Wednesday Chris called me in the early afternoon to let me know he was just given two tickets to that night's Yankee game. He asked if I thought he should take Colin, to which I answered "YES!!!"
Colin was so excited. He ran upstairs to find a shirt and a hat to wear and got dressed faster than any child on Earth. Here are a few pictures from their adventure.

Two Years Ago Today - Part Two
I'm sitting next to Chris writing the last blog post when he said "I'm about to blow your mind". And he sent me the following email. Apparently he wrote it exactly two years ago today and set a reminder for himself to send it to me today. How amazing is that? And also amazing is how much of it came true. I have the world's best husband. Oh and you can see from the email that we really didn't know we would end up naming our little guy Owen.

Hey buddy.
So, we are about to have our second child. Cormac. Another little C-Mac.
So, things going on:
-we are about to have our second child
-your mom is here, she is going to watch the little madman. Colin knows that he is going to have a brother, but I am not sure if he is really ready for this.
-I think there is a chance that this might still end up a girl. Photos lie.
-It is Wednesday the 11th. I am not exactly sure when you are going to have this baby, but it is going to be close. I am still rooting for 7-11 and a kid names craps, but I am not holding my breath. Come on craps. We are getting short on time.
I hope I remember to send you this. I have to set a reminder.
So, I can't believe we are going to have numero dos running around. Maybe we should call him the duece. Duece M. Sweet. He would have to be an athlete. Or a profesional poker player.
In two years, here is what I hope. We are still doing well. I love you now more than ever. Everyday. You have been amazingly cranky and moody lately, but there is a 10 pounder in your belly. OK, 8 lbs 14 oz. Sorry, I know that is big, but that is my guess. And I love you. You are the best.
I want Colin to be a great big brother. He is going to be, I know it. He is the sweetest kid on earth. If you can raise another one even close to that little buddy, I would love that. He is awesome.
I also predict that we will join a swim club near us. I have to look into that. Colin is going to love the pool. Let's see, the Yankees are shitting the bed, they are playing 500 ball. The Red Sox are crushing them. I am never going to stop hearing it from Joey. I hate the Red Sox.
Sorry, I digress. So, you are pretty ready to rock and roll. Your mom is a blessing. Thank her for me in two years for me. She is a great mom to you girls. It is nice. I love that. You guys are a great family.
Well, I am not sure what else to write, this was just something I am trying to do and I hope I remember to give it to you.
I love you buddy. Good luck with numero dos. I am still pulling for Ainsley.
love,
me

My Great Dad
This is was part of the card Colin made for Chris at school for Father's Day. I thought it was pretty funny. The parts in italics are what Colin filled in.
My Great Dad
My daddy is 54 years old.
He weighs 10 lbs and is 10 inches tall.
His hair is dark and his eyes are brown.
He loves to relax by closes his eye and he likes to wear work clothes.
He loves to cook hot dogs.
His favorite household chore is vacuum.
His favorite TV show is Daddy & Mommy Shows and his favorite song is with the girls singing.
Daddy always tells me Colin.
He loves to buy me hot dogs.
If he could go on a trip he would go to work.
I love you Dad! You are the best!
Although Chris loved it, he was not too thrilled about Colin aging him by twenty years.

Happy Fathers Day
We had a wonderful Fathers Day Weekend. Saturday we went to the Aquarium.
Owen with the hippos:
Saying hello to sharks:
The inevitable picture in the shark's mouth:
Sunday we woke up and Chris opened some presents:
The boys did some snuggling:
And looked at the Statue of Liberty (see it in the background?)

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!
Friday was Chris's birthday (yes, I'm late blogging this). Colin was extremely excited for his dad's birthday. Birthdays are a huge deal to four year olds and Daddy's birthday was no exception!
Colin put a lot of thought into what he wanted to buy his Dad for his birthday....he decided...Legos! What 34 year old doesn't want Legos? Owen looks impressed with Colin's choice too, doesn't he?
Colin also decided we should make a Yankee cake! Who doesn't want a Yankee cake? So the boys helped me with the icing and we surprised Chris with the cake.
He looks like he likes it!
And OF COURSE the inside of the cake needed to be swirly blue! Because Colin knows his Dad's favorite color is blue too.
Who needs plates when you can just dig right in?
Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Father's Day, Chris!
Today is Father’s Day and I wanted to take a minute to thank Chris for being an amazing father to Colin and Owen. Each and every moment he spends with the boys, he makes it special. From putting up Colin’s bounce houses anytime he thinks Colin is bored, to making sure he’s home every night to help give them their baths and to tuck Colin into bed, he always does his best to make them happy.
During the week, the boys and I have a blast together, but they are never so happy as when they hear the door open and Chris walks in. They both run to the door to get hugged, tossed in the air and chased around the house. I can’t tell you how often Colin has turned to me to say “Dad’s great, isn’t he?” Yes, Colin, he certainly is.
Happy Father's Day!
