Gosh where did those two weeks go! It's time for another challenge at  Whoopsi Daisy  and as we now have two teams it's team A's turn to share their inspiration with you. The theme this week is to pile on the flowers.

I've used an image from sheet #343 and coloured with promarkers and highlighted with stickles and a gelly roll pen before die cutting with a nestie oval and matting onto a fancy scalloped oval. Papers are from Wild Rose Studio and were left over from another DT project. Base mat is made with a Martha Stewart PATP decor fan punch. The flourish is a Marianne Design die and all other die cuts are from my Spellbinders Lattice set. Card is finished with some gingham ribbon, a doiley, flowers and pearls from my stash. Sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio.
All the burgundy card came from my bit box - the large mat is actually two pieces joined together!

Good News

As many of you know my resolution this year was to start scrap booking with a vengeance and get my photos sorted out. Well I'm doing okay so far and have been thoroughly enjoying it. I recently saw a Design Team call for a new challenge called Happy Scrappers and decided to apply and I'm so chuffed to have been chosen for the team.

The challenge will be monthly and go live the first Saturday each month. This is a UK based challenge and just for fun but I hope those of you who dabble in scrap booking will pop over and support us.

On a different note I showed Lora her scrap page last night and she wondered how anyone could get covered in that much chocolate from one Nutella jar lol

I made this card a few weeks ago and didn't get around to blogging it.

Let it Snow

Good morning from a dull but dry Scotland. We were out most of the day yesterday visiting the Sunday market before carrying on to support the intrepid travellers in their marathon bid by skateboard. All three completed the 26 miles the first two in three hours and the third in three and a half. Gary did have a helping hand for one lap though:

Freya had a great time although I think this lap was more one step forward then two back as she went off on a tangent sniffing everything!
Managed to do a quick layout last night.

Using My Memories Suite and a kit from LLL Creations called Snowy Day. I think this was the first real snow the boys had ever seen. I must make a matching page with the other photos, especially the one where they're pushing Grandad on the sledge!

Challenges entered:
Sketches in Thyme - #75 scrapmat

Christmas Card Club - anything but a card

A good morning to you all. I spent a nice afternoon at the Sincerely Yours craft show at Edinburgh yesterday. Managed to buy a few bits and bobs as you do - some topper sheets from Krafty Hands, a few stamps, some Beatrix Potter decoupage sheets, pearls, a magazine and Coredinations cardstock (that I can remember lol).
We'll no doubt be off to the racetrack this afternoon to watch eldest and his friends do their skate-a-thon, the Sunday market is right next door so we may have to pop in for some fresh made donuts!
Can't believe another fortnight has passed and it's time for another Christmas Club creation. This time the lovely Clare has challenged us to make anything but a card. I've upcycled a white paper bag.

The backing papers are all from my bit box and have been matted onto gold mirri card. Image is from Whoopsi Daisy and was lying ready printed so I coloured with promarkers then die cut with a nestie before matting onto gold mirri card. I've used an edgeabilities die for the scalloped edges. Red lace and tinsel are from Costco. Sentiment and bakers twine from my stash. Snowflakes are punch waste. Card is finished with some glamour dust, stickles, highlighting with a gelly roll pen and a Christmas tree phone charm which came out of a cracker last year.
Do pop over and see what the other girls have made, you'll find their names on my sidebar.

Challenges entered:
Secret Crafter - film title (The Snowman)
ABC Christmas Challenge - H is for hardware plus a DT call
For Fun Challenges - no cards
DYSU - stripes
Shelly's Images - anything goes
Jingle Belles - peace on earth

Happy Birthday Daughter

Good morning all,is it Friday 13th again...........blogger decided to upgrade me overnight and I'm not in the mood to tackle this new layout this morning!!
It's rather dreich here at the moment. I hope it fairs up over the weekend as eldest and his friends are doing a 26 mile sponsored skate-a-thon on Sunday to raise money for his Mongolian trip and hopefully I'm off to a craft show at Edinburgh tomorrow too.
Today's share is the card I made Lora for her birthday in December and forgot to post.

As she isn't a girly girl she's quite difficult to make for, however she does like dragons so this pre-coloured digi from The Paper Shelter was perfect. I printed the image several times and decoupaged it up before matting onto a nestie scalloped oval. The papers are from a very old HOTP stack which I bought from QVC many moons ago. Card is finished with some Bakers Twine, gems and a button which I recycled from one of Lora's socks.

Challenges entered:
Crafty Catz - stripes or checks
Totally Papercraft - all buttoned up
Joanna Sheen - someone special
Cuties Pies - circles
Ribbon Carousel - bright colours
Top Tip Tuesday - spotty dotty
My Mum's Craft Shop - favourite song/movie (Puff the Magic Dragon)
