Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

Just remembering Pres. Hinckley like the rest of the world. He was such a wonderful man. Seemed to be perfect in every way possible. He was the sweetest to his dear wife, Marjorie and we are glad he is able to be with her again. We wonder what kind of warm welcome he received in heaven. I am sure there are a lot of wonderful and amazing people there to see him.

When we saw the breaking news on t.v., I said, "Pres. Hinckley died!" J.D. said "what?? what mom?" I told him again with tears in my eyes and he stuck out his lower lip in sadness and he said "why?" (We prayed for pres. Hinckley every night so he was very aware of who he was.) I told him he was just old and he died. He was sad, that made me even more sad.

The next day he saw Pres Hinckely on the news again and he told Josh "Pres Hinckley is living with Jesus." Nobody told him that, I dont know how he knows that. They are just so smart.

We love you President Hinckley!!

Star Cafe

We had breakfast with grandpa Neilson at Star Cafe. (My mother-in-law's dad) The boys have not seen him forever. It was nice to spend a lil time with him. His wife has had Alzheimer's for about 9 years- almost as long as Josh and I have been together. She has been in a home for many years and is non-coherent and he sees her everyday. Drives Bountiful to Ogden. He is a wonderful man, we love him very much. He also has a sense of humor as you can tell in the pic. Daughter and dad- how sweet is that? Isn't my mom-in-law just so cute? Best mom-in-law a girl could ask for.

Last trip up north

Hanging out with the cousins. This is at Gateway at Hansen Planetarium. They are on the news here for the weather (not really, just pretend) so they can see themselves on the t.v. We saw a dino show in 3-d and Jordan was horrible, but J.D. liked it and we say one about stars and planets. The chairs are way back so you look at the ceiling and watch the show on the ceiling. It was cool. Both boys loved that. Guy time with Uncle Brody and uncle Bryson. They love to see their uncles.

NEW BEDROOM

THIS IS THE BOYS NEW LOFT BED. WE PAINTED THE WALLS BLUE AND I DIDN'T HATE IT AS MUCH AS I THOUGHT I WOULD. (DOING IT I MEAN). I LOVE THE BED FOR THEIR SMALL ROOM. IT HAS A DRESSER AND A DESK ATTACHED TO IT ALONG WITH SOME SHELVES (WHICH JORDAN FELL THROUGH TWICE THE 1ST NIGHT). WE KEEP A BODY PILLOW THERE SO HE CANT MOVE THROUGH THE SPACE ANYMORE AND IT WORKS FINE. I AM SURPRISED HE HAS BEEN SLEEPING IN THERE NOW. HE EVEN TAKES HIS NAPS THERE. YEAH!!!

SCARY NIGHT

JUST GOT HOME TODAY. LAST NIGHT WE WERE DRIVING HOME FROM SLC. DRIVING AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, WE START GLIDING ON THE ROAD. WE HIT BLACK ICE AND LOST ALL CONTROL. WE ENDED UP IN THE DITCH 5 MILES NORTH OF FILLMORE. WE WAITED FOR HELP ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF. IT WAS NOT FUN. JOSH AND I THOUGHT FOR SURE WE WERE GONNA ROLL THE CAR. MY 1ST THOUGHT WAS, HOW CAN I HELP THE BOYS SO THEY DON'T GET HURT AND THEN WHEN I REALIZED THERE IS NOTHING I COULD DO, I HELD ON FOR DEAR LIFE. I DIDNT EVER REALIZE UNTIL LATER, BUT I WAS GRIPPING THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE HANDLE BY THE CEILING. JUST SAYING "JOSH" OVER AN OVER AGAIN. WE SLID ABOUT 150 FEET SIDEWAYS. WE JUST SAW ALL OF THESE WEEDS FLYING PAST US AND IT SEEMED LIKE FOREVER. EVERYONE IS FINE AND NO DAMAGE TO MY CAR. IT WAS JUST REALLY SCARY. WE WERE BOTH SHAKING AND JOSH WAS IN SHOCK AND JUST KEPT TRYING TO DRIVE BACK UP THE HILL AND I KEPT TELLING HIM, WE WONT MAKE IT PLEASE STOP! FINALLY HE STOPPED AND WE CALLED A MILLION PEOPLE AND WAITED FOREVER BECAUWE THERE WERE SO MANY SLIDE OFFS AND ACCIDENTS. IT WAS JUST A CRAZY NIGHT. WE ENDED UP SLEEPING AT A MOTEL IN FILLMORE WHICH WAS HORRIBLE CUZ ALL 3 OF US WERE IN THE BED AND JORDAN WAS KICKING AND SCREAMING AND THRASHING ALL NIGHT, HE IS THE WORST TO SLEEP WITH. ANYWAY.... THAT IS OUR LATEST AND GREATEST. GLAD TO BE HOME WITHOUT INJURIES! THANKS RACH FOR THE HELP WITH THE TEMPLATES. OH AND I FINISHED THE 1ST BOOK, JUST WAITING FOR MY NEIGHBOR TO FINISH THE SECOND ONE NOW.

