There was a carnival with friends and the two little ones...

Trick-or-treating in the neighborhood...where Roxy was Little Bo Peep's sheep!

And skyping with Gigi, K-Dan, Aunt Cambrey, Uncle Joe, Adam and Zachary!

Could it get any better?

Probably not.

It was simple.

It was low key.

It was family and friends.

It was all we could do on a Sunday night.

It was funny.

It was joyous.

It was perfect.

A Big Deal

Each year I am disillusioned.

I believe that each child is going to be able to pick out a pumpkin in...I do not know...less than an hour...

I do not know why I think this. I mean, picking out a pumpkin that is "yours" is a really BIG deal in this house! After all, you have to live with the pumpkin choice until at least Thanksgiving, and if you do not get the right one, it is likely that one or more of your siblings will criticize you choice for a plethora of reasons that have yet to be dreamed...

Oh, picking out a pumpkin is a big deal!

There are little options.

GIANT options

Options we try on our heads...

And options we lick?

Perhaps it is the hanging around and lack of trying to find a perfect pumpkin that hinders us?

But, we EVENTUALLY pick one...

And we all rejoice!

Destiny

Is she destined?

With so many educators in her family, has her fate been sealed?

She is reading to her "class" on the way home as she does EVERY day when we are in the car. She does this first and then asks questions of the group where she also offers commentary and then asks if everyone understands. Ha!
