Merry Christmas!

We're all still recovering from our recent colds and the fun and chaos of Christmas. Chris actually seems to be the slowest to recover as he now has a sinus infection and double ear infection. And yes, I meant CHRIS has a double ear infection. Who knew that happened to adults?

But besides the neverending illness, we did have a very good Christmas. The boys got everything they even thought to ask for. They got to spend time with *almost* all their cousins (Bobby and Sean, we'll see you this week) and were very impressed with the entire idea of Christmas. Santa was very good to them as were their entire families.

Blizzard of 2009

We waited most of the day yesterday for the Blizzard of 2009 to appear. It did start snowing around 4pm or so and the boys played outside a little before dinner. But the true snow fall happened over night and they woke up to a TON of snow to play in.

Nursery

The nursery is almost done. I still have to hang a few pictures (or direct Chris about where to hang them) and then it's finished.

Some pictures of the work in progress...

Kids' Holiday Party

My moms group puts together a wonderful Christmas party for the kids each year at a local "play place". Colin has been looking forward to it for months. Or probably since last Christmas. In fact, the morning of the party (it was last Thursday), he was so upset when I told him he had to nap before the party that he said "Why do you ALWAYS do this to me!?!?" I asked him "do what?" and he said, "Why do you always make me think something is happening now and then it's not now". Whoops.

But despite having to wait, they had a really good time.

Waiting for Santa!

Owen got tired of waiting, naturally.

But Colin loved seeing Santa.

And even insisted on opening the present with Santa.

Happy Holidays!

St. Nick's Day!

Saint Nicholas made an appearance at our house again this year and left some wonderful goodies for Colin and Owen. Colin was very impressed and shouted "How does Saint Nicholas know I like Star Wars!?!?" St. Nicholas is very smart.

Colin got Mace Windu and Owen got "Master Yoda". I find it hilarious that they only call Yoda "Master Yoda".

Happy Saint Nick's Day (belated, obviously).

Busy, Busy, Busy

Things have been pretty hectic in our house, thus the blog has taken a bit of a backseat. Sorry about that. I have been working on the nursery, getting ready for Christmas and taking care of two boys who are on their FOURTH straight sick day from school. So it has been busy, busy, busy.

I'm happy to report that the nursery is about 90% done. I just need to get clothes washed and hung and artwork for the walls and then I can sit and wait for baby. I even took the boys for our first trip out of the house in a few days to grab some teeny tiny diapers. Those are stacked in their teeny tiny piles just waiting for little boy to get here.

Colin and Owen are extremely excited for Christmas. In fact, it's just about all they are talking about these days besides the baby and Star Wars.

As for me, the presents are *almost* all wrapped, the boys are *almost* all better, the Christmas cards are in the mail and I'm getting ready to move from crazy mode to waiting mode. Hopefully that happens soon and I can get back to updating the blog more often.

In the meantime, I will get pictures of St. Nick's and the boys' Christmas Party online right now.
