Why we live in Arizona

Now I'm remembering why we live in Arizona. Finally the weather is beautiful. The flowers are beautiful and it's about time for some visitors hopefully again. Here are some pictures of the bushes in our yard. The plants are beautiful everywhere. You can tell the sage is my favorite. I couldn't decide which picture so I did four.

Bougainvillea

Craig and I went with the Parkers to The Little Mermaid at the Hale Theater. We, even Craig, enjoyed the performance. Brody liked the dog the best but after would not take his picture by the dog. My favorite picture is me trying to get Brody close to the dog. Check out Helena's blog to see that picture and more. The funniest part of the whole day is after when we asked Gavin how he like the play. He told us that wasn't a play. He had to sit the whole time and he never got to play. We decided we had to call it a show from now on. I'm glad Helena take us places or we would never go anywhere. Our biggest excitement is going to the mall and getting cheese on a stick. Now we can play games outside and soon the swap meet. Come visit before May!

Surprise Visit

Sym surprised us with a visit. Who would want to drive alone in July to Arizona with 3 little kids? I think she didn't tell us because all she would hear from us is that she is crazy. Josh did fly in Wednesday night and drove back with them Sunday morning. It was fun to see them and actually the weather was a lot cooler than normal. Cloudy and humid so we did swim a bit. You all knew how much I wanted a pool. Well, Craig finally let me get one. Isn't he nice.

This is Cheyane in our back yard pool.

Helena and fam. visited often also.
This next picture shows why Gavin gets into trouble.

But there is payback time. Gavin and Grandpa are to much the same.

When Grandpa saw this picture he was not happy."Who put those kids up there? Why are they on my ledge?" You know how it goes.

Leaving us. Thanks for the visit. Next time let us know.
We did have a great time playing games and shopping also.
Come visit sometime.

Paris Blessing

Paris was blessed on Father's Day-June 20th 2010

Paris received a wonderful blessing from her dad. Chris' mom and dad flew up for the weekend to see her blessed.
I think this is the first time I posted first, before it was old news. Yeah for me!

Hudson J Peterson

Hudson was born on May 24th 2010.

Bath time
First shyness and then excitment

I finally made it to the hosptial.
LaNae and Arvona picked me up from the SLC airport. We went to lunch at Applebees and then LaNae dropped me off at the hospital. Sym has the cutest babies with tons of black hair.

It was good to see Travis, Shandi and Chase.

Remi's Dance recital. She was very excited and performed a great dance. It was fun to take her to dance class.

The girls loved to swing, and we made it to the park one day in between showers. That was great fun also.

Cheyane's Birthday was on June 4th. Little girl parties are much calmer than little boy parties.

Hudson's Blessing Day
June 6th
Blessed by his father Joshua. Hudson's blessing outfit was so cute. This is the same outfit that Josh wore when he was blessed. His Grandmother sewed it for Josh and is now saved for Hudson.

Did you notice that Josh's eyes are opened?

My sister Beth. See the resemblance?

I Love this picture. Cheyane is such a Joy.

Remi. Such a wonderful big sister!

It was so good to help with the girls, play with them and take care of them. After Sym got home, Remi still let me help her, but Sym was still Cheyane's favorite.

I did see Sue that I worked with and went out to lunch with friends, Katie and Ronda.
I ended up doing a lot of family activities. LaNae, Arvona and I went to the Temple. A worker asked me if I was Beth. We do look the most a like. I always thought I looked more like the Rawlings side, but when I look at Grandma Sharp I think I look the most like her. Then we sisters met Irene at the Blue Bird to eat (I thought of Braydan and Jessica). It was very good. I also made it to Juniper Take-Out and Angies with Sym, Josh, and kids. I went to the Texas Road House with Travis, Shandi, and Chase. Saturday, June 6th we had a family party at Willow Park. It was so good to see all the relatives. Beth and Dan and their two kids, Carrie, Jodi and their kids also made it up. It was so good to see everyone. Many traveling far to come. and many we missed. I was able to see Nicci, She came to see Sym's baby and us of course. I went to see Sarah, Matt, their kids and their home. That was very fun and I enjoyed all of Sarah's health information. I slept at Dad's Saturday night while Beth and Dan were up. We played games, Quiddler, that night and Sunday after the blessing Beth, Dan and I went to LaNae and Sids and played Quiddler again and then we played Canadian Salad which is a card game. To say the least Sid and I killed on the Salad. Spelling we will work on. Then Monday I said my sad goodbyes to Sym and the kids. I miss them and Josh a lot! Dan and Beth drove me to the airport. We stopped and saw Arvona, Ed, Jane and the girls. I played a fun game called Hullabaloo with the girls. It was great fun. I even bought it when I got home to play with my grandchildren. So come and play with grandma and grandpa.
Memorial Day
I took Dad and Shirley to a lot of cemetaries. I forgot my camera one trip but I did take a lot of headstone pictures. Geneology I guess. I enjoyed Memorial Day this year.

A visit from Travis, Shandi, and Chase

Thanks for visiting! Most of these pictures are from Shandi's camera. Thanks for taking so many pictures. I just developed 110 pictures today, and I love them. They stayed 3 nights with us and this was their first visit to our home in Queen Creek. Maybe last, driving anyway.

We of course go to the Museum. Brody didn't cry this time as long as Grandpa held him, and I did miss Kaleb's excitment for dinosaurs. I thought Chase wasn't quite sure about the dinosaurs. We should have switched off to trains. Next time if he's not to old.
Once Brody and Gavin arrived it was more exciting for Chase. Panning for gold I think was the favorite.

We did get a good game going now and then. The boys must be picking on me to have all of us smiling. I was great fun.

That reminds me. Craig's friends from Hyde Park came to visit last month for the weekend. It was so fun seeing Lavell Jensen, Dave Strong, and Bruce Axtell. I even liked hanging out with the boys, and we had some good pinochle games and good laughs.
Back to the family

Here's the boys playing outside. Travis and Shandi were pretty hot. It was up in the 90's. Just perfect for Craig and I. We had fun going to the swap meet, eating at San Tan Flats and then driving up to the mountains for some good cacti pictures. I would have posted some but thought Shandi would like too. They turned out wonderful along with Paris, Brody's and Gavin's. I wish you would have taken some of Chase at the same time. I still need a new 5x7 of him.
Thanks so much for visiting. We loved having you.

Brody

Grandpa
Most know how much Brody and Gavin love Grandpa. Here is a picture that show just how much. I have been sick so Craig and I haven't visited for a little while. I called up on the phone and talked to Helena and the boys. Of course Brody wanted to talk to Grandpa. We were both on the phone and when ever I said anything Brody would say loudly "Grandpa" so I didn't talk and in a little bit I said a word again and Brody says "grandpa". Today Craig went to visit without me while I went to the Doc. I shouldn't feel bad. Brody didn't even want his mom to go to the park with him, Grandpa, and Gavin . I did get meds. so hopefully will feel better soon. I can't wait to see little Paris. It has been a week.
