My Little Man

So my "little" man is not so little. We took him in to see if his ruptured ear drum and healed and luckily it has, but he now weighs 15 lbs. The boy is 3 months old! I wanted to post this picture just to show how cute he looked for church. He is such a little dude!

"Camping"

A couple of friends and I decided that we wanted to take our families camping over Memorial Day weekend. But  we waited to long and were not able to get any campgrounds. So, we decided to do a test run and camp in our backyard. I think we chose the one of the hottest days of the year so far. It was miserable. So miserable that we were not able to have s'mores because no one wanted to light a fire.
I didn't get any pictures of that night, but the kids had a blast running around catching fireflies. They were exhausted and seemed to sleep okay. It ended up that the dad's ended up sleeping in the tents with the kids and us moms were in the house with the babies. It was a lot of fun, but I don't think that we will be camping anytime soon until it cools down. I sure miss the cool Utah nights!

The next morning the kids were up and wanting breakfast at 7:00. We had the "camp" torn down by 8 and everyone was gone by 8:30 it was just to hot. The kids were roasting outside waiting for their breakfast.
The adults were inside having their own fun. Here's our friend, Jamie, sipping all of the pineapple juice on the pan. He didn't leave one drop on the pan. Guess he really likes it.
We really did have a lot of fun, but everyone was exhausted, hot and sticky. Hopefully we can try again this fall.

Sara's Ballet Recital

Sara did a wonderful job for her recital. I was really nervous that she wasn't going to do it. In fact, they came and got me out of the audience because she was having a meltdown. I asked them to try one more time without me and see if she would do it. I knew that if she saw me it would be all over. It worked! She went out on stage and did a wonderful job. She is still wandering around the house singing "Good Day Sunshine" and doing her dance. Here she is with her roses from daddy.
 Posing with Daddy and Spencer.
 Me and my girls!

Fire Truck

The firetruck came back again this year to collect money. The girls were not as apprehensive this year to get in as they were last year. Sara even blew the horn and scared poor Spencer. It is such a fun tradition.

The First Giggle

I got Spencer's first giggle on May 18th. Isn't he the cutest thing ever!

Recital Preview

Sara had her dress rehearsal for her ballet program. It is the only time we are able to take pictures. This is what I got. I will blog later about how she did! So glad I stuck through the miserable time she was giving me trying to get her to go to ballet. She loved being big like Anna and being able to dance on stage!

Love!

This picture makes my heart happy! I am the luckiest person in the world!

Kentucky Tree Art

I had to snap these pictures. There are so many trees here in Kentucky that they are growing into the power lines. Instead of cutting the trees down (which I am grateful for) they trim them to grow around the wires. I just wish that they would sculpt them a little better. If you click on the pictures you will see what I mean. They just trim around the wires and let them grow all crazy. Makes me laugh every time!

Sara's Preschool Program

This post makes me a little sad to post. Sara had her preschool program a couple of weeks ago. She had a little line about what a pig says on the farm. We practiced it over and over again and she had her lines down! Well, as they are walking out I notice that she is crying and very upset. I thought it was because she was shy and having a hard time doing it in front of the audience. She was sad throughout the entire program and didn't sing or say any of her lines.

Well, turns out that the reason she was sad was because the tie on her dress was undone. I felt horrible! I would have gone up and tied it had I known. Poor Sara. Sometimes being so stubborn makes life really hard. After we left her preschool she repeated the program word for word to me and has been doing it ever since. Oh, my sweet Sara. How I love you!

Field Day

Anna had her first field day. They did it first thing in the morning and it was really cold. Sad thing is that in the afternoon the temperature got into the 80's. Oh well, the kids had a lot of fun. And I learned that Anna is not very coordinated when it comes to sports. Something we can work on!
First up was the sack races.

Then hitting the bean bag with a paddle for sixty seconds.
She really excelled in this one. She had to stack the cups and then take it down in groups. She did really good!
This made me chuckle. They had water sports and the class before Anna's soaked their teacher. Anna's teacher gave a 10 minute lecture on how if they even thought to get her wet that they would lose recess. It worked. She stayed dry!
