One more week is over.

This week has felt normal. I feel like I have gotten some of my grove back. I am actually accomplishing things and keeping my home in order. This week Lanae started swim lessons on Tuesday and Thursday nights. She loves it. She is doing really well. The class is for 1 to 3 year old. When we arrived at the first class the instructor asked me if we were in the right class. I ask her why? and she said well isn't your daughter 4 and I said no she is only 3. I am thankful to have a healthy 3 year old and I am thankful she is tall but some days it gets old explaining over and over again that she gets it from her Dad and not me. On Saturday we are signing her up for soccer and I am sure we will have to explain it again. :)

I had an epiphany this week. I have been trying for months to get Lanae to go potty by herself. She has been lazy and refuses to pull down her own pants and underwear. I have explained to her over and over again that she has to learn this so she can go to preschool and also be a big sister. But she still is LAZY !! So the other I was thinking to myself about how I potty trained her. When we potty trained her we used potty candy (smarties) after she went she got potty candy. (it may not be the best for her teeth but hey it worked so don't judge) So I told her that she could get potty candy if she went potty all by herself. She was excited and has been going by herself finally !!! Thank GOODNESS !!! Why didn't I think of that sooner.

On Wednesday we went to the Bedford Splash which is a mini water park. This is the 3rd time we have been. Lanae loves it. This time we went with our new Texas friends Melissa and her daughter Laree. I am thankful to finally have made a friend here in Texas.

I am also proud that we have not eaten dinner out all week. :) That is really good for us. :)

Time goes by quickly.

Over the past few months things have been crazy. Life has been crazy. I think I am finally getting my home and my family back in order after the move. What a roller coaster we have been on.

I am now a little over 4 mos pregnant. The first few months were harder than Lanae's pregnancy. I was really exhausted and nauseaus. Now that I am in the 2nd trimester I have more energy, but I have also started showing. We can't to find out in a couple weeks what we are having. Lanae says it is a baby sister.

The Texas heat might get the best of me. As soon as June hit it turned 100 degrees and has not droped since. I am just holding my breath until September when it supposed to cool down. I hope I can make. This is crazyness !!! I have learned to not go out unless I have too.

Last week I spent a week back in Colorado with Desi and her family. Lanae and I had a great time. I miss my friends allot and it was great seeing everyone at church.
It was nice to have a little mini vacation. I helped me realize that my life has been turned upside down with the move and stress. Coming back home I have made it a priorty bring my life and my familys life back in order before this new baby comes.

Blessed

I am so blessed to have Family so close. I didn't realize what I was missing until recently. Texas is starting to settle in. I still don't feel quite at home but I am hoping to soon. I only have a few more boxes to unpack and pictures to hang. I desperatley need someone to come and decorate. I feel like my house is just a mod podge of stuff. Where do you start.

This week starts a new routine in our house. I start watching my friend Pricilla's son this week. His name is Malachi. Lanae is excited to have a playmate and I am excited to get some orgainzation and routine in this house.

We had an early easter egg hunt at Grandma's house last week. The cousins where in town so it was a perfect time to for all of them to hunt together.

Almost 3 weeks in Dallas

I sit here and can't believe that it has been almost 3 weeks since we moved to dallas. The 3 weeks have gone by so fast. I have been so busy trying to settle in I havn't had time to blog. I miss Colorado and I miss my friends. But all in all I am adjusting well.

Lanae loves being so close to Grandma and Grandpa and playing outside in her back yard.

My new ward is nice but compared to the old ward it is huge !!!. As of right now I know no one.

I am anxious to be involved. I am the happiest when I am in the middle of something. I guess I should be careful what I pray for. Hmmmm...

I am trying to find some routine in my world.

I love our new house. But I do hate the unpacked boxes acting as decor. A little every day and sooner or later it will get done right?
