it's like it's been forever since you've been gone.

for the first time in my life, i wished i could play the piano well. actually i'm still wishing. it's strange. for as long as i can recall, i've never wanted to touch the piano since my dad finally allowed me to drop it. yet it feels different now. something's changed.

the gentle flow of chords pulling my heart strings with a longing that refuses to yield.

here's something to do during the hols...
a good time for my dust covered piano in sg to come out of it's many years of neglect.
i wonder if it's still in tune. my note-reading skills need a refresher.

that more daring, artsy side of me is suddenly coming back with such a vigor that it surprises me.
where's it been all these years? suppressed by dead-pan routine science and maths? stifled by some things else?

twilight's bringing it all back... the part of me that dares to dream.
why only now?

and i just can't pull myself away.

CAN SOME KIND SOULS GET ME THE "TWILIGHT" SERIES BY STEPHENIE MEYER?

thanks to my dear friend aster for putting that series into my head. for those who were as ignorant as i was barely 2 days ago, twilight is a series of 5 books by Stephenie Meyer.

1. Twilight
2. New Moon
3. Eclipse
4. Breaking Dawn
5. Midnight Sun

Due to a leak by someone, the first 12 chapters of still-incomplete midnight sun got released online. i had a peek(yeah, finished all 12 chapters) and i'm totally sucked in. i wanna read all 5 books! it's a fictional(duh.) novel with its story revolving around the romance of a human girl and an absolutely charming vampire with the ability to read minds of anyone around him with the exception of this girl.

the idea of someone being able to read the thoughts of people near you is frightening yet sometimes amusing. i suspect that'll be extremely helpful in deducing a person's character... i'd like to find out what some people are really thinking and feeling sometimes. but maybe some things are better left unsaid? maybe.

frankly, this is the first fiction novel that i've touched since coming to melbourne. basically it's been a really really long time since i last sat down and immersed myself into the imaginary lives of these characters. Allowing the authors to bring me on a whirlwind adventure... it gave me an escape from boringly monotonous yet sometimes overly-dramatic mentally and emotionally taxing reality.

i wanna know what happens to Bella and Edward!!
i love the way both of them read each other's facial expression to try to figure out what's going on in their minds.
i love the way their chirpy banter teases each other.
i love the way they can easily talk about anything.
i love the way Edward looks out for Bella(although bordering stalking sometimes) and
how much effort he puts in to make sure Bella's not in trouble.
i love their dilemma of doing the right thing.
i love their frigging cars. Edward's volvo and aston martin, Rose's BMW. SWEET!
i love... a lot of stuff about them.

yeah, i'm hooked.

**twilight(the movie) will be out in November.

Recluse.

that time of the year's here again! coffee fueled late night mugging and brain saturation at it's best/worst. finals will be here in 1.5months and i'll be going into by mugging mode right about now. so i might update and i might not. if there's something really impt u need to tell me, try my aussie hp or email me anytime. i'm gonna cut down msn appearances too so that's not a good place to reach me at.

cratered cupcakes

*SQUEALS* i love gossip girl: serena, dan, chuck, blair, nate, jenny and eric!! piqued curiosity and boredom got my attention while season 1's plot, witty one-liner retorts and oh-so-gorgeous clothes got me hooked. season 2 premiered yesterday in the states and boyyyyy, have i been anxiously anticipating this season. episode1's definitely gonna keep me coming back for more. fabulous!

ok i'm done squealing about gossip girl. so signing off xoxo to that!... for now.

to all my dear friends who replied to my previous post, thanks for your encouragement and all. keeps me going just a little while longer. also, i'm glad to get so many outlooks on living life. i guess i'll just slowly explore different perspectives and try different approaches. afterall trial and error has got me where i am today... and i probably still have a long way to go.

i needa spice up my life a bit. it's getting too boring and it's making me feel all depressed and emo-y. bad... i'm gonna start making better use with my time instead of worrying and thinking too much. start trying out new things and who knows... might get hooked. x)
