
Perfect for a Magical wedding, Engagement, Love or Birthday.

This next card was inspired by yesterdays card. This time I have cut a circle acetate mask (I have done the oval, circle and square and rectangle shapes in a number of different sizes so I can reuse on cards, over and over- perfect No having to measure or waste post-it tape.
All out of thin acetate, old overhead type material and cut on the Scan "N" Cut)

Anyway yesterdays card was oval blending todays is using a circle and soft Distress Ink blending on watercolour card. And if you read my post yesterday then just look at those water flicks, so much better. This time I have used a wonderful little Jeannie and her magic bottles in the clouds. They are from 'Craftin Desert Diva's' and they are so cute.

As you can see lots of Wink of Stella on her outfit and the gems on the bottles. The gems sparkle too. I just had to have the gems falling from the sky. Its a perfect card for a special little someone and I know one special little person in my life who will fall in love with it when she comes home from her holidays.

I attached the clouds and Jeanie with dimensional foam and stamped the sentiment using the Misti as I knew with this watercolour card I would need to stamp a couple of times. The sentiment comes with the stamps and I love it.
I don't usually show the stamp sets and I don't get anything from showing this but I just think they are so cute and easy to colour and I love the nice and the snarky sentiments (I do enjoy snark).

So as you can see a simple card that has come together really nicely with that simple lightly blended background.

Now to see if there are any challenges for these cards

Challenges:

Theres Magic Inside You Card - lots of twinkle on there and those gems are
certainly old and being used up as I love how this turned out.

Happy Birthday

This card came together at 5am this morning. There is nothing like when you go to bed with an idea bubbling around in your head and you haven't played it out. Bad idea really, for me anyway, it ends up disturbing my sleep too much and I should have made myself get up at 1am and make the card just to get the rest of the night. But no, I kept thinking I'm too tired, give it a miss this week.

We were setting off for a weeks holiday camping in the morning so no time for last minute card making. But if you know me then you know I love last minute so I gave up at 4.30 made myself a coffee, woke up fully then made the card to go with the mermaid I had coloured during the 30 Day Colouring Challenge so really not a lot to do, it was just a matter of deciding which idea to go with.

Now of course the Camper Van is parked, we are all set up, Elysha has been for a walk to the river and then the beach. Jake has introduced himself to all the other little dogs in the park (lots of dogs with little dog syndrome), we are onto our second ciders, and yes its started to rain. Ohhh my the Walkers are on holidays!!!!!

Now onto the card.
I wanted to take part in the Muse Card Challenge and time of course is running out but thats part of the fun. Ohhhh I love the inspiration card again this week.

This week its Tracey McNeely and I just love her card. The soft bending, the water flicks. The cute little critter with the heart and the sentiment all appealed to me.

I was very tempted to go with the blue and green Distress Oxide as I do so love this stuff but I also  had another idea. I used an acetate oval stencil I made on my Scan N Cut to mask my cardstock then I blended half blue and half mauve Distress Inks to go with my Mermaid. Very soft blending like Tracey's card.

I had cut out the Mermaid and rock (MFT) and Fish (Stamping Bella) also with the Scan N Cut. They are all coloured with copics, I added a little bit of glitter on the scales and some Wink of Stella in her hair. The Wink of Stella looks more like dandruff in her hair, you can hardly see it. You will just have to believe me when I say it does sparkle.

For the sentiment rather than embossing I decided to die cut and I did that from Green/Blue glitter paper. My mermaid is attached to the single layer card and I did do some water flicks but I need to work on that skill as they just don't show up here at all.

Time to link up before I use up all my download time on my phone.

Challenges:

I love using Die Cut sentiments, either glued on or set into the card. I think they add class and style to the card and best of all they are less likely to stuff up my card than a stamped sentiment. I have a terrible habit of ruining finished cards with stamped sentiments or smudged ink so I love die cuts plus there are so many now available to choose from (probably too many now!!).

Thanks so much for coming to visit and I hope you come again soon.

The Flower Challenge #17 Reminder Post

Before I do the reminder post I thought I would share this wonderful piece that Viv put together for each of the team members highlighting our Best Cards on the Flower Blog for 2017. Isn't wonderful, you often forget the beautiful cards you have made and rarely have time to go back through old posts so it's nice to see something like this. Thank you so much Viv for picking out such wonderful cards.

