Hi everyone!
I don't usually care for blogs (the word actually makes me cringe) but I figure it's easier to do this than to tell every one over and over again!
Friday we went to the hospital at about 3:30 pm. They stuck us in a room and left me there screaming for at least a half hour! Justin finally had to go get someone to come check on me. When they finally checked me, I was already 8 cm dilated and almost ready to go. I told them I wasn't going anywhere without any drugs....I wanted to die it hurt so bad. She got me on the IV and about 5:30 I finally got my epidural.
We sat there until about 9:30 and just waited for those last 2 cm to dilate...the doc finally decided to break my water instead of waiting. That got me going, at at about 10 pm I started pushing. I pushed for two and half hours before they told me to stop.
They let me rest for about an hour (while the doc delivered the baby next door) and then he came back and we tried to deliver with the vacuum extractor. The doc only let me push through 2 contractions with the vacuum though....then he made me quit.
I had a cesarean and the baby was born at 2:26 am on Saturday, July 19th, 2008. I passed out during the surgery-it didn't hurt but I could sure feel him pulling my insides around and that knocked me out. I came to long enough to kiss my baby before they took her and started sewing me up. I got staples :S

Justin said the doc was rough with my insides. This baby did not want to come out-they had to use the vacuum AGAIN during the surgery to get her out! The poor thing has a huge big red sore on her head where the vacuum was attached :(
Saturday went really well...and then came Sunday. They tested her for Jaundice and she was borderline/high in the afternoon, but when they tested her Sunday night she had gone up into the high category.
It's Tuesday morning now, and we get to go pick her up this afternoon! She had to stay at the NICU Sunday and Monday night to be treated with the BiliLight. We got caught up on some sleep, but I can't wait to have my baby!
I've attached some pictures we've taken, but beware: I look icky :( We don't have any pictures of her in the light thing, but maybe we can get one later when we go to pick her up!
There are also a couple of videos!

Oh for those of you who plan on coming to the blessing, we are probably going to do it the Fast Sunday in September (which ever date that is, I'm not quite sure).
