I do not know where the week has gone!! I have so many things going on. Great things, happy things. That being said, I missed my own deadline for poet/artist of the week!! I do apologize to my precious writer that I was to feature this week. Instead of posting it late...I will wait until mid-week as usual. Again, if you would like your poetry, writing or art to be part of my weekly feature, please let me know. Leave me a message or contact me via email.
I did want to share some good news. I have been published, again, by the Copperfield Review. I was featured in their spring edition and now have been published in their SUMMER edition. I could not be more proud!! Now, I just need to start setting some more writing goals and get back on a schedule. I had planned to write so much this summer but after the publication of my second book on lulu.com, I have hit a bit of a dry spell.
Even more good news...Friday, I got together with some great girlfriends to see Easton Corbin, Sara Evans and RASCALL FLATTS in concert. It was a blast!! I Won't Let Go...theme song of the night...and just a song that touched me deeply - as they sang, I thought about what really matters.
Much love, Noelle.

Nearby Surprise
when the end of the day is a nearby surprise
affection begins to shelter the struggle
companionship rises, common mind's rhythm
deal with things left undone
hopeful perfect laughter
misfortune, injuries near or long past
finding perspective through intimacy
trampled dreams revealed
empathy, oh, compassion challenges
ideas of loss and renewal
did we have "that" talk...
somewhere nearby
the crane flails night air
rises from the creek
silently ascends the moonless night
two listening to their hearts
gasp as one

For these Moments...
I seek solace in
the reflection of your eyes
it is there that I exist
in a sunny day of perfection
I shine for all to see
as I live flawless
in that picture you sketch
I stand proud - glowing
as I see myself so clearly now
for the first time the snapshot so crisp
and it is for these moments
I am in need for nothing more..
I am in need for nothing more...... <3

Oh, Serenity
Today seems magical
almost - mystical
the sun hiding amidst clouds
the air I breathe - summer cool
Mist of rain along morning's path
I raise my head up - towards the universe
splendor and enjoyment....will it last?
all that is missing...is my cup of tea
piping hot...oh, serenity!!
Today is a perfect day to visit my
guilty pleasure - Teavana! I'm thinking
a cup of samurai chai mate blended with white
ayurvedic chai will suit me to a "tea"
What's YOUR guilty pleasure??

Poet of the Week
Much gratitude to my friend Rebecca over at Veils of Rapture for allowing me to feature her as the Poet of the Week. Please follow the link to her page for some more of her fascinating poetry. Rebecca is gifted, introspective and so kind. If you would like to be featured as the Poet/Artist of the week, please let me know.
Sometimes
i love how it feels
when pieces fit together
meticulously in my mind
bordering an infinite vision
bound by this drive
sometimes so hopeful
but then sometimes not
if i crack or split
which i often do
i collect the tears
that puddle in my hands
but sometimes
there are too many
so they escape
between each finger
as if these tiny leaks
were a sign or a message
for me to just let go
sometimes no tears fall at all
even when my heart aches
and suffers through unbearable waves
there will always be faults
that pour from inside
sometimes i know they sting
so i rage to veil my fear
and sometimes that blinds the path
i know i must choose
sometimes though
to keep from going mad
in a mad world
i wish it was all more than just
sometimes.

Scars
they came back to her
in the dark chamber of the night
flashing before her eyes
like the lightning of angry storms
was it a dream state
she couldn't escape
she was fighting
to get her soul back
not strong enough-
not even in her dreams,
they ate her heart-
her sunshine, her sparkle
causing their fool bodies
to glow like the still moon
discarding her gentle soul
to dissipate on that
dark road of unhappiness
how does one live without
a heart or a soul?
in the dark chamber of the night
flashing before her eyes
like the lightning of angry storms
was it a dream state
she couldn't escape
she was fighting
to get her soul back
not strong enough-

Poet of the Week - Craftsman of Light
Thank you, Craftsman of Light at Stars in my Inkpot and Crying Skies for being the first Poet of the Week to be showcased here. If you would like your writing to be presented here, please feel free to contact me.
You make my heart ache like a peach tree about to flower
i collapse into the tender words of your letter
Unable to pull myself out from its laughter
i drink from its warm blue skies
Remembering
our tightly enlaced bodies.
Each word unbuttons like your thin white skirt
swaying into my thoughts
on a cool summer morning
till i wore your deeper yearnings
till i wore their silence.
June sprays on our faces
sleeves drenched
hair wet, shoes in the puddles
smiling, deliriously happy
squirming my eyes
i stood in your world.
Have you noticed how the light changes in the sky
when something beautiful drifts into our hearts.

Dreams Linger......
Small little moppet, you little head case
what dreams still linger that you dare to chase?
what dreams still linger that you dare to chase?
In the dimly lit, powder room mirror
you long for the past but your eyes see clearer
your once shiny hair, and shimmering eyes
are a thing of the past like distant good byes
You try but are unable to carefully trace
the memories that match all of the lines on your face
You think stigma surrounds you with each turned head
Anxiety bleeds from your pores - you're one step ahead
Be proud of yourself unique as you are -
you are a wish someone made on a luminous star

Pink (P!nk) - Perfect (Music Video) HQ [2011 *NEW*]
Dreams <3
I have tucked your words
beneath my pillow
in hopes that my dreams
shall capture them and
bring peace to my restless slumber
and maybe, just maybe
for some fleeting moments
before I wake, I shall truly exist
as you have written
me out to be and I may wake
with the proud memory of
my grand performance in the
starring role upon which you
have cast me
P.S.
***Thank you for calling me "perfect" xoxo***
