Spring Break

We wanted to do something fun with the kids for spring break. We are near so many big cities that we are hoping to explore them before we move back West. That being said, there is not a lot you can do with a newborn. So, we headed to Cincinnati to check out the aquarium and IKEA. It's only about an hour away so Spencer didn't have to sit in the car too long.
The aquarium was great. It doesn't top the one in Atlantis, of course, but for being a small aquarium it was pretty good. The girls loved it.
Spencer had a great time bonding with Daddy.

The girls thought that the octopus was awesome.
The spider crabs were huge and freaked me out!

 A huge alligator.
Anna isn't quite as long as he is!
 And tons of frogs!
Sara wasn't feeling to great, so I'm lucky I got this picture of her.
 Trying to be happy.
 Chasing the jelly fish.
Anna decided to be really brave and pet a shark. She said that their skin feels like sandpaper.
It ended up being a lot of fun. We were so glad that our dad was able to join us for the day!

Spencer!

I found Spencer like this the other morning. What a boy! He looks quite peaceful. I neglected to put his stats from his six week visit. He is 13 lbs even and 23 1/2 inches long. Which means he has gained almost four pounds and grown 2 1/2 inches since birth. No wonder the boy is constantly eating!

Grandpa and Grandma

We were lucky to have Grandpa and Grandma come on their way back as well. I didn't get a lot of pictures, but these were a couple of good ones that I did capture. We love and miss you! Thanks for coming!

Easter!

A sneak peak of what the bunny left the girls.
He also left a lot of bunny poop (chocolate covered nuts) all around the house. My favorite phrase of the day was when Sara walked into the family room and exclaimed, "Holy Moly. He pooped in the family room!". Love that kid!
Anna insisted on leaving out carrots for the bunny. He left her a note of thanks.
The girls in their Easter dresses from Grandma Hadfield
We were lucky enough to have Grandpa and Grandma back with us for Easter. We also had a couple of our friends come over for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. Oh, we also had the Elder's as well. It was a little bit chilly, but a lot of fun.
 The chaos of the hunt.
The dad's hid the eggs so we made them look for them with the kids, just so we wouldn't miss any.
Spencer pretty much chilled in his swing the entire time. This is the best picture that I have in his Easter outfit from Grandma Hadfield.

Spring Party

Anna's class party was on Good Friday, which Rob had off, so he was able to come and attend it. Also, it was dress as your favorite character day and Anna chose Belle.
The party was so cute. The theme was The Lorax. First she read the book to the class and every time she mentioned The Lorax the kids would put a yellow mustache on. I'm bummed that I didn't get a picture of all the kids with their mustaches.
Then they moved on to decorate bird houses with bird seed. Sara even got to participate. She insisted on dressing up as well and chose Repunzel.

Then the moved on to planting a flower.
Removing fish from the dirty pond into the clean one.
And finally they all got to adopt a Barbaloots.
It was a lot of fun and the girls had a great time!

Smile!

I got a smile today and was able to catch it on camera. I love this little man of mine!

One Month

I can't believe my little man is one month old. It has gone by so fast. Sure love him!

He went to church the first time and he was not a fan! He cried through all of the meetings, especially Relief Society. The best was during the sacrament meeting closing prayer. He started crying and enticed other babies and toddlers in the audience to cry as well. By the end of the extremely long prayer no body had heard any of it because of the babies. Everyone knew it was Spencer crying first since he is the only newborn in the audience. Hopefully we will have better luck next Sunday.