COMPUTER DUMB

I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW DUMB I WAS WITH COMPUTERS UNTIL I TRIED TO FIND CUTE NEW TEMPLATES FOR MY BLOG PAGE. DOES ANYONE HAVE LINKS OR IDEAS FOR DUMB PEOPLE LIKE ME? I GET A HEADACHE WHEN I TRY TO FIND AND COPY AND PASTE AND WHERE TO PASTE AND EVERYTHING ELSE. PLEASE SEND YOUR IDEAS MY WAY... I KNOW YOU HAVE THEM! (STEPH) OH AND BY THE WAY STEPH, YOU GOT ME CURIOUS ABOUT THE VAMPIRE BOOKS, I STARTED READING THE FIRST ONE LAST NIGHT. I SAW MY FRIEND WITH THE SECOND AND SHE WAS GONNA GIVE IT TO MY NEIGHBOR ACROSS THE STREET AND MY NEIGHBOR HAD THE 1ST BOOK SHE JUST FINISHED, SO I TOOK IT AND TRADED WITH HER. I WAS ON THE LIST AT THE LIBRARY AND THERE WERE 35 PEOPLE ON THE LIST BEFORE ME! NOW I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT A YEAR TO READ IT (SINCE I AM TOO CHEAP TO BUY IT). NOW I GUESS I WILL BECOME A VAMPIRE TOO?!

OUT OF WORK

MY LAST DAY AT REGIS SALON WAS LAST FRIDAY. HOLLISTER BOUGHT OUR SPACE AND THE ONE NEXT TO US AND THERE IS NOWHERE IN THE MALL FOR US TO GO. THEY ARE NOW OFFICIALLY SHUT DOWN IN ST. GEORGE. IT IS REALLY WIERD. GOOD TIMING THOUGH, EVER SINCE JAYDEE'S SURGERY, I HAVE NOT HAD THAT DESIRE TO WORK ANYMORE. I THINK A BREAK BEFORE THE BABY COMES WILL BE GOOD. I AM PAINTING J.D. (AND SOON TO BE JORDAN'S TOO) ROOM. IT IS BLUE THAT MATCHES THE BEDSPREADS I BOUGHT FOR THEIR LOFT BED. I AM EXCITED. THE BED IS IN A "T" AND HAS A DRESSER AND DESK ATTACHED TO IT. THERE WILL BE NO ROOM FOR ANYTHING ELSE IN THERE. BUT IT IS A SPORTS THEME AND I THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE CUTE. I USUALLY HATE PAINTING BUT THIS TIME WAS MORE FUN, EVEN THOUGH IT GAVE ME A FEW CONTRACTIONS AND I HATE THE MESS. J.D. HAS BEEN SLEEPING ON THE COUCH ALMOST A WEEK NOW. I AM JUST TAKING MY TIME AND JOSH FINALLY DID THE TOP THAT MEETS THE CEILING, BECAUSE I CAN'T REACH THAT HIGH. NOW I NEED TO DECIDE WHAT TO DO FOR THE BABY'S ROOM. AND I HOPE JORDAN ADJUSTS TO THE BED FROM HIS CRIB AND SHARING A ROOM.

We drove up north on Christmas day after we opened our presents. It was a fun Christmas. A long drive and Josh and I drove separate, that makes it even worse. We drove straight to Park City to Josh's aunts house for a party. Then after dinner and opening gifts, we went to my parents and played there until almost 1:oo am I could not believe I was up so late for such a long day. It was fun and got to see lot's of people.

We opened presents from Josh's parent's at their house the next day, but they were not there cuz Chelsea had surgery (her appendix removed) and so they just had us open with the boys while they were at the hospital. That sucks Chels- sorry you had to do that for the holidays.

Josh came home Thurs and we played until Sun. On saturday, I was able to go to Sandy and I met Kel there and she drove us to Provo and we met Hev and Al. We ate and hung out at the mall talking for hours and hours. Got ice cream, talked more and then had to call it a night. Those hours only seemed like one. It went by so fast. It had been way too long. Miss you guys already!! Took down the decor today. That is always a lil sad. Poor Jordan is sick, he can't stop coughing. Ya just feel so sorry for them when they are like that.

New Year's Eve usually sucks for me, but we played games at out neighbors house and there were about 4 couples there. It was really fun. I don't have many expectations for New year's Eve cuz I havent had much fun since I was a kid at my grandma's house with all my cousins. Those are some good memories! Hope you all had good holidays and wish you all the best New Year yet! Don't make so many resolutions you can't keep them all and don't beat yourself up. Take it one day at a time!