Now onto the reminder  for this months challenge

It appears to be a slow one this month. Maybe  bit confusing or appears hard for people so after my last one which was a million and one steps I thought I would go ultra easy with this one. So here goes:

This beautiful stamp is from The Ton Rose Bouquet and there are a number
of flowers in the stamp set. This is my first time using it and I love it
as usual I can see lots of potential here. The Sentiment is from another
new rose set from The Ton as well.

I stamped the bouquet twice, once on the white card stock and once on some patterned paper that looked like watercolour splashes. I stamped in Distress ink in Antique Linen (not sure why actually).
Fussy cut the flowers which took all of 5 minutes then copic coloured the leaves and little flower buds. Added the fussy cut pieces with  dimensional foam. Finished the card off with a bit of black glitter washi tape and some black enamel dots.

Nice and simple and very easy and quick to do.

Hope you enjoyed your visit and now its time to go see what the rest of the Design Team have been up to. Hopefully there is some inspiration out there and you will join us in the challenge.

Happy Valentines & Love

I'm late with these as Valentines has come and gone but so have the cards I just needed to do the post. I was in hospital on Valentines day so the post had to wait and it's taken until tonight for me to finally get myself moving on it. Nothing major just trying to work out why I still have a cough that comes and goes in intensity for the last year and the reflux issues that have come along with it.

Anyway enough of me.

I finally bought myself this Stamping Bella image. Ohh my I love her ( its me really
except for the wings).  I stamped and cut her out with the Scan 'N' Cut.

(Let me point out here that because these images stamp up quite fine it is best to stamp them separately from other images that may stamp heavier. I found that if they were on a sheet of cardstock with combined stamps from different companies the machine just could not recognise the lines of the Stamping Bella stamps properly and that would lead to images being cut out incorrectly. To beat this I did a page with only Stamping Bella images stamped and they all cut perfectly).

I coloured with Copics and added lots of Wink of Stella to the wings and frill of the dress and flower in her hair and the bubbles coming out of the drink. The close up shows the sparkle.

The background is Tim Holtz Distress Oxide smooched, dried and smooched again. Die cut 'love' and a few hearts and added the image with dimensional foam.

This card started out very CAS with just the stunning beauty coloured with Copics. I was going to attach to the front of a card and leave CAS with just a Valentine sentiment but it caught crooked and when I pulled it back of course it ended up misshaping the card front and so I had to rescue it.

Sexy young lady, digital image from Kenny Kiernan, Copic coloured
die cut with the Postage Stamp die with silver washi tape on each side to add a bit of glitter.

I have used a white and silver heart pattern paper added to the cardbase. The image layer has fun foam added at the back to give it a lift. I then die cut the XOXO and 'happy valentines day' from silver glitter paper and attached with glue.

Have an Awesome Birthday

This was one of those last minute cards, yes again. Elysha had already made Dale a birthday card and I wasn't going to worry about doing one because her prince and castle and princess and family but....

I wanted to try out the wave stamp from the Ton and this was the perfect opportunity.
How cool is this stamp. So easy to use. Of course I used the Misti to make sure it lined up perfectly.
I used Peacock, Mermaid and then Faded jeans for depth . The Faded Jeans I stamped twice and the second time I sprayed a little water on to help it blend a it. The sentiment comes with the Stamp set.

The shark and board are Avery Elle and of course go with my sense of humour perfectly.
I stamped, copic coloured and fussy cut the pieces. Lucky my son gets my humour.

Party Time

It's nearly time for the Muse Card Challenge to close again.
I love the inspiration provided by Vicki
this week

Love the individually cut critters and the circle and stripe so I decided to go with those features and add to my card in my own way.

I used acetate to mask the card front and added the circle as a background of pale green and blue like a background with Distress Ink in very soft colours and a couple of flicks of water just because.

I Copic coloured the three critters from Purple Onion, then fussy cut them, added some Wink of Stella to the ribbon on the present but you cant see it here. I also go around the edges of the outline where I have cut with a black Copic to  re-define the stamping.

I added a double strip of washi gold foil hearts on the side, then attached the critters so they look like the front two are holding hands. I cut a piece of wood look pattern paper for the post in the penguins hand, die cut the banner from green vellum and the sentiment from white card stock. All done and I think its so cute, its just what I wanted.

I wish I had found time earlier as its a great design and I can see this looking fantastic with so many of my stamp sets. Hopefully I will remember. Thanks vicki for the inspiration.
